Any venue in Los Angeles County that lets me race my car is worth five stars! Long ago, I had the opportunity to race a few times on Terminal Island and at Hollywood Park, and I think it's sad that the only other public facilities left are far away in Fontana and Palmdale. The eighth mile set up allows for practicing launches (I'm trying to practice for Pro Solo auto crosses). I got there early, and, more or less, was able to hot lap my car. The staff was friendly and patient, making for a pleasant experience. The track drew everything from SUVs to purpose-built cars that yanked their wheels on the 1-2 shift. The pessimist in me thinks everyone should go and support this track, especially the Thursday night events, before some developer buys it, and turns it into tracked housing. read more

We love going to the races here and especially night of destruction but tonight we sat an hour in backed up traffic to get into the parking lot only to find out parking is cash only. It's 2019.... who doesn't take cards?? At least have an ATM available to get cash for those of us up with the times. As far as the traffic to get in, how about hiring some traffic control officers to direct and expedite the entrance, it's not like it's the first time you have held events at your facility and don't know that traffic backs up.... you could even pay the officers in cash!!! read more

Big thanks to my wife who gave me this for christmas! Had a great time, again! Highly recommended, get the 89 insurance so you won't be thinking twice to go fast, and don't waste your money, go fast! Twenty laps is plenty of fun and you will be tired if you do a good race. Staff is great and very helpful, listen well what tell you in the pre race class and you will have fun. I had never been to a drifting or racing event before. I went with my friend for their Thursday night drifts and had a blast!! The venue is awesome, huge, well-lit and welcoming. I got really into watching the cars and trucks! There is not much of a beer selection but the 805 local stuff is refreshing and delicious! All staff was very helpful and friendly. Recommend bringing cash, there is no ATM available on site on Thursdays and most vendors are cash only. read more

The staff here were helpful & nice. It sucks that insurance doesn't come with the package but for $89, I'd rather spend the extra then total a stock car and have to pay for it. Anywhoo, the cars are freaking awesome. This was my first time but certainly won't be my last. Climb through the window, adjust the seat, nevermind, no seat adjustment. Get pillows to scoot forward, check. Switch on gas, battery and something else. Strap on 5 point harness. Start your engine! Oh and smoke your boyfriend/ girlfriend so u can brag later. Wow! So me and my friend decided to go here after we got free tickets from work. (We both work at Toyota, just to let you know) And it was pretty crazy fun. It's the type of event where you see a lot of different people of all kinds. And it's the type of event where you see a lot of people race cars, and there are always potential crashes. Which was wicked fun. When we got there, mind this, we were kind of late, because of traffic. They had already started to sing the national anthem. And so we stood out there for 5 minutes and they finished and then we walked it. And yes to all you crazy people out there, they serve beer there! So of course the friend had to grab two beers for himself. Then we seated ourselves down, and started to watch the race. And oh man! Did we cheer loud or what? We kept seeing Toyota cars, so we would cheer them on! Because we work at Toyota, and it's only cool if you pick a car that you really like! Overall it was a really nice experience, I would do it again, but only if I got free tickets from work! Haha! read more

I'm not a huge race fan...but I love to people watch and to eat and the Toyota Speedway has both! It's cheap if you print out the coupons so make sure you check before you go (or have a AAA card). It's really good if you have kids because they love it and get in for freeeeeeee! My favorite thing about it is KING TACO and the cheap beer! Concession stands are rarely cheap but for some reason it's not bad here! The bathrooms aren't nasty either and the people watching is phenomenal! I only come here to drag race my car. With LACR closed (1/4 mile) and Fontucky too far of a drive and only opens a few saturdays a month (1/4 mile) this is the next best thing. No one is here to judge your car, everyone just wants to race and have fun (legally). If they are to judge, well just sock em in the face!!! read more

Love this place, this is one of the best short tracks in the country! You have the 1/2 mile concrete track and the 1/8 mile asphalt track. You can see NASCAR or USAC on any giving Saturday. Great variety of food and drinks. The crowd is usually good also. If you never been here, this is a great place to take your family to!! read more

