I highly recommend. Although it's small it has a charming atmosphere, the food is incredible and tasty. The staff and servers are wonderful.

I ate there today. I ordered seafood risotto. It was $28 a real waste of money. I asked the waitress before the order. If it was a plentiful dish, she says yeah it was, when the dish came I had three baby scallops and three tiny shrimp with a cup of rice risotto dish that would cost five dollars to make will never eat there again. My first time at IPK and the food was delicious. I had the lasagna and it had plenty of cheese and marinara sauce. The flavor was great and a generous portion. The waitress was friendly and efficient bringing refills for our drinks without being asked. We had the tiramisu for dessert and it was excellent. We will definitely be coming back in the future. read more

The ambiance was nice but the food was horrible. Salty, salty and more salt. Everything from the soup to the entrees - you could only taste salt. And our daughter's lassgne had no ricotta cheese. I have no idea where their chef was trained, but they seriously need help with the quality of the food. read more

Had dinner here tonight, the food was really horrible, my wife and I both got pasta and is was flavorless. The linguine with chicken and broccoli was frozen broccoli florets and chicken essentially boiled in this flavorless white wine sauce, not even an evident piece of garlic. The shrimp Diavlo was essentially the same shrimp boiled in flavorless spicy red sauce. Shame to spend $100 at dinner for flavorless food. read more

Ok - now I'd passed this place on the way home from work a few times - nestled between train tracks and Irving Park Rd, it looked like a gem in this nicely done up section of Roselle. So, hubby and I gave it a go one recent Saturday evening, and boy- did we EVER get a great welcome and fantastic service. We ordered a pepperoni pizza (and took our server's advice and had the pepperoni on the top of the pie and not in the middle) - we also got a shrimp linguine and bruschetta. The pizza- wow. Easily, easily, easily the best pizza we've had since moving to Schaumburg! The shrimp linguini - while my hub-hub enjoyed it, I was put off by the fishy-smelling/tasting shrimp (to me, that's a sign of not-so-fresh shrimp). The bruchetta- yummy indeed, and gives Lou Malnati's a run for their (bruschetta) money! We ended up with way too much food, so ended up taking heaps of it back home (which we promptly ate for lunch the next day!). Will we return? Lord yes! Stopped in for lunch and I cannot praise IPK enough. Had the bacon bleu burger and my wife had the salmon salad . Both entrees were fantastic . Service was excellent . Lunch came out hot . Good beer and wine selection with martinis on special. Great value for the money . read more

This place was great! I stopped in on a Sunday basically right when they opened with my sister for some early lunch. They have their own parking lot and the place was really easy to find. We got to seat ourselves since we were the first ones in. The staff here is super bubbly, prompt and friendly! We were constantly being checked on and taken care of. The restaurant itself was very clean and new looking, too. The options are endless. They have so many appetizers and pasta dishes! I opted in for their chopped salad, one of the Italian Pizza Kitchen's recommended favorites. It was super filling and the chicken was so crispy and nicely seasoned. We also had mimosas which are $5 on Sundays (a steal!) My sister liked her tortellini but said the tortellini were hard. After I tried one I agreed with her, but we both enjoyed the sauce. I just moved here a couple years ago, but my health has gotten better. (MS) I've now been here three times and plan to return some more. The pizza was fantastic and worth the price. Italian Pizza kitchen was a really nice place to take a quiet lunch together. The ambience was pleasant and happy. The dining room and Bar were very clean. Customer service was very nice although not totally on top of their game. The grilled calamari was definitely previously frozen, you can just taste a teeny bit of fishiness, but it was cooked perfectly. We were happy with it. The chicken on top of the salad, I forgot what the name of the salad was, was perfect. Parking is plentiful. The prices were definitely higher than they should have been for a lunch time menu. read more

