Here is my old impression of revolving sushi stores. Price is OK, the portion is decent, but the quality and the freshness are below average. There are always a few plates with dried salmon and tuna sashimi pieces rotating around, waiting for the next sucker to pick them up. And this impression was changed at iSushi. I have to admit that they got some nice quality sashimi in good cuts. Visited the place at week day lunch time. Lots of people at the place but not very crowded so we found a seat right away. A glance at the revolving track and I can see some good quality sashimi and sushi pieces rotating around, as well as some pastries. The first thing I tried was a mixed raw salmon, tuna and white fish chunks in Hawaii ahi poke style. The fish chunks are marinated in mild sauce then assembled on top of green salads. The dish was just OK for me. The sauce was too mild and the tuna piece were falling apart, probably marinated too long. And the dish portion is a little too big IMHO. I'd rather this dish to be a smaller plate with lower price, so I can enjoy more dishes. The salmon sashimi was pretty decent, fresh and large portioned. A big plus. Another good choice? Baked mussels with cheese on top. Ahi tuna was really good. The red tuna was still glazing with moisten, which definitely increased my appetite. The sauce is a little unnecessary though. As we were eating, the chef began to make new sashimi from some snappers and octopus. Fresh sashimi just made by the chef? We must have them. They turned out to be the highlight of our lunch. It was so tender and juicy that each bite you could taste the sweet flavor of ocean. These are definitely the best sashimi I've ever tasted in any revolving sushi place. Bill time. For three of us, we spent around $54 plus tips. It's a little in the high end...mainly because my mom took a few plate that looks pretty but not my most favorite dish. My conveyor belt sushi expectations are never high. With that in mind, I can say that I've been happy with the sushi that I have found at iSushi. I normally don't stray from sashimi and nigiri, so it's hard to talk about the rolls and other items. What do I think of what I've had? I haven't been amazed, but I've been happy with the quality of food I've seen here, and they have been able to satisfy my sushi cravings. The one downside is the cost. I'm pretty sure I've ended up spending 1.5-2x as much as I hoped to spend each time. Part of that is getting enticed by the food in front of my eyes, and part of that is not being able to clearly see the per-plate cost from my seat. Not one of my favorite sushi spots, but... it does the job when I'm in the area (and craving sushi). read more

If I could rate this place zero I would First off the staff gave horrible manners. After ordering by phone I specifically told them NO SPICY MAYO. I confirmed several times over the phone After arriving there to pick up my order the guy told me I could not verify my order because he doubled checked. He refused to let me open the bag to verify. I agree with Michelle L....why only 3 stars? I normally steer away from conveyor belts unless I need a quick fix! This is the ULTIMATE quick fix! In my opinion the best conveyor belt anywhere. The fish is nice quality and they put together some really great combinations. Some of my favorite spicy tuna around! The place is clean and the staff is friendly! Good choice of music always playing and if you feel like you need some sports, they have a tv with a game on, (don't worry, not distracting if you aren't into it! The prices are very very reasonable and the quality is above average! Lets be honest, this is no Sukiyabashi Jiro, but thats not why I come here and I am not dropping a grand eating here! We stopped by on a weeknight, and we were seated right away. The place was filled with locals, which is nice. Although it might not seem that big from the outside, the space is pretty long, so there is plenty of seating. For conveyor belt sushi, there is a decent selection of sushi and rolls. You can order off of the menu as well: we got an order of tempura (a little soggy) and a plain udon (ok), but the sushi and rolls were pretty good. My favorite was the ama ebi shrimp with the fried heads, decently prices at 5.50 for the order. Overall, iSushi is a little on the pricy side for conveyor belt sushi, but is a decent choice if I don't want to head to Bellevue or Seattle for sushi. read more

