Takeout "Fettuccine Alfredo" if you could consider this a pasta instead of a soup... ridiculous.

Ordered a tour of Italy, this is how the Alfredo was served.. very souplike.. possibly the worst rendition of a creamy pasta I've ever paid for.

I used Italian Garden for catering. For 25 people I ordered two big pans of salad. The dressing comes on the side. One pan would have worked, and we were eating salad for days! I also ordered two pans of lasagna and two Pans of chicken picatta. What I didn't think of was that I had enough food with these two Entrees for 50 people. Wow! One pan of each would have fed 25 people, portion controlled. The entrees came with two big pans of free garlic knots. It was worth the purchase and I recommend them for catering. JAY took my order and was very helpful planning and loading it up. They were so nice to deal with.

My last review here was 5 yrs ago. That was a five star review and once again the food is five stars! My favorite dish is the seafood medley in a wine sauce (also offered in a red sauce). It's served over Angel hair. As usual, it is BYOB, something that everyone seems to know seeing how many wine bottles are on tables.

First of all it was freezing in there, we got here around 8:30pm. We received 4 rolls (this was probably the best thing they had ). Ordered the calamari which I could tell once it got to the table that it was bland. They had no color or seasoning on them. My lasagna had little to no pasta, I bit into two maybe three bites with pasta. My husband had this pizza and said it was "trash". He had a sweet tea, did not receive a refill because they ran out at 9Pm also ran out of rolls. I heard the waitress tell the table beside us when she brought them (1 roll out to a table of 5 mind you) that the cook said they were out and they weren't going to make more.. they close at 10 Pm. Lastly we got our cheesecake, I could have gotten one from Jack in the box to be honest. The service was ok, she was sweet. The food was just not it.

    Tour of Italy

It was okay, it all tastes a lil store bought. The bring your own bottle and the prices are what would bring me back here, not the food lol. The lasagna was mushy and tasted like sharp cheese....but the Alfredo was good. The sausage + meatball spaghetti was almost good? And the eggplant parm was okay, but the sauce and noodles get a lil watery at the end.

It's really hot in here for starters. Silverware on the floor. My friend Ben has zero friends? Dokes is everywhere all at once. The people at the table next to me admitted she was a coke addict. Anywho my friend, Mimi, ordered kids menu with a very small portion (seen below). IT. DIDN'T. SNOW. Friend has an itchy ear and asked for water without ice. I am apparently the woman of the table. Ben could not be -bread was cold after sitting out too long-friends because he doesn't have Zelle. Waitress, possibly named Mimi, was really nice

Did lunch at Italian Garden and we really enjoyed it. Fresh bread, fresh oil and herb for dipping in bread. Large portion sizes. I got the trio cannonouli with pink sauce. Loved the manicotti portion. My husband got the sausage alfredo. Both were delicious. Christian was a great waiter. Cozy atmosphere that worked for lunch. Will go again.

Italian Garden is still the best place for Italian food in San be Marcos! We truly enjoyed our meal. Our server Kevin, made it more than a meal and turned it into an experience! Kudos to the chef for perfectly understanding our special requests. The Chicken Portofino and the Chicken Parmigiana were served with excellence. We loved the ambient music reminiscent of the 40's and 50's. I actually felt as if we were in an Italian restaurant in New York City years ago. There is outside seating for those that like that type of experience. Enjoy a quiet romantic dinner in San Marcos.

This place is so mid. Calamari is god awful. Service isn't good either which sucks because this is the only Italian food near downtown

The kitchen consistently turns out high‑quality dishes made with fresh ingredients, and you can taste the care in every bite. The chef has clearly built a knowledgeable, confident staff who deliver a smooth, top‑tier dining experience from start to finish. I've eaten here many times, and nothing anywhere has matched their "Par 3" plate -- chicken salad, tuna salad, and egg salad served on crisp lettuce. Simple, fresh, and absolutely unmatched. The staff is always pleasant, attentive, and genuinely enthusiastic about the menu. They're not afraid to tell you what they personally enjoy, which makes the whole experience feel warm and authentic. San Marcos is incredibly fortunate to have Tarbox & Brown. In the two years I've been a regular, they've only continued to raise the bar -- and that says everything.

