We ordered the LA Spicy Philly and it did not disappoint. Genuinely one of the best Philly cheesesteaks I've had, the flavor was phenomenal from start to finish. And the best part? I personally confirmed with the owners over the phone that their cheesesteak is halal, which means the whole family can enjoy it together. That's huge. If you're in Sherman Oaks or anywhere nearby, you need to try this place. Food: 5/5 Location: 5/5 Atmosphere: 4/5 (only because they're super busy right now, which honestly is a good sign!) What a cute Vietnamese restaurant!!!…read more I love the beautiful outdoor seating amongst the greenery and lanterns with the Vietnamese clubbing music. Takes me back to Vietnam for a little bit. They have a simple menu but make everything well. I enjoyed the chicken wings with steamed rice. The wings were so good. A bit crunchy, very juicy, the sauce was sweet and savory. There was a ton of garlic and jalepeno. It was so delicious. And the steamed rice paired beautifully. The texture of the rice was so good. My partner had the chicken pho and shaking beef with garlic noodles. He enjoyed them both. He said the chicken was very tender and juicy. The noodles with the beef was his favorite. We both got pandan mung bean drink and fried bananas of course. The fried banana takes time to make, but worth the wait. It's so crunchy! Can't wait to come back to try the rice cakes next time.

Fish sauce wings are spot on (if you don't go to Westminster lol). Tangy, mini crunch on the outside, and juicy and moist on the inside. Plus, jampacked with garlic (cooked with a good amount of butter). Not quite sure if the jalapeños do (or taste) anything, but sure why not. Shrimp was good, clean (removed residuals), and not overcooked. Lazy to peel the shrimp skin so I usually eat it. Garlic noodles are great. Slightly oily but better than most places. Lastly, got the Hainan chicken. A bit disappointing by the quantity for the price ($14), but the rice tasted good. I'd personally stick with the shrimp or fish sauce wings. The best part of this place are their fried bananas. I like to get the whole piece and eat it at the end with my refreshing calamansi coco drink. Crispy and fun on the inside because the banana is melted along the exterior hard shell. I recommend the whole fried banana instead of the pieces. Overall, a bit pricey but worth the experience.

Located on Plummer and Reseda by Rite Aid. Tried carne…read moreasada tacos...quesotaco (with cheese, onions, and cilantro) and regular (with just onions and cilantro). Handmade tortillas on site. Meat on the grill/char. Salsas on the side with little to go cups (self serve) as well as other condiments like lemons, etc. Staff was friendly. Wore masks and gloves (which I appreciate). The tortillas are great. Meat was good with a char flavor. Not greasy. Could've used a little bit more salt but it was good. I felt the same way about the salsa's and the grilled onions and jalapeños (which you can get on the side if you'd like). Just could've used a little bit more salt. But that's an easy fix I could do myself. We will definitely be back to try some other things. They have an Instagram. Would love to see a menu with descriptions...like what comes in the burritos? Can you get rice and beans on the side? Are they whole beans or refried beans? Is the chicken breast or thigh?

Especially on Tuesdays, the line wraps around the street and takes about an hour for $1 tacos. There's different specials on different days of the week. They are very cheap: - Monday $7 torta - Tuesday $1 tacos - Wednesday $7 burritos - Thursday Birria - Sunday $10 plates I got asada taco, al pastor tacos, cabeza taco, and lengua nachos. The al pastor was super salty and the salsas were thin and watery. I did appreciate the lengua was tender, juicy and not gamey. This place is good for cheap eats with a long wait for ok food.
