YOU MUST TAKE YOU TIRES HERE, FOR REPAIR...... Today was the second time I've had a tire puncture repaired here. Both times, my wife tried to take the tire to other tire places in La Mirada (Big O Tires and American Tire Depot), and they told her the puncture wasn't repairable, so they could try to sell her new tires. This place fixed my tire twice for under $20. I understand those other places are concerned about liability, but the previous puncture I had was a lot closer to the edge than this one, and it's been almost a year since I had it repaired with no problems. A few weeks back I had a nail in my tire. I took my car here on my husbands advice and the gentleman there stopped what he was doing immediately, and stated to inspect my car. Once he found the nail he pulled it out and checked for any air leakage. Once it was all cleared he wouldn't charge me since it was less than 10 mins from start to finish. I was recommended to come here by a coworker. I have one tire which I thought had a hole in the sidewall (as told by pep boys) and one tire with wires sticking out. I told the mechanic about the hole in the sidewall and that I would just purchase another tire to replace the one with the wires sticking out another day. On his own choice he decided to check the flat tire and found out that there was no hole in the sidewall but a nail in the bottom! He offered to fix it and sell me a used tire for $40... Small shop, gets busy, and they are first come first serve so try and time it right. Patched a tire for me and ordered sensors. Patch was 12$ which is average. Came back following day for sensors. I work in La Mirada and on my way to work i got a flat on the freeway, so i put on the spare and went to work. at work I searched for tire shops nearby and found this spot. I called and they had the right size tire. I went in got the tire changed and also chaged the other rear tire as well. Price was very good $90 for two used tires with balancing. when I left the shop I got to work and I saw that one of the tires was flat and inittialy i was upset but as soon as I called them they had someone come to my work within 15 minutes and thats why they are getting this good review because of amazing service and they stand behind their product. I dont know many places where you would get a used tire and they would come back to your work and fix it if there was a problem most places would not even bother as soon as you leave they are done with you. I wish I could give this place NO STARS! I've never made a bigger MISTAKE than choosing this place to lay hands on my car. I originally chose this place because it was close to where I bought my new tires and the reviews were good. What should have been a 10 minute process of putting 4 new tires, took well over an hour because their tire tech Jose Enrique failed to properly install the lug nuts and broke three of the bolts. Their tire master Ricardo Naranjo admitted to me that it was Jose's fault and that he was going to talk to the boss Octavio to see what they were going to do. Octavio came out to see what happened they started talking in Spanish thinking I didn't understand although I did. Octavio then said he needed an hour to fix the three bolts because obviously it's a safety hazard to drive with two bolts holding my tire so at this point I assumed he took responsibility For his workers carelessness and was going to fix it free of charge...WRONG! When it was all said and done he tried to charge me $68 for install of new tires and $84 for repair of lug nuts and having to hire someone else to fix it because HIS employee broke and admitted fault for...when I said I wasn't paying for THEIR MISTAKE he said all he could do was take off $20...I ended up paying $100 because in his words he has to get paid for something or he's losing money. Having a business of my own I know a good owner takes care of their customers especially when your employees are at fault. Needless to say I WILL NEVER BE GIVING ISLAS TIRES BUSINESS AGAIN AND I WILL BE SURE TO LET EVERYONE KNOW HOW UNPROFESSIONAL THIS PLACE IS! read more