One of my favorite things is that they offer pizza by the slice, depending on what they're serving that day -- and from what I understand, they always have pepperoni slices available, which is a plus. When you walk in, you can actually see them making the pizza from scratch, including hand-stretching the dough and tossing it in the air. It's a fun and unique touch that adds to the experience. They have a good amount of seating both inside and outside. Since this is Texas, outdoor seating can be a bit of a gamble weather-wise, but it's nice to have the option. Parking can be a little tricky, but when we went on a Sunday night, it wasn't bad at all. The service was great -- everyone was friendly, helpful, and very attentive, which made the visit even better. They also have a solid selection of alcohol and seasonal drinks, which pairs well with the pizza. For the kids, we grabbed a cookie, and it was very delicious -- definitely recommend it as a sweet treat after your meal. Overall, if you're in the area and want to try a place that's a bit out of the ordinary, I'd definitely recommend stopping by Pie Society and giving it a try.

Olive Garden opened its doors for the very first time starting a truly revolutionary movement into the American Italian cuisine scene. Every day, my mouth throbs for a juicy Olive Garden breadstick, thinking about how salty buttery and Herby it tastes. My review on this particular location does not reflect my review for Olive Garden as a whole, but just this location. As a consumer of many breadsticks and a frequent flyer at Olive Garden the consistency across the days and quality of service, food and cleanliness is very noticeable from shift to shift. I like to call it the "A-Team" or the "B team". The A-Team is always on top of it constantly refilling my drinks, constantly refilling my breadsticks, constantly refilling my bottomless chicken and gnocchi soup. When my crispy chicken Alfredo with broccoli comes out, it is juicy, crispy, thick and full of luscious flavor. The cleanliness of the overall store is at a high standard and the bathrooms feel clean to use after my food settles in, and I have to make an emergency pitstop on the loo it's nice to have a clean space to do so. However. When the B team is on we wait at the door for more than 15 minutes this is exceptionally frustrating when there are no people in Olive Garden and it's the middle of the day on a very slow traffic time. The service is very slow. On another note (my taste buds are wet thinking of the breadsticks) when the B team is around, we have to ask for breadsticks and they don't come for a decent amount of time. The refills are not speedy sometimes I'm sitting there for five minutes without my beverage being refilled all of these items that are stated to be a bottomless, endless, a pit, and vast group of soups, breads, salad, pastas drinks, service, I feel as if I am being neglected, like a stray dog. My thirst increases my hunger growls at the longing thought of more bread. All in all, I recommend this location specifically, just ensure that you are in this establishment while the A-Team is working. I want to give a big shout out to everybody on the A-Team hashtag stay blessed. As always, I want to thank you immensely for taking time out of your day to read my review. I hope it was helpful. Don't forget to leave a like and comment. Have a wonderful evening.

Didn't have patience for Crafthouse's service pace or downtown parking. Chef here's been flexible and fun, and I knew there was a spacious lot and likely a quiet atmosphere. When I arrived, the bar seating was nearly full plus a table of perhaps five. Country music played, I took a booth in the back. My favorite steak is gone from their re-done menu, and it was too busy for Chef to pop out and chat, if he still works here. They were out of real eggs, so I got a cheeseburger and a side of broccoli. When the waitress asked if I wanted bacon since I couldn't have the egg, I said sure. My Lynchburg lemonade was heavy on the lemon but good with the liquor, and that burger was undisputedly enormous. The broccoli was in good condition and generous. A request for soda was forgotten but rectified. Different employee brought the bill, which (1) did not reflect my 10% discount for check-in (I'd showed my waitress; she hit the button on my phone to accept it) and (2) while the menu says add bacon for $.50, I was charged $2.50. It was a big meal and I thought they might be a little shorthanded, so I didn't feel it worth the fuss. Just saying you should check your tab. Cheeseburger (add bacon) with side of broccoli, one Coke and an alcoholic drink for $26 before tip.
