I've always loved sandwiches with more filling than bread, so to me, tigelle bread is perfect. They're round, warm, crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. They're the perfect base for all the delicious Italian-inspired fillings this place has to offer. Their menu features about 20 different pairings, including both savory and sweet options. I went for the deliziosa tigelle which comes with prosciutto di parma, burrata, pesto cream, arugula, and tomato. It was absolutely amazing! I can't wait to go back and try more flavors. The other great thing about this place is that all tigelles are around $7 so you can get multiple ones and try different flavors! Even though they're inexpensive, the quality of the ingredients is top-notch. Everything on my tigelle was fresh and flavorful. The service is also very great. The sandwiches are made at the moment and they come out super fast. The inside of the restaurant is clean and modern, and they have some tables with shade outside. Clean...crisp....fresh.... These were the immediate first impressions on walking in the door to this hidden gem. I was greeted by a friendly young lady who talked me through the menu. I was in a hurry so I opted for the single sandwich. I watched as the chef pulled out some dough, flattened it and placed it on a press. Within a few minutes he pulled it off, sliced it open and stuffed it with freshly sliced prosciutto, mozzarella and basil leaves. Yes! Thank you universe for dropping this amazing and unique sandwich shop in my backyard. The owners are super nice and the food is great. We had three of the sandwiches split between two of us. I think 2 per person is probably the way to go unless you're a light eater. They bake the bread fresh. It's very thin and crispy. The meat and cheese were excellent, and you can get real truffle spread on some of the sandwiches. The owners said these are traditional sandwiches that you find all over northern Italy. That's important to know because after parking in the parking lot, you need to walk over to the back side of the building to get to the entrance. This quick service restaurant specializes in Tigelle bread sandwiches, also known as crescentines. They are like crispy English muffins, filled with Italian meats, cheeses and spreads. The breads are baked as you order and take about 4 minutes to cook so it does take about 5-7 minutes to get your sandwiches. Each sandwich is about $7.50 and I would say a 'meal' is 2-3 sandwiches depending on your appetite. For me, it was 2 but for my husband it was 3. Each sandwich is slightly different so it's a bit difficult to choose what to get. We tried the Deliziosa, Tradizionale, Rustico and Armonia. They were all very good and did taste different. The owners/servers were extremely nice and answered any questions we had. The only drinks right now are bottled drinks. It's not been open long, but my wife and I have been here three times already and have no intention of slowing down. The sandwiches are delicious! Each one is designed to bring out the flavors of the main ingredient in ways no other sandwich shop does. The space is small, but adorable and overlooks the lake (it IS facing the lake on the backside of the building, so keep that in mind when you've parked!), and great owners. It takes 5-10 minutes for your sandwich to be made, so be prepared, but the tigelle is baked fresh to order and the sandwiches are carefully hand-made. Would suggest 2-3 for a meal.
