I have used this repair shop for many many years but after the experience I had today, I will never go back. I feel I was grossly over charged for the two inches of single needle stitching to resecure a strap on a tote bag. Took less than a minute and he charged me $20.00. At first he quoted me $45.00 and I guess he could tell by the look on my face , I was going to turn around and walk out the door. SO HAPPY. I had a pair of old Nike sneakers and the sole was so hard and cracked- they wouldn't grip. I went to several shops and nobody would resole my sneakers. This guy said he would and even offered black or white. Went with white- they look awesome. He wasn't rude, just a guy doing his work. Give this place a chance, just don't expect him to fall all over you because you came into his shop. read more

For starters, the initial estimate was too high - $53 to resole and re-stich around the tops of a pair of older leather 'half' boots, once called 'Cuban' boots. When I picked them up today not all of the stitching was complete, one of the insoles was coming out and the decorative sides were coming undone. Prior, the insole wasn't coming out and the decorative sides weren't undone. Bottom line, it wasn't a good experience. There was no effort for quality workmanship, overpriced, and no effort at customer service. Too bad. Next time I'll go to their competition in Irving. My advice; enter at your own risk. read more

I hate that I have to give a star to write this. Please BEWARE, this place does not do quality work. They ruined my purse. It's a vintage Gucci my mom passed down to me. My husband and I just happened to be in the area, saw this place and decided to go in. There are other name brand purses/bags hanging around the shop, so you just assume they have handbag experience. I didn't even need anything extreme done to my purse. I showed him my purse (small crossbody) and explained what I needed; an inseam restitched (maybe an inch long, right along the seam) and a simple cleaning. He assured me he could do it. We even had to pay in advance. When we return to pick it up, it's not ready. I'd left it for 2 weeks exactly. He "cleaned" it but the inseam hadn't been sewn. He said he must have over looked that. He tells us it'll be an hour and when we return, I wait in the car and my husband goes in to pick it up. While we're driving home, I'm excited and ready to use my purse but realize ITS RUINED. He used glue to fix where the threading had come apart at the seam, instead of sewing it and he must have thrown it in the washer to clean it bc the leather was warped like it had been soaked in a liquid. We didn't return to complain or confront him bc what was he going to say...or even do...surely not fix it? Maybe give me a refund, if I'm lucky, but its not about the money, it's the principal. HE SUCKS!! He ruined the purse and I'm heart broken but feel better forewarning prospective customers. Now I know why their policy is to have their customers pay in advance. read more

I've taken my shoes here on several occasions with good results, but this last time I was very disappointed. I went to pick up my shoes I had left the week prior and I saw that there were scraps and my shoes were damaged! I know they were not that way before but the owner rudely argued with me telling me they were already there and that he did not need my money. My husband had his boot resoled there and the soles bubbled up and the heels fell off. Cheap material used in place of neoprene soles and heels. My son took his ostrich boots in for resole and when he went to pick them up they had them for sale. The date to pick up was not expired, and he had left a deposit for the repair as requested. This place is run by crooked thieves that use cheap material and request a deposit to do the repair and then they will sell your boots before you pick them up. NO I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYONE. read more

Took a pair of Frye boots and walking shoes to get the leather replenished with oils and polish. Nearly $400.00 worth of shoes and the guy will not let me pay when I pick them up. Really? Wow. Grabbed my shoes back and walked out. Now that I have read some of their reviews on various sites, so glad I walked out with my shoes. read more

With the first pair I had fixed here, I didn't get a chance to meet the very nice man that runs the shop. I brought my second pair in today and he was able to fix my wedges in about five minutes! Under $10 and prompt service - can't beat that! read more

This place said $19.95 (The only phrase he spoke in English) but charged my card $65 and no receipt. After waiting a week to stitch one inch of leather and fix a small strap. If I hadn't had the wallet over 30 years I would've let him keep it. Don't go there, especially if you don't speak Spanish! read more
