When I went to fire the engine up to come home, nothing. The battery was dead, and the FBO had no start cart for a piston engine. I'm basically dead in the water. None of the mechanics shops are open, and hand propping is never a great option. I was busy calling every business on the field, and it was Above All to the rescue. Joel got stuff together, drove to my plane. He was exceptionally careful, and we talked about what we were going to do before starting. Long story short, the engine was started, and I was on my with minimal delay. I can highly recommend Above All for going above and beyond, and attention to safety.

Friendly & effective.. also, learning here is good due to commercial traffic .. With out being too crazy you can apprentice here with the bigger jets so you are used to it .. Had so much fun hang gliding today. We took off at a little over 3500 feet and were able to climb…read moreto over 4000 feet. We were higher than the airplanes on landing approach to Burbank airport. We flew with some turkey vultures in the area. This is the closest experience to flying like a bird. My instructor has flown over 10000 flights so I was in good hands. The video is of Alice landing after me. She landed on her feet and my instructor landed on the wheels. I will post the go pro footage later. Another great adventure!

Lately I've been doing a lot of daredevil activities and came across hang gliding. I previously did…read moreparagliding at La Jolla it was okay but hang gliding seemed to be more fun and extreme. I arrived at the glider port and then the instructor who was very nice Andy the owner came. We took a 40m drive to the glider port the team set everything up. Watched video on a iPad for quick training it was very simple instructions even kids can learn. We were up 35-40 high went fast, circled around and landed on the ground safe. Willie was my tandem pilot his landing style is very graceful and you land on your feet while Andy the former airplane pilot expert likes to land on wheels it was pretty cool. I'm really excited to get home and watch the gro pro footages of our mountain tandem hang gliding.

He made sure I was aware of every step and explained everything to me in a manner that made sense! There were extensive gear checks and he vocalized each time what he was checking. The jump itself was exhilarating! I didn't experience any roller coaster drop feelings. One thing that I did experience that I wasn't aware would happen, but it makes sense now. If your ears are sensitive to pressure changes- the pressure in your ears might be a tad bit uncomfortable. This may be specific to the 18,000 ft, but better to be prepared! I decided to get the video add on and I'm so glad I did! The facility was comfortable and all the staff was so kind!! I've spent a good deal of time on the phone talking to Betsy who has been so wonderful answering all my questions! Fast forward to today. My experience at Skydive Santa Barbara was unexpectedly impactful on my life. It's all I've talked about since that day. I'll be going back to start the process of getting my license. If you've ever thought to try skydiving, I couldn't recommend this place enough!! Take the jump, you won't regret it!!

We went on a pretty clear day, you could see the ocean and the islands because it was so clear. From the moment we went in to the end of our experience it was great. The people who work here seem very professional and kind. My skydiving instructor who jumped with me was very calm and easy going. He had been doing it a very long time, and I felt very safe with him. The whole experience was so much fun. The initial jump was a crazy blast of air, I kind of lost the chance to breathe for a minute! But then when he pulls the parachute and gliding down, that part was so beautiful and peaceful. I would love to do it again! Highly recommend doing this. Even if you're scared, push yourself! You'll be glad you did.

I was incredibly nervous, but the crew was so encouraging, fun, and professional that they helped me forget all about my fear. They triple-checked all of our equipment and took the time to explain everything, which made me feel completely safe. You can tell they truly care about their customers and take safety seriously. I also saw them handle a patron who wasn't following the safety rules, and they remained patient, respectful, and professional the entire time. I'm so grateful my sister-in-law convinced me to do this because it turned into an unforgettable experience. How often do you have the opportunity to board a small open hangar craft and feel the wind blow by you as you soar over the world beneath you?! Not often at all. Mike was our pilot. He must be one of the friendliest guys I've ever encountered in quite some time. He gave us some nifty leather caps and a mic set so we could talk and hear from each other throughout the flight. You can tell Mike really gets a kick out of the joy others experience through flying with him. What I appreciated the most about this experience was how the plane was constructed. Amazing and fun!…read more Service: Great service overall, from the check in counter to the people driving the boat. A special shout out to Mark and Vinny who took us on the boat out to parasail. They were wonderful, fun, and professional the entire time. It felt both comfortable and exciting at the same time which I thoroughly enjoyed. Experience: This was my 3rd time parasailing and personally, this was the best place. The whole experience took about 1.5 hours so you have ample time to spend time on the water and soak in the sun while other parties are up in the air. It was a very fun experience overall and I will forsure be returning this summer. Parking: There's a Parking lot right by the boat rental which was very convenient. Finding the boat rental place from the parking is very easy too! Overall, 5/5 experience. If you're in the area in the summer or want to do an exciting activity, this is it!
