Overall: A // 5 stars The original teaspoon before it was a chain and they served the fluffiest of snows that tasted so amazing. Since then, it's been exciting to watch their incredible growth outside the Bay Area and keep innovating with consistently new items on their menu that are always aesthetic first; you cannot order a drink that does not look good! It is impressive that their pioneering efforts are usually a hit, and any copycats in the area always fail to live up to the original drink. I do find their prices to be at a high price point these days, but that premium is worth paying for knowing that the quality is always high, whether delivered or ordering in person. Highly recommend. (Mango on Fire: A+) - This is the best variation of the mango smoothie drink that could exist; it's undisputed. The chamoy brings such a flavorful spice that has a saline contrast to the sweet mango, a heat to contrast the icy slush, and a passionate red to beautify the yellow aesthetically. This drink is addictingly palatable, without being overly filling such as HeyTea's Mango Coconut Boom. (Coconut Coffee: B) - I love their expansion into the coffee space at the same time of when I started drinking coffee. I think the blend of coconut and coffee works well being two strong flavors that do not overpower one another. (Lychee on Lychee: B) - Beautifully simple drink consisting of black tea, lychee syrup, and lychee jelly that works well in both hot and cold form. The simplicity of this drink works well, though kind of pricey at Teaspoon's latest price point. Food: +1 Presentation: +1 Price: E Overall: Insta/Beli/Yelp/TikTok: @amei_eats

Solid boba spot and their mochi donuts are decent too. I am a fan of their taro lover drink, and I like the consistency across their locations. Service can be hit or miss but usually the wait isn't bad.

Good location with lots of parking. Lots of outdoor tables to sit with your dog. No lines usually so very quick. The staff here are nice

Happy Five Star Friday! This is one of the first Teaspoon locations I remember in the South Bay. Always consistent on quality and customer service and lots of creative flavors. It's always fun to try drinks from the seasonal menu, many which have become favorites, such as the *Dirty Ube* - coconut infused ube with organic coffee and milk. And of course they offer oat milk, which I always opt for. I do 50% sugar and less ice on this drink, but you can always customize it however you want. If you're looking for something fruity and refreshing, I highly recommend the *Guava Sunset*. It is sublime! The combination of guava, marmalade, and lemon is incredible. Definitely helps during all the heat waves. I get this drink 50% sweet, less ice. Also tasty are the the mango drinks (*Silky Mango* and *Mango Funtime* smoothie. You also can't go wrong with any of the matcha drinks such as the *Matcha Royale* or add strawberry. The *Taro Lovers* drink is also amaaaazing if you adore taro -- it's caffeine free! So a very popular choice later at night. Plenty of parking in the plaza but it can get crowded. Shoutout to Mariel on being helpful and knowledgeable every time! TIP: There's something for everyone. Let your adventurous side out and try everything. DATE TIP: Any of these beautiful tasty drinks is sure to win them over. The real test is if you can choose one that fits them best! Plus get the dairy, sugar, ice level, toppings correct and you're sure to impress.

Teaspoon is great at both milk and fruit teas, and I love how they keep things interesting with unique flavors. The Lychee on Lychee is a must-try if you're as lychee-obsessed as I am. The Strawberry Matcha Royale is so refreshing, with just the right amount of sweetness to keep it light. There's no seating inside, but you'll find a few tables outside the store. The drinks come out fast, so it's easy to swing by for a quick drink. Definitely one of my go-to boba spots in the South Bay!

    Taro Lover with Crystal boba
    Rey C.

I enjoyed the Taro lovers as it had chunks of real taro inside as well as the Crystal boba I paired with it. I've been on a tear lately switching out regular boba to either Crystal or Aiyu Jelly. Boba drink without any topping in general is just so generic- you need a sidekick topping to pair with your drink. Service was friendly and easy to order using touch pad. Come time to pay I tried inserting my debit card because I didn't know where to tap for payment but apparently it was able to read my card by tapping near the car insertion device on the side although there was no label indicating where to exactly tap your card. Some have it directly on the screen but this system did not. Nobody was around so I went outside and sat on one of their tables and enjoyed my drink. I remember passing by this place in the summertime and it can get packed really fast. Today- not so much.

A variety of interesting drink options. I went with the creamy Jasmine, since I wanted something more simple. Tasted good but not better than any other boba shop. The line seems to fluctuate and there was only 1 person working (making drinks and taking orders at the register). When I ordered there was only 1 person in front. By the time my drink was ready there were about 8 people waiting.

