I was seriously impressed at the quality of the work but when a used it I was seriously surprised I was casting 30yds more in distance. So I decided to have Mark do the new rod . I m impatiently waiting ( it's only been 2days since I talk with Phil ) this rod will be last and most important one in my collection, it going to be my number 1 rod . I knew Mark for many yrs watch and the shop grow I chosen him to do my final rod because of the of craftsmanship I seen over the years . So Mark thank you for being the person I trusted to do my rod and for been a true friend for over 25 yrs . ONLINE ORDER- So i…read moreordered a a rod from this place and it was somehow delivered to the wrong house so i emailed them back and they were glad to send a replacement, cool. After 3 weeks i noticed i still havent received a tracking number from them as the status of the item stayed at "we are preparing your item to ship. I finally email back and the owner reply "I sent a message to the shipping dept." That's all you say? Didnt want to look into it? Shift the blame if there was a shipping department. I dont think he had the intention of ever sending a replacement hoping i'd go away silently so i just disputed it with my credit card company which gave him 3 weeks to reply. The audacity of this owner to send me an email first before replying to my credit card company saying he wont be shipping a replacement anymore just blew my mind( i confirmed my suspicison as i called my credit card company told me they got no response from him yet.Complete lack of professionalism and ethics was the first negative experience since getting into fishing, the community is great but i guess this is why we cant have nice things

Super fun sporting clays spot! Haven't ventured into Skeet…read moreyet (in time!) If you haven't been to a skeet/trap/clays spot before, there are stations set up, with a short walk between each. Each location has a different launch pattern and surrounding woods. Unlike a rifle range, there is no cease-fire, no running for paper targets and no real cleanup (other than just dropping your spent shells into a barrel at each station. You can rent a shotgun at the office and shells are available for purchase, as well. Prices are reasonable, and the gentlemen in the office know what they're talking about.

I'll call it a hidden gem because you can definitely miss it if you're not paying attention but once you find it I don't think you can ever forget the Guardian name and team. Matt and Jamie are running something truly special for firearms enthusiasts of all levels. Every shelf and case is full of anything you can imagine from entry level to Call of Duty level prestige. Jamie and two of her team members (I feel terrible I didn't get their names) spent time listening to what I was looking for and then gave me their insight and helped me narrow down my choices. Jamie even showed me one of my options from her personal collection and explained that they offer demo rentals on their range. In the end I purchased something I couldn't find anywhere else on the island. Matt (Jamie's husband) came over and introduced himself and thanked me for coming in. He explained some of the amenities and offerings at Guardian should I want to take advantage of those. I will absolutely be back to dive further into those. Spark notes: Even as a first time visitor, the team at Guardian treated me as a lifelong customer and friend. When I first walked in nobody knew whether I was a window shopper or serious buyer.
