Finally swung by Asadas tonight and for a Friday at just about 7pm, they were already busy! Sadly this spot has just as many negatives as it does positives. They have a good set up going on and a clear menu. The cashier is sweet and helps you when you have questions. They also had two types of aguas frescas (drinks) horchata and cucumber. I went ahead and ordered some queso tacos with asada and regular tacos with al pastor, all with everything (onions, cilantro, and guac sauce) as well as horchata. They make tortillas on the spot which is fantastic! One of the cooks throws them onto the grill as people order so sometimes orders may take a minute longer. The meat is constantly grilled as is the al pastor, but they have much of the meat already chopped in containers to put on the tacos. They have a small "salsa" area with two salsas, both of which are spicy, I believe a jalapeno based and a habanero based. The habanero tasted way better but was, obviously so much spicier. I do wish they had other heat levels or even a mild so there's one hit on the rating. They also have sliced turnips but you can't see how clean they are in the dark. I got back home and saw that they weren't washed at all and still super dirty. Another downer. Now for the tacos. The tortillas were good but I don't think they are cooked long enough. They do pile on a lot of meat which is good. The queso tacos are fantastic but it depends on what meat you order. They are so cheesy and gooey, so if you love cheese as much as I do, these are a must. Sadly the asada was so fatty that I ended up barely eating two and tossing the rest of the meat from the tortillas. I pretty much ended up eating mini quesadillas with guac sauce. The al pastor has good flavor but it's so dry and much of it is burnt. Another let down with the meat. And I'm not surprised at that because instead of letting the al pastor rotate on the spit with the fire going, it stands still with the flame burning one side at a time. They also didn't add any pineapple to my tacos. With all these taco stands popping up, I was expecting and hoping this would be worth it. I would rather still just go to Kogi BBQ or head to Tacos El Venado.

3150 N San Fernando Rd, Los Angeles, Ca 90065 in front of Goodwill Outlet - 10am - 8pm - Tuesday - Sunday (Closed Monday's) My Compa showed me some photos on Instagram of some AMAZING looking tacos, the page was from this place called Asadas El Infierno, they have several set-ups from Northridge to NELA, it's in my hood so had to come check them out. Perhaps after seeing the amazing photos I came here with high expectations but I'm going to have to agree with the majority of the Yelp reviews for their "Northridge location" https://www.yelp.com/biz/asadas-el-infierno-los-angeles the tacos are just not very good, from the way it's cooked to how it's chopped and lack of flavor, when the best thing on the plate is the hand-made corn tortillas and salsa you've got a problem. Tacos - https://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/asadas-el-infierno-los-angeles-2?select=IKxDKrcRt30JcJXVik2-bQ&userid=mXl8GMozjLoraG7PyFHWkg Carne Asada ($2.00) https://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/asadas-el-infierno-los-angeles-2?select=jnMiw_4Z09DCyREECtykaA&userid=mXl8GMozjLoraG7PyFHWkg I'm not sure what cut of meat they use but my issues were with the way it was chopped in very large chunks and quite a bit of gristle made it very chewy and hard to eat. Meat is cooked al carbon; flavor was there just bad execution of a lower cut of meat. 2-Stars Al Pastor ($2.00) https://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/asadas-el-infierno-los-angeles-2?select=hh7m4XLAzOlLkZV-AejS9g&userid=mXl8GMozjLoraG7PyFHWkg First off unlike their Instagram photos show they had NO trompo! I got ZERO flavor from any marinade; it was more like a chunky chopped pork chop! And not even chopped well https://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/asadas-el-infierno-los-angeles-2?select=WglsEwO2ZaYoqv_In8THhw&userid=mXl8GMozjLoraG7PyFHWkg that was one piece NOT even chopped all the way through and still connected as one piece. You should be ashamed of attempting to pass this off as al pastor. Epic FAIL Birria de Res/Beef ($3.00) https://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/asadas-el-infierno-los-angeles-2?select=vw--K-vILWlN-Or2QESy9Q&userid=mXl8GMozjLoraG7PyFHWkg Definitely the best of the plate, don't think it's worth the extra $1, but other than most of the meat was larger chunky pieces the flavor was ok, plenty of better Birria spots in the area. 3-Stars Sorry these guys don't live up to their Instagram hype, there are too many better options in NELA

On our way to get boba we saw this place and decided to stop. If you ever see this place don't go there. It's definitely the worse taco place ever. We couldn't eat the food. It was so burnt and nasty

Idk what happened, but whatever they did to turn it around keep it up!!!! I literally come here often now cuz it's that bomb! whoever is cooking now and making the salsas is getting it right!

