    Condition of the storage unit I rented at eye storage when I arrived, including a drug paraphernalia

    The storage unit I rented was filthy, moldy, stinky in the hallway. There were several broken locks on the floor. I felt totally insecure and just disgusting.

    Troy was amazing. He was very helpful and considerate of our situation and went above and beyond to provide helpful and friendly service. We give him 10 stars out of 5!!!!!!

    My boyfriend and I rented a unit from here and about a week and a half into renting it we had came by to drop off some items and it was around 5:30 p.m. and we noticed the gate was wide open and we thought well it was kind of odd but it was still business hours and so we just kind of shrugged it off as if somebody had just left then then following morning early early morning I would say it was about 5:15 a.m. we had pulled up to the storage unit a little early we knew we couldn't get in until 6:00 a.m. but when we pulled up just to wait outside we noticed that the storage unit was wide open and let me remind you this is the middle of the night basically turning into morning and without well this is very very strange and so my boyfriend had made a complaint with the front office he had called the site and told him look your Gates were wide open when we showed up and so we went in to make sure our stuff was still there and they called him back hours later and informed us that it was the maintenance man so we just kind of let it Go then it was Christmas Day the next day and we decided to drop off one last load on Christmas before we went to our Christmas dinner and we stopped by there and we see the gate is wide open again and we start looking around there's two or three storage units with doors wide open and stuff sitting out but empty like empty boxes out in open but nothing out of the extraordinary I didn't really put too much thought except for I hope our stuff's okay so we get down to our storage at the end of aisle and our storage is okay however we noticed that there is three or four locks on the ground and the storage is wide open and so we pick up a couple pieces of the trash that was on the ground put it in our car and just left the other things alone and knowing it was Christmas there wasn't too much we could do besides leave a message so the following day after Christmas we show back up to make sure everything's still okay and we can't get into the gate it's now closed and it says C manager so my boyfriend goes and sees the manager and the manager starts accusing us of being the ones that broke into all these storage units and stealing and that we had to get out of there and we stuck our foot down and said no we've made our complaints we've even brought you guys as attention and you guys are accusing us now and this is b******* you need to rewind your cameras and so the guy apologized after a long lengthy accusation from him and we'd never even really got an apology but then towards the end of our rental we get Bill saying our rent was due 3 days early and I'm like okay so I'll just kind of shrug it off like maybe they're just sending bills out early well then I know I have that day or two extra to go and pay my bill so I go in to go grab a couple things out of the storage unit and again it says locked C manager and now I'm angry because we are not delinquent and now we can't get it into our storage unit again so after getting falsely accused and treated like crap and then also have to worry about our safety of our belongings and we went out of our way to contact them to let them know that the gate was open before and now they have locked us out of our items again but before it was always the gate was always open for some reason something's not right here something with the management that's over here or the worker behind the counter is very very crooked and I feel the management team needs to really look at this and maybe reconsider who they're hiring and they need to give refunds back to the people that they have caused nothing but issues to because this whole process we had a contract a contract that said that we were able to use that storage facility and it has been nothing but problems and unable to use it part of the time now so on that note do not run from these guys they suck their thieves from what I see from people that have pulled in another the same area that we pull in out of there's very few people to go in and out of there and it's been the maintenance man the manager and one other gentleman that's really nice and he works his butt off and you can tell it's not him cuz he's there every day dealing with furniture and I'm telling you the maintenance and different desk is very wrong and they treat people like crap don't trust your stuff here and if you look in the fine print where it says there insurance that you're paying for yeah you're paying for basically nothing and don't put anything expensive in your storage unit because you aren't going to get the value of it. If I was able to give this place a big fat minus not even a zero but a minus I would they're horrible and honestly I think I might just be taking them to court because you are not going to push me around like that and try to rob me like that this is not okay and somebody's got to stand up and I think maybe I will be the one

    Would give zero stars if possible. Security gate is broken, security cameras are spray painted over and there is a instable homeless person living in one of the units who yelled at me when I was trying to unload my car. I cancelled my contract immedialty but only got a partial refund.

San Bruno Storage is an excellent choice. No rot, no mold on any of my paper items. It is important that there is available parking outside at all hours, which makes loading and unloading more convenient. Restroom is available during office hours. Cargo elevator to save yourself some muscle power. Security is important, without disclosing the details lets just say I am happy with the security arrangements. Unlike those big corporate franchises, Lisa is a one person management department, which is the best management. I have been a loyal customer for over 5 years but they no longer value my patronage. They not only raised the monthly rent multiple times (which is expected for inflation) but they also discontinued a discount that I had on my unit since they knew I would be a long-term renter. When I tried to negotiate a compromise, all I received back was pretty much a "Don't like it? Then get out." I hate businesses that don't keep their word. Very disappointed how they've become just like any other public storage location. =(

    I rented a 9x14 unit here for 4 months and had a mostly positive experience with the facility…read moreitself. The location is convenient, access is easy during open hours, and I always felt safe with the security measures in place. However, there were two notable issues: 1. Lighting: The area where my unit was located had very poor lighting. Despite having a spacious unit, I had to use my phone flashlight every single time I accessed my storage, which was inconvenient and frankly a safety concern. I think installing a single motion-activated lightbulb in the storage room would make a huge difference for customers. 2. Customer Service: This was the most frustrating part of my experience, as I was consistently met with vague answers, impatience, and rudeness. When I specifically asked what happens if I go over my checkout date, instead of explaining the late fee policy, Charles told me "just come back when you're fully done, everyone checks out late anyway" -- no mention of fees. Days later, he suddenly told me there would be a late fee "on the 11th day." I was already a few days over at that point, forcing a last-minute scramble to avoid additional charges. At checkout, when I asked how many days I owed (the bill was hundreds of dollars), he dismissively said "I don't know" with a rude tone. When I requested an email receipt, he refused although the email option was clearly visible on the screen. This was hands-down the most unprofessional customer service I've experienced at any storage facility. Storage and moving out were already very stressful, and customer service should make it easier, not harder. I hope management takes this feedback seriously and emphasizes professionalism, patience, and respect when dealing with customers.

On move in day, we realized that the unit I had signed for wasn't large enough for my belongings. Charles swapped me to a larger unit on the spot. He also recommended a moving company that SPS partners with so that I could receive a discounted rate on my move. The units are clean and cool temperature wise, and the building is secure. My belongings were in perfect condition when I retrieved them a year later.