We went on a Saturday afternoon and the restaurant was about 3/4 of the way full. We sat at the trolley bar and immediately asked what we wanted to drink... so first impression was wait staff was very prompt! I know I read in others peoples reviews, how the service was horrible, but that was not at all what we experienced! My fiance & I are not sushi experts by any stretch, but I can tell you the california rolls were great! Also, they had fresh fruit and desserts that you can choose as well. We were a little confused on which sushi was which, so the waiter actually took a few minutes and explained what each sushi was. He recommended the Vegas roll, which was not on the trolley. We ordered one and it was FANTASTIC!!!!!!!! We had about 5 plates each of sushi and the bill came to roughly $20. We did grab the calamari and it ended up being cold, so we didn't finish it. The waiter said "oh, if you didn't like it, we will take it off your bill, you don't need to pay for it". I would hope we didn't have to pay for something we didn't eat. I thought the service was great and the sushi was OK for the price! The Vegas rolls are worth going back for! Only suggestion would be if they had some tempura shrimp or vegtables!!!! Food is ok, but service is terrible terrible. We pretty much served ourselves for everything (Getting our own chopsticks and napkins, etc). Some of our order was missed, too. Took like 10min for us to get the water after we sat down. We later asked for hot water (because the beef udon was wayyy too salty). We saw the waitress put a cup of water into microwave, and let it sat there for 5min after it was done heating (she prob totally forgot about it). I usually don't leave reviews but when something like this happens you can't be silent. Been to this restaurant several times. But today, 02/15/23, something unbelievable happened. I arrived at the restaurant 30 minutes before closing. There was no one except for two employees and the owner of the establishment (that's how he introduced himself to me). I began to clarify with the workers which rolls are spicy and which are not, since I am allergic to spicy food, it makes me feel bad if there is even a little bit of spicy food. The owner of the restaurant immediately came up and advised me not spicy rolls. I explained to him as well that I can't eat spicy and he confirmed that the rolls are not spicy. But three of the six plates turned out to be with rolls on which they put hot sauce on top. I immediately reported to the owner of the restaurant about. I said its just FYI. I didn't ask for any discount. But he began to behave inappropriately, began to get nervous, raised his voice and told me that you don't have to pay for these plates, only for drinks. All this happened with two workers who are witnesses. While he was preparing the payment terminal for my credit card, he spoke very rudely to me, tried to prove to me that the rolls were not spicy, but only the sauce on top. But you can't eat rolls without getting the sauce in your mouth. He did not react to my arguments and only started shouting at me more and more until he completely lost his temper, began to scream at me, called me a motherf***er and also in other swear words and started shouting for me to leave the restaurant. He did not take money from me, but humiliated me and called me names in front of witnesses. All in all, I would not recommend this place to anyone. Bypass him. read more

I live in Bellevue, so the natural thing to do is to compare this place to the two conveyor belt sushi places I'm used to, Sushi Yama and Sushi Land. The summary: overall, it doesn't measure up, but if I'm stuck in Issaquah, I might consider giving it another try. My initial impression when I walked in was that the place was pretty big. Seems like it seats more people than Sushiland, so there were no crowds or waits to worry about. The second thing I noticed were the prices... on average, 25 cents to 50 cents more per plate than what I'm used to, and the portions seemed smaller as well. What was worth it: the rolls. That's the only thing I'd come back for. There's more than the average California roll here, and I especially liked the mango roll, with tuna and cilantro on the inside and a slice of mango on the top. I had a tempura roll, and you never know how long stuff like that has been sitting on a conveyor belt, but I was pleased to find it still crunchy. What was not worth it: nigiri. There wasn't much of it on the belt, and I only had salmon and tuna, but the portions were small, and the pieces seemed chewy without much flavor. Even the tamago somehow didn't seem as good as what I was used to. Also, not the best value. I ended up spending about $3 more for lunch than I normally spend for dinner at Sushiland. read more

