Stayed at the Residence Inn Corona Riverside a few hundred yards away so brought family in for a quick dinner. Server Stephanie was pleasant, and generally prompt (only once did the refills take longer than it should have). Food was brought out quickly, but given the price, I expected more. The mahi-mahi in the fish tacos was dry and the ground beef in the Kilauea burger was under seasoned and cooked to medium rare instead of medium as requested. Kids meals were standard fare, burgers and chicken strips no better or worse than any other chain restaurant. After dealing with the Friday 5PM traffic on the I-5 driving in from Vegas, Islands was nearby and kept me off the freeway. Will give the Mexican place next door, Luna, a try next time. read more

This is by far the Best Islands out there!!!!!!!!! The second time my wife and I came here the bartender remember our drinks and even what we ordered last time. We used to like to go to Red Robin but after going to this Islands a couple of times we made the switch. The service is far superior than Red Robin and the quality of food is much better too. I remember when their burgers were THICK and you could get them served any way you like, medium, medium rare (the way I like). well, I didn't asked the manger, because of major other issues I will get to, if they were using cheap thin frozen patties. They could only serve medium to well+. Instead of paying for a $10.49 burger and fries that was made wrong with no alterations, I could have gone somewhere else for a better burger. It use to be one of my top places to go for burgers! I hope this is the only location that did this to their burger. I was told this is the way it is now, please tell me I'm/their wrong. Ok, now the problem at this location, besides the patty itself...They have/had this new burger called the Heatwave: roast green chilies, Serrano peppers, pepper jack cheese, lettuce, tomato, raw red onion, and spicy mayo, that's it. This is what I got, the upper half of the Heatwave and the lower half of the Bigwave to become: roasted green chilies, Serrano peppers, pepper jack cheese...ummm err uh, bottom part, piled sliced pickles(about 6-10, seriously!), white raw onion, tomato, lettuce, and smothered bun with yellow mustard, no spicy mayo! I didn't want to make a big fuss at first, so I bit into it. It was disgusting! Actually, all three hamburgers were returned and we waited for another 45 minutes-ish, around hour and a half at 3PM. Now there is so many names for it and so many things to put on it, I am 65 years old, I have never paid 10.00 for a stupid hamburger, that tasted dry, and was not worth it. I got this as a gift card, and when its used up, I will never go back there. I think I could not get past the price. Just had their Kileuea burger and fries. This was the best burger I've had in a long time. They actually hand press their beef with infused fresh pepper and jalapeño. Fresh just simply works. And I think this is the only place around that does fresh cut fries. When a restaurant nails the fries, the rest is usually pretty good. Great job Islands... read more

I had never been Islands before, and decided to give it a try for lunch with my granddaughter. I ordered the soup and salad lunch combo, which consisted of a small house salad and a bowl of chicken tortilla soup. I ate only half of the salad and about one third of the soup. Have to say the chicken tortilla soup was one of the most bland versions I have ever had and the house salad was beyond ordinary. My granddaughter had a burger and fries which she said was okay. With so many options in the area, I don't think I will be returning to Islands. read more

The service here is so awful sometimes, the last 3 times we've been here we've gotten the same server and he doesn't even look at you. He will walk by you 5 times before ever looking your way or checking on your table. This last week he forgot the soup again (which also happened the last time), the tacos were cold and bland and my son's food was literally Ice Cold in the middle. I don't know what the hell is wrong with Islands lately, but someone needs to kick some ass there and get the food and servers on point. Probably won't be going back there for a while. Soothing atmosphere. Food was awesome. My girlfriend had the bluenami burger, she was very pleased. I had the Kilauea burger, it was good but didn't taste the jalapeno. Over all experience was great.
