I love their food especially the croquetas but ordering for pick up is a nightmare. I ordered and when I went to pick up the first thing they do is give you to ticket to sign and if you don't tip them you will be there for a half hour waiting while others come and go! Seriously... what service are they providing if they are not serving me? And worst of all it is expected and you are punished for not having tipped them. On the other hand when I eat in I always sit on the close to the south entrance door which is close to the pick up window and the waitress in that section is wonderful and whom I generously tip. read more

The portion sizes are bigger, the flavor is better, the prices are cheaper, and there's no lines. I think the pictures speak for themselves. The Bistecs are delicious and the sides are full of flavor. My father in law and wife like their vaca Frita and this is the only place that we know of that does vaca Frita with chicken. My mom and I ended up splitting the milanesa and it was delicious. We got the beef one. We got fufu with it . So yummy. I haven't had fufu in a while. I enjoyed it very much. Came to have breakfast with my best friend and my son early Sunday morning. We got sat right away as soon as we walked in. Normally I visit often, but lately service has been really bad.Our waiter (didn't catch his name) was horrible. We ordered the breakfast combo that comes with cafe con leche and toast. I wish he would've tell us, we can either choose the fries or the house potatoes with our meal. Our breakfast came with the house potatoes, which was overcooked (we wanted the fries). Our waiter never came to check how our food was, nor if we needed anything else. I even had to get up to ask the lady behind the counter to give me some crackers. After we were done eating, we waited about 20 minutes for the receipt. We even asked the manager, if she could give us help find the waiter or print it out for us to pay , and she simply said no because they were "busy". It's the type of place when you're not exactly sure what you want to eat, you come here because they have so many items on the menu to pick from. When I am in Miami I always go for my usual of a croqueta preparada," no matter what restaurant I go to. Islas Canarias presented me with a wonderful sandwich with crispy bread and all the fillings. Also their plantain chips (mariquitas) were so good with their dipping mojo sauce.
