My sister and I went here to get our nails and toes done. We wanted the gel color. The board says gel nail and toes is $55 but don't let that deceive you, it's $30 extra on nails and $30 extra on toes for gel color. We ended up just finishing our toes since we were in the chair with regular polish and going elsewhere for the nails. They did a decent job on toes with the regular polish. read more

Came in last minute to have SNS/OPI and a pedicure and left with this amazing work. Andy completed my SNS/OPI on my nails and I could not be more happier that I chose this salon. He showed me what an SNS/OPI set really should look like. Andy and his wife were extremely nice and they work they did on my hands and feet on such short notice I am so thankful. Very rude. They acted like I was a hassle to even be in there, and then tried to charge me $47 for an acrylic fill in with gel polish.... No freaking way. This is the second time being in this place and the first was also unpleasant.... I gave it another shot being close and convenient.... Never again. Terrible customer service. Not sure if the guy who I had the "pleasure" of doing business with is the owner, but he is rude and unprofessional. I "walked in" and was told they are too busy to wax and that waxing service is only by "walk-in". There were several women waiting to have pedicures done and I would have gladly returned for my service, however, he proceeded to remove his mask and raise his voice about being too busy. This is unacceptable and I made sure he caught my drift in his ignorance and unprofessionalism. I will not be returning, convenient to home or not!! read more

Had an okay experience a long time ago. I went back with a friend and when I told her it was gel polish she seemed annoyed to have to take it off and didn't properly soak it. She immediately grabbed a nail file and started filing it off. She started filing it then soaking the cotton in remover and placing it over my toes. It got to the point where she was burning me. I raised my voice and let her know it hurt and I was in pain. My best friends pedi seemed to be going fine and didn't walk out for that reason. If you cant properly take off gel polish then you shouldn't be working there. Then you charge me $5 to take it off and look at me nasty when I don't tip?!!! Horrible place to go. You shouldn't be in pain while receiving a pedi and come home to find not only one but FOUR of your toes cut up!!! I got in the shower later that night and it burned so when I got out I found the other 3 toes on my left foot cut from the nail file!!! NEVER GOING BACK. read more

I don't know who the staff was for all of these positive reviews but I have never felt more disrespected by a nail salon in my life. My mother and I went to this nail salon at 530 on a Saturday. There were a few people there, more employees than customers. They told us to go to the back to get our pedicures started. They didn't tell us where to sit so we just picked two chairs and stood around for almost five minutes before they even came over to start our water. I knew we should've walked out when it took them ten minutes to even acknowledge us after that. In this time I saw a woman who was there before us sitting in the back. She stood up and walked over to an employee who told her that she forgot that she was back there!!! She only wanted a waxing and they were too busy tidying up their stations to even care. We finally got two ladies to start working on us and I am used to nail salons and how chatty they are with each other but they made it seem like they didn't even care we were there. You would think that they would want us out of there quickly since they close at 7 PM. That was not the case. I thought the same woman was going to do my nails but she started cleaning her station up and left me sitting up front for at least another ten minutes. Finally a man came out and immediately got on his cell phone as he started filing my nails, no soak or nothing. He didn't even say a word to me. Turns out he was on hold with his bank and put his phone on speaker so he could start painting my nails. He did nothing with my cuticles which made me think he was going to work on my hands after. I have seen a different nail place do this once before, though it is irregular. Once he was taken off hold he just stopped doing my nails altogether so he could talk to this woman on the phone in front of me. This took another five to ten minutes as I sat there. Once he was done he made his way slowly back to my nails and kept walking away as I put my hands in the UV light. The other woman who was working on my mother started cleaning up to close as my mother was drying. She started sweeping the floor and swept all around me. I almost said something because she was getting so much dust in the air. It was very inconsiderate. Once the man put the top coat on I asked if he could cut my cuticles down. He said it was too late and tried to argue and tell me I should've said something before. Oh, you mean when you were on your phone and not saying a word to me, or when you walked away ten times to go do who knows what?! He then tried to argue with my mom that there was a difference between a manicure and a manicure with gel and I just stopped listening because I was trying not to yell at him. We said we wanted a mani-pedi. We said we wanted gel on our nails. I come from customer service and I believe in getting tipped what you deserve, which is why we did NOT tip. Don't argue with the customer. Don't ignore them. I will be sure my family and friends are never an INCONVENIENCE to your business again. read more

Dropped in without an appointment & they had openings for a pedicure. It was a last minute date idea with my husband. He's never had a pedicure before & felt comfortable. They have a wide variety of nail colors. We got the spa pedicure & it was soooo relaxing & wonderful. read more

Went to Island Nails on Wednesday, May 4, 2016. An older Asian woman did my nails. A few of my nails were longer than the others, I ask another tech to assist twice to ensure a smooth outcome. To no avail, I paid the 25 and left. I will never return. Customers beware another place with very poor nail service. I soaked my nails off that night. Very displeased. read more

This location had us sit in pedicure chairs for 40 minutes just to tell us "sorry we actually won't be able to do your pedicures, we have appointments." Why would a business have us sit in chairs and pick colors, wait for 40 minutes, just to tell us to leave. Completely unprofessional!! Totally unacceptable. read more

So I read the reviews about Island Nails and decided to go in Saturday a.m. for a gel fill and pedicure. I got there in 10 minutes because I am not far. I tried to be one of the first customers in the door but I got the opening time wrong so I was #4. I got my pedicure 1st and was very satisfied. Then time to get my gel manicure, only to try to ask Andy a question about the service and be told he has customers and she has been waiting 1.5 hours and the girl I was sitting in front of does not do gel. So wait, I'm not a paying customer as well. He's very impolite. I think I will go try another place. My money is green also. read more

I have been coming to this nail salon for a very long time. I have always been very pleased with the kindness, honesty, and impeccable service. That all came to a screeching halt on 9-19-15....I brought my girlfriend in for the first time because I have always loved coming to Island Nails. I have always gotten the Deluxe pedicure so I am very familiar with what is included with the Deluxe. Yesterday I was charged $140 for my friends and my nails /pedicures. Not only did we not receive the Deluxe pedicure which has always included the hot stone massage, paraffin wax for the feet, and hot towels on the legs. My girlfriend and I received the regular Spa Pedicure but were charged for a Deluxe. I have always been pleased with the service here, but yesterday ended my business with Island Nails. I am sick knowing that I am a regular customer who comes in every 3 weeks because I love the service and atmosphere to be taken advantage of and overcharged...Not only was my friend not impressed with the extremely high overcharge, but now they have lost two clients due to dishonesty and scamming. read more

Not so much here, there is so much talking between most of the employees that they don't ask, or give a crap about what you want.