This is a conveyor belt sushi place. I had previously tried Genki Sushi in Factoria Bellevue a few times and I prefer this restaurant. The sushi is fresher here than some other places I've tried. We went late on a Thursday but it was still pretty crowded which speaks to its popularity with the local crowd. Whatever is not coming down the belt can be quickly prepared by the chef who stands in the center of the oval conveyor belt loop, so you see it being made right there. The plates were typically priced at $1.50, $2, $3, $4, $5 but the quantities vary. I didn't see anything at $1.50 really, most stuff was in the $2-$4 range, mainly rolls. There were usually 2-4 bites on each plate, so if you're into premium sushi the plates can add up really quickly. We had the spicy tuna roll made by the chef and also tried several eel based rolls. Cucumber rolls were very typical. The Godzilla roll was decent but not amazing. We also tried the green tea tiramisu portion for $4. It was soft but tasted a day old and a little too weird for my taste. I would avoid next time. Service was ok, restaurant was emptying out as we walked in so that may have been the reason for ok service. I like that they give wasabi and ginger right there instead of bringing it every time you ask. Really the only conveyor belt sushi places in Issaquah, and i was very disappointed. I did go roughly an hour to close so maybe that's the reason it didn't taste good but i also ordered everything from the server and it was made "fresh". there was very little fish in the rolls and even the nigiri felt like they skimped on the fish. The fish quality was subpar, tasted like it was all previously frozen, thawed, refrozen and thawed to serve. the prices per plate were all $.50 to $1.00 more than other conveyor belt places. We were heading through town to go to the Gorge and this was conveniently on our way. It's a huge conveyor style sushi bar where some of the rolls are covered and some aren't. My first weird thought was when I read a sign every other seat saying "please don't breath on sushi or put a plate back after grabbing it" - while across from us, a woman was poking sushi rolls with her used chopsticks. My sister seemed pretty happy until she got a roll that looked literally like chicken of the sea with white sauce. She put the first piece in her mouth and literally couldn't chew because of how terrible it was. She spit it out into her napkin. When we went to checkout, I told our server the roll was absolutely terrible and not edible - we were charged anyways. And when I mean it was terrible and not edible, I'm not over exaggerating. My sister literally asked me to pull over after pulling out of the parking lot so she could puke. $53 of sushi - I would rather light a $50 bill on fire, than eat at this place ever again. read more

We went again. My impression of the place is now pretty low. Again, pretty pricey for the amount of food received. The rolls were grocery store quality (dare I say even lower? After all, Whole Foods and Metro put out really good rolls). Variety was a lot less then the last time we went. Maybe it was because of the time of day (very early dinner). I don't know. At least they have other items on the menu that you can get from the kitchen. We also ordered a seaweed salad (good), miso, and a bowl of udon. The latter was a joke. Very small bowl. Just broth and noodles. That's it. It was cheap at least. It also took nearly 20 minutes for it to come out (this is not an exaggeration!). The wait staff here are great! Very attentive and kind. Unfortunately the rest of my experience here was subpar. I arrive at 1:30pm on a Saturday for lunch. While this is towards the later end of peak lunch hour, the restaurant was half full. However, there was nearly no sushi on the belt and it was taking over 15 min for people to get their ordered rolls. I normally just take rolls from the belt at this style of restaurant, but after 20 minutes there weren't any rolls added to the belt. Finally when some were added they were sloppily made and difficult to identify. The signs on the belt didn't match what was following (or anything on the belt at all) so it was a guessing game. My dad and I used to come here often when I was little. However, we haven't been in a while. Such a rush of nostalgia and family! They played fun, pop music. We got our usual Cucumber Roll and Shrimp nigiri, which was fabulous on par. The Mango Roll had great flavor with cilantro and tuna. The Seahawks roll, however, was AMAZING. If there was a separate rating for service and food, I would give it a 4 for food and a negative number for service. The entire time we were there, the Spanish speaking sushi cooks insulted my girlfriend. She and I are both fluent in Spanish. They were weighing in on what they thought of her. One of them called her a pig, one called her ugly and the other said she was hot. Sexual harassment, in any language, is unacceptable. I will never step foot in this place again. The sushi is always very fresh at regular meal times--don't go at 3 PM on a Sunday afternoon; it won't be as good. They have gotten creative lately with all sorts of new types of rolls. Many of these look delicious and I would love to try them. Here's the rub: they are almost all FULL of cilantro. I don't like cilantro. I hate cilantro. I don't want cilantro in my sushi.