Christmas lights drive through......we paid for 8:00pm time slot. Line was so long, we got in at 10pm. By this time, kids were tired, mad, hungry, grouchy and their Happy Christmas spirit and excitement were gone. The organizer could've done, should've done better job directing the traffic and they should have come up with better way to have people come into the place according to the time slot they picked and paid for. I bought some tickets for my boyfriend and I from Groupon that came with 2 entrance tickets, 2 meals with drinks and 2 free go kart rides, so you know I had to get this great deal!! Went to the Father's Day night of races on 6-17-17 Had an awesome time here with my family. Parking was very cheap 5.00 cash only. Food prices were good not too expensive 2.00 water 3.00 Dollar churros Shaved ice 3.00. At 545 went down on the track to meet the drivers and I would like to say every single driver and crew member were very welcoming. My kids loved it most drivers had autograph cards and candy for the kids. Once the races started they were all very entertaining specially the figure 8 race. Overall experience 5 out of 5. To update on previous posts, NASCAR oval track racing will resume in April of this year. That being said, this is a first class facility any way you look at it. The NASCAR track is regarded as one of the best short tracks in the country. The Thursday Night drag racing is fun to watch, and for 20 bucks you can even drag your own car. As far as drifting goes, you don't get the a nickname like the "house of drift" without being a great drift track. Whatever type of racing you enjoy, this is one of the best places to watch. read more

I've been coming to Irwindale Speedway since opening night on March 27, 1999. I have also been blessed with driving the cars @ L.A. Racing on this track. People need to get on out there! I'm just as guilty as most ... hadn't been in years ... but went last Saturday night with my hubby and we had a great time! Inexpensive and entertaining! Getting in, parking and leaving were all easy peasy. Good food options at a reasonable price for an event location. Super friendly staff. Was a little upset that they did not do the Lions evenly I entered a line and was moved once to everybody else's two times so it took me twice as long to get to the line so I could not do another pass so going there and doing one pass coming around and waiting an hour and a half to do another one it's not that much fun if it's fair it takes a long time I don't care but the lines were not fair read more

Tonight was my second demolition derby. December and Janruary. Unfortunately I wont be back after this one. The gaps in between events were crazy long and the events were less than exciting. Im disappointed as the last one was much more organized. Iam still waiting in the parking lot to exit 30 minutes after the end of the event. Grid lock. Will not be back. This place would get 5 stars if it wasn't for the salty overpriced King Taco, overrated in my opinion but then again I travel far and wide for a decent bite to eat. Well that just sounded pretentious of me than again you see that my specialty is hole in the walls than it doesn't sound so pretentious of me :) now let's jump to the reason why I came on over here.. I came here with my cousin and his buddy Josie to watch the finale of the Formula Drift series. Spoiler Alert, TJR won the season title while Tanner Foust won the the Irwindale track. After the two day event I would say I still have that hint of burnt rubber and ringing in one ear. I had a tons of fun and would go again to next years Formula Drift, just to even out the ringing in both ears. Can't half ass with the deafness! read more

Every time I come here, its always for drift events. So I really cant say anything about the other events. I know they do drag racing on Thursday nights, but never been to one. But Irwindale speedway has a huge parking lot, epic grand stand, and awesome VIP sky boxes! As a drift event organizer, there's no other place in So Cal that is more ideal for drifting than Irwindale Speedway! It is called the House of Drift by Formula Drift for a reason. I hope to host Drifting events here in the future. read more

Very cool place, my wait time was only 15mins and the line to get in went very fast. The workers were managing the place very well and checking everyone in. My grandkids had an awesome time and I would come next year. Also all those people saying that the wait time is long they must've gotten there 5-10 mins before the actual time that they picked, as long as you get there 30 mins before your wait time shouldn't be long at all. read more

Ok, Our family loves the speedway, I will say that we have had loads of fun here. HOWEVER, Saturday night they oversold the event. This is poor business practice. There were people standing packed at the top, everywhere. It was a safety hazard and should have been shut down. Stop selling tickets when you are at capacity, there is no excuse for this. read more

I love coming to the race track! Grew up around cars my entire life, been coming here since my childhood. Great place to enjoy your evening/night. My favorite part is watching the burnouts! Its pretty entertaining seeing all different types of cars on the track not just race cars but street cars anyone can race as long as you have a drivers license.
