I have used Security Public Storage for my business for the last few years. In the changing market I have decided to close this business. As I slowly reduced my storage units I was able to pass on credit from any full month's worth to other units as I downsized. In the end I was entitled and promised almost $400 in refund to be paid in approximately six weeks. It has now been almost 5 months and multiple phone calls requesting my refund. Every time I am strung along, "It should be coming soon" is the usual reply. Now I am told that the company is reviewing their refund process. Still no money! Don't bother with this company!!!! read more

We needed to move and were lucky that we discovered this place. The location is convienent because it is easy to get to yet feels a bit remote for more security. The property managers live on-site, which is rare for a storage place. The management is very friendly and helpful. The units are spacious and clean. There is an unloading/loading dock and dollies for added convenience. I highly recommend this place! read more

My brother and I are currently in the process of moving our storage out after 6 years at this location (my bro lives across the street from a different security public storage in SF now, so staying here makes no sense really, even if it is more expensive by his place downtown). I was bummed Chris wasn't in when I came in to inform the office of our imminent vacate status, as that dude always cracks me up, but not as bummed as when I heard another customer talking about the negative reviews on yelp for this place. WTF? I had to check it out, and low and behold- negative reviews. Given how sweet the couple here are and how much Chris had bent over backwards for me (the dude brought me calendars from another location when they ran out and I was sad about it. Who does that???), I felt obligated to post a review in their defense. As mentioned, I've had a unit with my brother for 6 years here. We have been on the first floor the entire time and have had no issues. No wetness, no mold, no mice, no bugs. It's a all good in this neighborhood. It's a pretty immaculate storage place. A far as rent increases go, duh. It's San Francisco. Rent for everything goes up. As far as my unit, I get an increase about once a year, maybe a little more. It's a few bucks every time. After reading these reviews I was curious about how much I was actually increased over 6 years. I didn't ask for my initial price, but I completed my unit to their current pricing and holy rusty bologna Batman, our unit is WAY cheaper than current rates. Which is weird. People should be increased to current rates of they are going to go online and complain anyways... not that I'm complaining. The lower rates have saved us nearly 4 figures. So that's my soap box rant. I feel foolish for being upset at reviews about my brother's storage place,but these people are so nice and the service is so great and these reviews are just so stupid! They should go store stuff at public storage in Bakersfield where my husband and I live. Then they'll know how horrible storage can be (I don't do negative reviews... but those guys suck!!!) and how great the kids at security public storage are. End rant! read more

This storage place is top notch! The location is super awesome since it backs up to the mountain. It's much safer compared to other storage locations since it only has 180 degrees of accessible area. The storage is not open 24 hours since during it's accessible time, it's always monitored. The staff is super helpful, friendly, and informative (especially Trevor). I never know that having a storage could be an enjoyable experience, until I found this place. read more

I had no idea that there was a storage facility closer to my home. Prior to this facility, I had been renting a space in Daly City. I was totally ecstatic upon meeting with Trevor & his wife Elizabeth two months ago. They will answer all your questions & take care of any problems you have right away. This facility should get a 10 star rating. I now only have a 5 minute drive to this facility. It's clean, and there's even a donation drop-off box to donate clothing or shoes. Extremely happy about this because I was driving to Serramonte, SSF, or San Bruno to drop off my items to thrift shop locations. If you're looking for a great storage facility - this is the place! My studio apartment is starting to look way better with items removed & placed in my storage locker. This facility gets my two thumbs up!!! read more

CUSTOMER SERVICE The Daly City location was clean and had plenty of parking to load the unit. (Side note: epic view for a storage facility.) There's a donation area for eligible items that ended up being useful for unwanted items / stuff that won't fit. Trevor and Liz the onsite managers were amazing and so helpful with their suggestions! My 5 x 10 storage space was too small and couldn't fit my favorite one piece acrylic desk. My movers tried to tetris it into both the storage unit and my car for about an hour to no avail. I was on the verge of renting another unit when Liz somehow managed to fit it into my car in about 15 minutes. As I was on my way out, Trevor also caught that I was eligible for a discount promotion, reducing my overall monthly charge. I was beyond stressed at the time, but nearly a monthly later I'm still so thankful for how helpful they were. STORAGE SIZE Just a tip for other folks going through moves: two professional moving companies and the SF and Daly City Public Storage locations had advised a 1 bedroom apartment would fit in a 5 x 10, even after I had detailed I had a larger than average SF apartment and as a result some oversized furniture. I wish I had gone with the 8 x 10, but it was unavailable. I fully believe the professional movers used the available space with full efficiency and yet still couldn't fit a desk, coffee table, and bike. BOOKING The SF location had advised they'd call me when one of their units was available. I responded not 2 hours later and was advised that it was rented. Just a warning that storage space is competitive in a pandemic. Otherwise, the SF location folks were plenty helpful too. read more
