I absolutely love the homestyle breakfast served here & the coffee. What's even better is that they know how to set the temperature so you can drink it right away rather than waiting an hour for it to cool off. I'm not sure how often the list of flavors change, but you won't be disappointeded the options. The Butter Pecan is my favorite & the Pistachio. During the week I stop for a cooked to order, bacon, egg & cheese on an English Muffin. It comes out wrapped in foil & you can can feel the heat. No powered eggs here! I recently dined in for breakfast & the full plates are even better! The menu items are classics & the amount of options aren't overwhelming. The ladies here are so nice & aren't scared to dish out the affirmations & just chit chat when they can. A few regulars came in after me & everyone was joking around & being joyful. After many mixed reviews I decided to try it for myself. I thoroughly raved the fact there is a drive-thru service for such small business. The food quality and speed of service is unparalleled to anything I've seen around this area; especially when you factor in the price. As a first time customer I wished the drive-thru menu was a bit more organized. It felt unintuitive at first glance. I was really excited to try the coffee. I ordered a regular black with cream but it had a nutty flavor to it l, and felt like a flavored hazel nut. A mistake? I think so... Ok, it happens. No biggie. I drank it anyway, but I don't really enjoy flavored coffee. I do want to go back and try their coffee again. The food - I ordered a bagel with sausage egg and cheese and it was pretty good. The cheese was nice and gooey, sausage was well cooked and the egg was nicely done. The bagel itself is alright; however, I am a tough critic because I grew up with Jersey bagels. I ordered some donuts from them on the phone and it was really easy! Just called, told them what donuts, went through the drive through and done. I went by one Saturday and they were out of donuts by 11 so it's good to call ahead of time. Their donuts are SO much better than Dunkin. Dunkin is overpriced and these were cheaper than Dunkin. They were nice traditional donuts, very very sweet and sugary though! The blueberry one is my favorite, although I think the sugary coating is a bit much. I'll definitely get some more donuts from here again. I got 3 chocolate, 3 blueberry, 2 Boston cream, and 4 assorted. read more

Eesh. Walked in and walked right out. When I asked if they sold bagged coffee I was told, "I can put some in a bag." When I asked if they roasted their own coffee, I got a blank stare. When I asked which coffee they sold and if it was local, I was told, " It's just coffee". There might have been a dozen sad looking doughnuts left on the otherwise bare as bones shelves, counters and booths. There was nothing here for me. A great alternative to the same old chain places. I come in a few times a week for breakfast. Usually the same Bacon egg and cheese on a hard roll with a side of Corned beef hash. Both are always great, and when called in ahead of time my order is ready for me at the drive-through. No this is not your trendy upscale specialty coffee shop, and it does not pretend to be. If I were to come here again which is highly unlikely, I would order via drive thru and not go into the dining room. I overheard the waitress saying the cook was prioritizing the drive thru. We waiting 40 minutes for just okay food. I get that a lot of places are understaffed and I feel for them, but if that's the case then close the dining room and just keep the drive thru open. I went for breakfast. My friend got the 2 pancake breakfast, and was served 1 pancake. We were like "wheres the second pancake?" And the staff said "well, we took 2 pancakes and combined them into 1 large pancake" .... no honey thats not how that works. Also I waited in the drive thru for 10 minutes driving over that bell thing and nobody helped me or said hello over the voicebox so i left. Never again. Weakest cup of coffee I've ever had (and I work in the coffee industry). Ordered a toasted croissant, and it tasted so bland/off. Not like it was old, but just... I can't explain it. They did a great job of toasting it, though! Not very friendly, and coffee is served in styrofoam. Is this the 1980s? Jesus, I haven't seen styrofoam since I was a kid. Love the ice coffee from here the best blueberry cobbler coffee around and very moderately priced considering what people pay these days large iced coffee is under three dollars. Check it out also make a nice egg sandwich with real eggs and fresh cheeses and meats on a flatiron grill which is how it should be in my opinion. read more

