We had Island ice for my daughter's graduation party last night. The guests loved the shaved ice and variety of flavors. John was very responsive while booking and throughout the lead up to the event. They did a table top set-up for us and it was quick and easy to find a space to accommodate the cooler. I highly recommend this as an option for your next event. Price was reasonable and the "root beer float" with ice cream was incredible. Many guests had seconds.

Size large! Generous portion. Tiger's blood, mango, POG... topped with condensed milk & vanilla ice cream at the bottom

This guy is cool... heh heh! Pun intended ;) I followed him on Instagram for awhile & and was finally able to try the shaved ice. So many flavors to choose from!!! My husband & I loved it so much, we hired him for a backyard baby shower. Friendly, down to earth, showed up on time, and did a great job with updating us on how many servings we had left. We had a decent line of guests & he kept the line moving! Everyone loved their shaved ice!! He served for about 1 hour & parked along the street in front of the driveway. Highly recommend! If we ever have future events, we will definitely contact him again. We're probably gonna head out to where he's parked on the weekends for our fix. He's usually at Paul Moore Park, but check his IG for updates!

Island Ice came to a summer gathering of my parenting group and it was such a great experience! John did a tabletop set up at the park and managed all of the kids' flavour requests with patience! Everyone enjoyed their shaved ices! Working with John was a breeze, he was extremely communicative by email and showed up promptly to set up!

Have used this company twice and both times have had a great experience! John shows up on time, serves generous portions and delicious shave ice, and is easy to work with. Kids and adults both enjoyed, lots of flavor options, and can even opt for an ice cream base and snow cap (highly recommend both! ). Great addition to any party and guests complimented us both times, give your party a boost and use them!

We were having a Hawaiian themed baby shower and thought it would be fun to have a pop-up element for the guests. There are several shave ice vendors out there, but I wanted to make sure we booked an authentic tasting shave ice and not a snow cone type of consistency. Fortunately, Island Ice is parked in front of Coconuts Fish Cafe in Cupertino on Wednesday evenings during the summer so we got to go and check them out before inquiring about catering. The trailer at Coconuts offers a small and large size, optional vanilla ice cream and condensed milk drizzle, and lots of flavors to choose from. I loved how soft the ice is and how they have flavors like POG (Passion/Orange/Guava) which I missed so much from our previous trips to Hawaii. After tasting the shave ice, we decided to book them for our baby shower. Pam was very responsive and we were able to get everything done via email including contract and deposit. You can choose to book the trailer or have it served table top -- no difference in price. On the day of, they showed up on time and had everything set up and broken down per the times indicated on the contract. The shave ice was a huge hit especially given the warmer weather! Our guests were going back for seconds and thirds. I would definitely recommend booking Island Ice for your next event or at least try to catch them while they're still conveniently parked at Coconuts.

What a wonderful treat for a hot evening. Lots of flavors to choose from. Got both add ones (ice cream and snow cap) that added extra flavor! They are located in the parking lot of The Coconut Grill. You can get dinner at the Coconut Grill and have dessert at Island Ice without having to leave the parking lot!

Not only does it get really busy after work hours, many parking spots are reserved for other businesses. It's also usually crowded inside, making snagging a seat a bit hard. It's a popular spot, and I can see why--the menu features many different bingsoo options alongside other desserts, and they're all very beautiful and cute. There's also free WiFi and bathroom access. I will note that they don't seem particularly diligent about cleaning up between customers. You pick your own seats, and when I finally found a table, there was food residue visible on the tabletop. Their prices are a little higher than some other spots in SJ (ranging from ~$13 to $19 pre-tax), and I don't think the quality of the bingsoo is noticeably better to justify the price. I tried a pricier one (the premium strawberry), and found it to be quite good, but not $20 good. Plus, some aspects seem designed more for pictures than for eating. The little cheesecake slice is a bit hard because it's cold and difficult to eat with the shaved ice. That said, their bingsoo does taste good! The fruit tasted fresh and sweet, and the portion was enough for me to share with my partner. I wish the condensed milk was provided on the side instead of already poured on top, but I didn't mind the amount they gave. I may not be back immediately in the future, but I wouldn't mind visiting again. I would probably stick to the lower-priced options myself, though. If you visit, do keep in mind that it's usually really busy--your order probably will take a minute, and whether that's worth it or not is up to you.

Great texture but sadly, there was very little of it. As we dug in, the mound of shaved ice had a huge hollow hole filled with whipped cream and coconut jelly. Served with four chucks of sweet, ripen mango and topped with toasted coconut. We usually struggle to finish one kakigōri but this was gone in several bites so we ordered an another one. * Strawberry (Bowl-$12): https://tinyurl.com/5dwpx4mw Equally refreshing but also had a huge hollow hole. This one was filled with whipped cream and two QQ mochi balls. The fresh strawberries were ripe and the strawberry puree ran quite sweet. Overall, excellent quality Kakigōri but premium baller PA pricing for the portion. The amount of actual shaved ice is a small fraction of what you receive at other dessert shops. Blame it on the tariffs, I guess.

The topped mango were obviously not freshly cut since they had this shiny coating completely surrounding the pieces. Not sure if Honeyberry pre-cuts everything and leaves them in some kind of syrup??