Business is in a modern retail space where urban dwellings are above the retail spaces at ground level. Super high ceilings gave it a very airy space with tons of natural light from big windows. Place seemed very lively on a casual Sunday afternoon, seems people know they are there and like going there. Loved seeing that. I just got their basic Matcha Cold Brew ($6/4*) as I wanted to taste the purity of their product. I wanna say that most matcha drinks I've ever enjoyed were usually lattes of some sort where the matcha is mixed with some form of dairy to make it creamy. This was just matcha and water and is totally different than when it is mixed with dairy. IMO matcha is more satisfying and richer when dairy is incorporated into the mix, makes it more of a dessert/treat. This is more like drinking straight tea or black coffee. Good to taste as you can see the true characters of the green tea powder. Very herbacious, slight bitterness with an almost nori (dried seaweed) type of nuance. I enjoyed this but next time I'm gonna get more of a latte, possibly even with pureed fruit on the bottom, strawberry or guava most likely. Also tried a few bites from their Matcha Soft Serve ($6.50/5*) and I found this to be truly special. A nice sized cup enough to share even. Very creamy and not icy or too soft where it melts too fast. Perfect consistency and I usually don't like soft serve ice creams, I prefer real scooped ice cream. But not only was the texture great, but the flavor was a solid matcha flavor that was both smooth yet present. And you can pick a fruit to put on the bottom and a choice of a dusting if preferred which adds more dimension. Think we tried a lychee add where tiny cubes enhanced the bites and think there was a Hojitcha dusting as well to give it more roasty notes. I would get this again and try more different combinations. Place is very cutesy and girly with a Hello Kitty type of vibe. They seem to have another character a cartoon bunny from Asia that seems to be a mascot. I don't know much about that stuff, but for their delicious matcha products, my palate and belly is going to want for a return. And to that I shall oblige and grant.

It sounds like a lot, but it actually works really well together. The White Champaca tea is on the mellow side, the Jasmine whipped cream adds additional floral aroma and extra creaminess, the sago gives texture without overpowering the drink, and the little bits of pecan add a nice surprise crunch. My husband's favorite is the Peach Oolong. I've had my fair share of peach milk teas over the years where they can be too sweet and the peach flavor tastes straight up like chemicals, but this has to be the best peach-flavored tea I've had so far! It has a fruity taste that doesn't overpower the flavor of the tea leaves. When I first visited last year, they had a "Fresh Oat Milk Tea Series", but I'm sad to say that it's not on this location's menu anymore. _______________________________________________________ ---A M B I A N C E -- I'm diggin' the woodsy, warm, Asian-y aesthetic they got going on! Tea and merch are displayed on the walls, and pink is definitely their signature color, so expect to see pops of it here and there in the decor, cups, and to-go bags. This location has a decent amount of chairs and tables, but let me tell you, this place was hella busy back when it was the only Bay Area location. We learned the hard way that the parking lot gets packed. Sometimes you'll get stuck in the super small lot because someone isn't even in a spot -- they just have their car parked with the hazards on while they run in to pick up their drink. Other times, cars are waiting and signaling for a parking spot while other cars are on standby waiting for people to leave after grabbing their drinks. The gas station behind the shop clearly got tired of it too because they put up a bunch of signs saying they'll tow if you park there just to visit Molly Tea. I highly recommend parking down the street near the apartment sidewalks or across the street and taking a little stroll to the store instead. Honestly, it just showed me that no matter how tiny the lot was, people still made the effort to slide through for drank. Fair warning though -- definitely expect to wait and chill. _______________________________________________________ --- S E R V I C E --- I will say, the staff handles the busyness pretty well. Lines are usually at or out the door, and they're receiving online orders simultaneously. There's another boba shop in the Bay that has a similar layout and process as Molly Tea, but that other chain feels like workers on an assembly line with deadpan faces. I feel like the brightness and warmth of Molly Tea is emphasized even more because of the friendly staff and their willingness to help with your order even after it's received.

Ordering is pretty straightforward on their self-service kiosks. On this particular visit, I had their White Champaca Oolong Milk Tea with less ice and 30% sugar. Somehow, they always get it just right in terms of sweetness. The best part is the "three stack straw" which really brings out the taste of the tea. Drinks were being made and served to order minute by minute, and the overall wait time was ~ 15 minutes. While the seating here is comfortable and can be relaxing, make sure to plan ahead, as the sun can be quite the nuisance at the right angles!

I don't finish a whole tea right away and generally start one either in my car or at home. I have to say that my milk tea was disappointing in every way. Though I ordered 50% sweetness as I do for all my milk teas, this was way too sweet. The sago was strangely soft, I've never experienced that before and don't know if that was a problem with the preparation or if it had been around for too long. The drink had very little tea flavor. They do have a sign at their pickup counter telling customers that if a drink is disappointing they will make it right but I was long gone so this wasn't an option for me today. I also had the other drink for my son and hoped that the verdict for his drink would be better. Good news, it was! I tasted it too and yes, they got it right. Also 50% sweetness and it was as we expected. My son graciously suggested that fruit drinks were their specialty and maybe this wasn't a good place to get tea drinks. The ordering at the kiosk was pretty easy and even though there was a steady stream of customers, my drinks were ready in about 10 minutes. The person giving the drinks to customers was pleasant with me for checking with her a few times even though I could have waited patiently for the text message i received when my drinks were ready. So there's good and bad. But a too sweet flavorless drink with mushy topping for the same price as my usual favorite milk tea elsewhere is a non-starter. Seems like this place might be fine for fruit drinks but I won't be back.