If Yelp had zero stars this place would get one. Just all around bad food made with cheap ingredients cooked by hacks , tableservice is piss poor as well. Probably going to be sick in a few hours.I have a good feeling critters and such have a field day when staff leaves... Even their coffe is horrible the food bag gas station has better coffe then this so called coffe house which is sad. They should close this place and sell it to an owner who cares. We visited this eatery a few times to support our neighbors. For the most part, their coffee is good, donuts are decent. Breakfast dishes were disappointing-the pancakes were sour, which was enough to nix this place for future visits. This place could be a gem if managed better as they seem to have a "cozy" following, as witnessed by folks who appear to know one another. A renovation to both the interior and exterior, coupled with a refreshed menu and ingredients may work to revive this place. Im getting my car fixed across the street, Ive got a small backpack w my laptop and my purse, so i walked across the street figuring I'd get coffee and breakfast and do some homework while I wait for my car. I walk in, and even though the owners waiting on another customer, she stops everything to snootily as me, Can I help you? So, I reply, is something wrong? Can I not sit here? She says, idk what your doing with all your stuff. The people are nice who operate this place but their coffee leaves something to be desired. The coffee always tastes a little off. The good is good but the service is always slow. It took over an hour one day to get 2 omelets and 2 coffees. Meanwhile the waitress was sitting down at s booth playing on her cellphone. We came here to try their iced coffee. I'd much rather frequent an independent coffee house than the franchise and corporate empires of the world (you know who they are!). We came here twice. The first time, we went inside. There was one order in front of us, however, the wait was VERY long. The guy working the counter was also working the drive thru and there was an older gentleman behind the counter that was just pacing back and forth between the front of the house and the back of the house. It would have been nice if he jumped in and took some orders. The counter where you order was also very sticky, which made me think the place is dirty. Their donut / pastry display was practically empty, but it was later in the afternoon, so maybe that is to be expected. I had the coconut macaroon iced coffee and my hubby had a caramel iced coffee. Both were pretty good. Not too strong and just the right amount of cream and sugar. The 2nd time we came, we used the drive thru. The menu on the drive thru is an absolute wreck! They really need to update that. The menu is crooked, bent, and looks like it went through a tornado. Is that supposed to be the look for the "island" theme? I'm not sure. It looks too disheveled to be done on purpose. Again, the service at the drive thru was slow. There was only one car in front of us. The sign says - "Fast drive thru" but it was anything but. We weren't in a rush, so we didn't mind. But, if you are stopping here on your way to work or have some place to be, I would opt for something faster. This time I ordered the toasted almond iced coffee and my hubby had the caramel one again. I have to say, I didn't taste any almond. It tasted like a plain iced coffee. Cute little coffee place. I really do like to support local coffee, though I like my coffee much stronger than it is here. They roast their own which is a plus but the coffee is extremely weak. It really had no flavor to it and tasted like hot water with cream. I did ask for very little cream. Perhaps she used too much, but I think it was weak to begin with. The donuts here are amazing, but sell out relativey often. Breakfast is good for the price, and coffee is solid and comes in a lot of flavors. The service js hit or miss, i've had very rude and terse servers and a few who were awesome. I love supporting local businesses, I really do. But it's really hard to when the people running it make it difficult. I've been here 3-4 times, hoping that I'll have a better experience each time. Don't get me wrong, the donuts here are AMAZING! Probably one of the best I've ever had, and this is coming from a huge donut fanatic. But the staff here is very rude, and there are literally never any donuts. I came in to buy a dozen donuts once, and there were literally NO donuts on the shelf. Must I add that I came in only 30 minutes after opening. The lady at the counter is always impatient, unfriendly, and seems like she never wants to be there. We normally love to support local businesses and in regards to Island Coffee Traders we have been there numerous times since we moved into town. If your looking for a good cup of coffee, pastry item and quick service through the drive thru, Island Coffee Traders will not disappoint. However this review will be based on the eat in service and quality of the menu. The service is so so, all three times we waited longer than what I thought was necessary for breakfast food. With two kids, that could mean an eternity. As a comparison, when we go to another breakfast place down the road, they bring the food in a very timely manner. As for the quality, this too has been hit or miss. Our home fries 2 out of 3 times came to our table cold. A cheese omelet came to our table without cheese. And a the last time we went there half of the food we ordered was cold, almost like the they forgot 2 of the plates and kept the other two hostage until they finished preparing the remaining portion of our entire order. Prices are reasonable, I just wish the service was the same. I wish them the best of luck and hope they improve their service so we have another option in town. read more

Nice local coffee joint. Stopped by here for the first time and pleasantly surprised. Coffee is good and cheap. Looks like they have daily local flavors you can choose from if you like. One of the specials today was the mocha cinnamon swirl which had a nice flavor and not too overpowering. Service was really friendly. Decor is so-so but the place is clean and presentable overall. There's a drive-through available as well! I've heard the homemade donuts and bagels put Dunkin Donuts to shame and looking forward to trying them next visit. I started stopping here semi regularly on the way to work. And then I drove away from the drive thru six times in a row with the wrong items and/or some kind of hassle that had to do with communication chaos among the staff. The last had to do with my debit card. They failed to return it, but it was clear no amount of trying to explain what happened (to try to help this from happening to other customers) would have mattered, so I didn't even try. Came here for breakfast on a lazy, rainy weekend. I didn't go for the coffee or pastries, but their 3-egg meat lover's omelette was super tasty and very big. I could tell that this place is a staple amongst the locals, and I could definitely see why: this place has a warm, friendly, and super chill feel to it. Delicious coffee, hot or cold! I take mine black and have been impressed with the flavors I've had so far. Some days I treat myself to an iced coconut macaroon coffee with cream, so delicious. The food is okay, I wouldn't go out of my way to have breakfast here but it's nice to be able to order something with my coffee if I am hungry. The only recommendation I would make is to choose different coffee cups, at least the lids. They are difficult to drink out of with hot coffee, release coffee to easily creating spills and pop off very easily, not fun to deal with when driving! read more