I've been going to Italian Pizza Kitchen for almost as long as I've lived in Roselle, which is over 10 years. I even had them stored in my phone. That's how much I loved them. Years ago, the pizza had too much grease (when they were at the old location), and I waited awhile before ordering from them again. Since trying them again, I have really enjoyed their thin crust. They have been a staple for me. We also enjoy their pastas and their calamari. I tried ordering from them today for dinner and it turns out the gift certificate I wanted to use had apparently expired. It isn't a gift certificate from years ago but from this past Christmas. It was from their promotion where if you bought a 100 dollar gift certificate, you would get a 25 dollar gift certificate for free. It's a popular promotion restaurants try especially around the holidays. I tried redeeming my 25 gift certificate and was told it had expired at the end of March 2024. I don't remember the last gift certificate I had where it would expire just 3 months later let alone ever. My sister and I had a great dining experience at Italian Pizza Kitchen (IPK)! Parking is a little tight ie: hard to find a spot, but we saw someone leaving and were able to scoop up their space. A freight train started to come by and blew its whistle right as I opened the car door to go in and it made me jump and then laugh at myself! We were seated right away and they were fairly busy for a Saturday evening. Immediately you could tell there was a great atmosphere and patrons were enjoying themselves. As I walked by a booth I spotted a family eating a pizza and I commented how good it looked and asked the dad if it tasted as good as it looked and with a big smile said Yes! I knew what I was having - Pizza! We ordered some beer on tap and it was so fresh tasting, it hit the spot! They bring complimentary fresh bread and olive oil and it was awesome! We ordered stuffed mushrooms (so good!!) as an appetizer and then we each ordered our own small 10" pizza and customized each with 3 toppings of our choice, so we could have leftovers for another day! The crust was perfect, just the right amount of tomato sauce and lots of cheesey goodness on top of our toppings. The cheese was slightly browned and just the way I like it! Our server, Kelly was awesome! She answered all of our questions and was a pleasure to talk to. We told her we grew up in Roselle and really missed the old Pizza Cottage that used to be down the street and found out that the son from PC owns IPK! Excellent dinner tonight. It was everything I needed after a long week. Wine was refreshing and served promptly. Polenta was crisp with a soft inside. The best was my dinner filets, grilled shrimp with rigatoni in vodka sauce. Everything I was looking for tonight in one plate. Although it was busy the server was attentive. Our first visit to IPK was a memorable one, but not all for the right reasons. The only reason it wasn't a 5 experience for me was our main order for pizza somehow got missed and arrived much later than anticipated. We were on a short timeframe due to another commitment and the manager was really nice and tried to offer free dessert, but we were just out of time. Our server Pat was really nice and apologetic, but we hated to rush through such a delicious meal. To start, for me it's a plus having local Lynfred wines on the menu. The 1/2 price apps on Thursday were really tasty. We ordered the burrata, stuffed mushrooms and a chopped salad. The burrata and salad were great for the vegetarians in our group. We only ordered two pizzas, a margherita pizza and the IPK special (sausage, green pepper, mushroom and onion) but asked to hold the onion. Unfortunately, it came with onions so a little disappointed it wasn't exactly how we ordered it and was late on top of that. But the once the pizza arrived, it was hot and delicious with a lot of cheese. There was no doubt at our table, this was fantastic pizza! About three weeks ago, we ordered delivery. The young lady that answered the phone and took our order was rude and kept rushing me along. I ordered a chicken parm sandwich and noticed that only one side of the chicken was visible. When I opened up the sandwich, one end was cut off! You can clearly see a serrated knife cut across the chicken; and they had the nerve to charge me $16. Never has this happened to me before. So, we thought they had an off night and decided to call for delivery again. The same young lady answered the phone, in the same manner as before and before I knew it, I was sitting on hold. After sitting on hold for over 5 minutes, I hung up. I'm done! Shame too, because the food tasted good, but the customer service (at least for delivery) is just BAD. read more

As a foodie I am confused by some of the negative reviews. If you're concerned about the quality of FOOD and not all the other noise...this place has GREAT FOOD! We moved from Chicago and have visited twice at the bar for food and drinks and not only has it been delicious (apps, sandwiches and pizza) but also the bartender and drinks have been great. It seems this place doesn't like "individual" patrons. After being seated in the bar area....I was completely ignored by TWO bartenders who I understand were also "suppose" to wait on the table in that area. There were only 3 people at the far end of the bar and two near me who had already been served their drinks. I waited and waited, and the hostess even reminded the bar tender that I was there, but I was completely ignored. One bar tender was holding a conversation with the three at the far end, and the other was "shaking" a drink, over and over with her back to me! I know they also make drinks for the rest of the restaurant......BUT! SO I WALKED OUT! A warning to anyone who is an "individual" patron.