The owners are rude, confrontational and think they own a spot on a public street. And the food isn't so great either.

The menu is quite simple, but beware that no prices are listed on the main menu, but they are on the paper menus. They accept Apple Pay/credit cards. I ordered the asada burrito and the pollo caramelo and added the grilled poblano (as recommended on Yelp!). The tortillas were the true stars -- soft, nice chew, with a buttery mouth feel (probably lard). The fillings were just ok. The inside reminded me of a Taco Bell 7 layer burrito -- a lot going on but all the flavors kinda blend together. I (incorrectly) thought the beans were refried, but they are not. Whatever is going on inside, I didn't find much structure. The burrito was the best. The caramelo was a lazily folded burrito. I read that it was like a quesadilla, but I couldn't disagree more. I would skip this next time. I spent $25 and it was a lot of food, but I wasn't impressed, especially given the hype and the fact that LA should really be the pinnacle of Mexican food. Not sure if I'll make a second trip here.

I came here for dinner on a week night and my experience here was pretty good. I had the asada and al pastor tacos with all the toppings and they were both so good and full of meat and heat. The toppings can be spicy for some, so be warned. My favorite of the two was the all pastor which was flavorful and I did like the thinly shaved meat. It was not dry at all and was fresh. I also tried the mulita with al pastor meat and that was also soso good. Cheesy, meaty, and indulgent. The additional topping section had good variety with pickled onions, cucumbers, etc. and everything seemed pretty fresh. Unfortunately, they were pretty much out of the roasted pepper and grilled onions at the time I went. To drink, I had the horchata and that was also very delicious. It was huge, sweet, and creamy. I also loved how it was not grainy at all. A good pairing with the rich foods. They also have a good amount of seating at the stand with a long table and multiple chairs. Parking is tricky since its street parking only.

Having been to so many taco stands, I think what makes Tire Shop Taqueria really stand out are the right-off-the-grill charcoal-grilled meats, the freshly made tortillas literally in front of you as you are waiting on line, and the free guacamole that comes with each taco. The ordering process is like any other taco stand, though one difference is here the salsas/guacamole are all handled by the staff. If you'd like more of something, just ask them instead of reaching for the ladle yourself. There is a separate area though for grilled onions/peppers and radishes you can serve yourself. I got the asada, chorizo, cabeza, and al pastor, and they were all so good. The asada and chorizo are specifically grilled over charcoal, and that flavor really shines through. I loved how meaty and tender the cabeza was too, and the classic al pastor hit the spot. They have large communal tables setup, so it is a great friendly vibe to enjoy your meal I will say, the surrounding area is not the best in LA, especially given how the taco stand is only open at night. The parking lot is quite small, so I parked on a side street that had some abandoned cars, but of course, if you are in/from LA, this is not that new for us. I would hesitate if I am a tourist though to make it out here. Anyhow, the food really is worth it here, and I can't wait to be back!

I like that they were open late to satisfy a late night taco craving. Even though there is typically a line they are quite efficient with orders and even have a parking lot/outdoor dining space in addition to their indoor space so it doesn't feel cramped. It was my first visit so I had to get a mix of their tacos and burritos with the various meats they serve. It was a nice fact to know their tortillas have some lard also so it adds a nice flavor as well. + Burrito 2.0 (asada) + Chivichanga (chicken and beef) + Tacos (chorizo, tripe, cabeza, asada) I enjoyed the burrito with asada and thought it was good portion size for the cost. The guac, cheese, and beans pair well with the meat and has a nice grill on the tortilla. The tacos were a solid size as well but I was surprised to find the tripe as my favorite because they fry it and it adds a nice crunch/texture change. The cabeza was a close second with the stewed flavors. The chivichangas were also tasty but not the traditional chimichanga I was anticipating. It's definitely on the softer side as everything mixes together and there's not much of a texture change. Worth trying if you are curious though. I ordered to go so I didn't see if they have a salsa bar but I did have to pay $.10 per to go container which would be nice if they were free. However, I liked mixing their red and green salsa with each bite. I am curious to try their avocado salsa next time. Overall, I thought the portion sizes were good for the prices and I felt full afterwards.
