Top notch food! Excellent attentive service! And great parking! Recently, I was here for a family party (about 70 people). The space was comfortable. The staff really hustled. And the food was superb! Party started with a beautiful lean Italian sausage and potatoes in a red gravy. (Some growing boys cleverly made little sausage sandwiches with the excellent bread). This was followed by a Caesar type salad with a subtle vinaigrette. Then a pasta course with excellent toothsome creamy vodka sauce! Whew! But wait, there's more ..... We each got a generous serving of cheesy saucy chicken parm, with potatoes and broccoli! This is the place if you want a fabulous party experience! We will go back to simply dine in sometime. The only issues we've ever encountered was with Manny the manager. We held my birthday dinner there with friends several years ago and I made a reservation in advance. We had 3 extra guests and the manager absolutely flat out said they can't add chairs and sat my party of 3 at a separate table that was NOT near us. I was mortified and embarrassed in front of my friends to say the least! Once again, recently I wanted to book another birthday dinner there. Nobody would accept my reservation, as I was told that I needed to speak with the manager. It took him 3 days to return my call. At that point, he unapologetically said the restaurant is already booked in a cold and dismissive tone as he was rushing to get off the phone. You just don't treat people this way. As a manager, you would think he would be pleasant and a bit more flexible and/or accommodating. I called at one point and asked for the Owner and guess who picked up the phone after I sat on hold?? It has been a few years since I reviewed Rosario's but I am happy to share it remains one of my favorite places to dine. I have been here for their consistently crisp, cheesy and delicious thin crust pizza, to-go. My favorite is sausage and mushroom. However, my favorite way to enjoy Rosario's is dining in the bar area with an Aeperol Spritz, martini, or vodka infused cocktail, and one of Rosario's menu specials. On my last visit I tried the spinach ricotta rotolo. It was fluffy, and filled with flavor, topped with marinara and mozzarella cheese. The food is always fresh and tasty and the gelato here for dessert is my favorite way to end the meal. Service is quick and friendly and prices are what you would expect for this suburban area. I probably dine here every 1 or 2 months because I appreciate the overall experience I have on every visit. read more

I'm giving 2 stars not for the food but the extremely slow service. In fact, I actually thought at one point we were completely forgotten about. Sadly for us, there was a big party in the back room so our service was awful. However that doesn't excuse the fact that we were left waiting. Waiting to order, waiting for our drinks, waiting to pay. I had to track down people twice just to get service and pay our bill. Even after having to leave my table to get service we still waited. The pizza would've been good however our server heard "easy sauce" and not "extra sauce" as we requested so the pizza was just veggies and cheese on crust. Love this family owned restaurant. It's such a beautiful place, with a cute cafe attached that is just so beautiful. Their service is always phenomenal with the owner often sitting at a table by the door, so friendly. You can tell this is a family place, it gives that. All their food from their pizza & chicken vesuvio to their homemade gelato & desserts, everything is really delish! Great for a family dinner or special occasion, it's so nice in this place. Sat at a table for a while and then the bartender (Tabatha) said we didn't get service because we didn't tell anyone we were there. We were seated by a hostess. Continued to sit there for an hour without ever ordering our dinner until we just left. We did both enjoy the buratta appetizer we had in that time but the service was absolutely horrible and she made us feel guilty for sitting in her area even after we offered to move to the main dining area if she was too busy. I know bartenders have to make the drinks for the whioe restaurant but she assured us that it was fine and only had three patrons at the bar. We left without ordering our meal. A Friendly Heads-Up We decided to try Rosario's Pizza in Roselle for lunch today, having never visited before. The interior was beautifully decorated and impressively clean, which gave us high hopes for a great meal. We began with raw oysters and the burrata. The oysters were fresh, but the cocktail sauce tasted like overly sweet ketchup with clumps of horseradish floating on top. The burrata was served with four slices of toasted bread topped with pesto and a balsamic drizzle. Unfortunately, the vinegar was so overpowering that it masked the flavors of both the burrata and the pesto. Then came the pizza, which was cut into squares--a surprising choice for a place that presents itself as Italian. I took two bites and couldn't get past the odd aftertaste. The crust was thin and cracker-like, lacking the texture and flavor you'd expect from a well-made pizza. To their credit, the server kindly asked if they could prepare something else for me. But after seeing what other diners were served, I didn't feel confident that another dish would be any better. A small gesture, like adjusting the bill, would've gone a long way in softening the experience. Sadly, that didn't happen. Had it, I likely wouldn't be writing this review. read more

My wife and I love Italian food and this place hit the spot. We had a warm welcome and service was beyond excellent. All staff were friendly and we received our food relatively fast. The interior is beautiful and spacious. We ordered 3 appetizers, calamari, shrimp cargot dip, sausage and peppers! Here is what we ordered: Risotto Carbonara: Super rich and creamy - the shrimp on top were well sauted and seasoned. Pear Salad: my wife's favorite! The pecans and gorgonzola made the dish. I'm not the a huge fan of gorgonzola but these were tasty. Eggplant Parm:The eggplant was crispy and well layered with sauce and cheese. The spaghetti on the side was surprisingly flavorful and paired well. Chicago Dip Dish Pizza: can't go wrong here - well made pizza and zero complaints. Overall, all of the dishes were made to perfection and the portion sizes are family style which we appreciated. Highly recommended Italian restaurant to all! read more

When we picked up our order Joey and Andrew helped us and they were extremely friendly, helpful, and professional. Our service from start to finish was a 10/10. Waters constantly being refilled and food came out quick. Our server, Cristian, was awesome and super friendly. This was our first time here and we had a fantastic experience - will definitely be back. He did a great job and made our experience super pleasant. Caprese salad - large portion and fresh. Arancini - 2 per order and were great. Gnocchi alla vodka was delicious and so was the steak sandwich. There are many gelato options to choose from and all seem great! Truely my favorite thin crust pizza in the Bloomingdale/Carol Stream area. Its always fantastic, 100% of the time. Service is consistently great. And I love the ambiance. Gotta say it was probably more expensive than most Italian restaurants in the area. So our expectations were - shall we say- high. The bruschetta? Fantastico. We'll order again, happily! I had the rotolo w/vodka sauce (at our waiter's suggestion). Definitely nice tasting, but it wasn't "let's write home about" - just kind of a meh taste. The problem is the bar is very small so if you want to enjoy Happy Hour with another couple go somewhere with a larger bar area or a place that has happy hour throughout the restaurant to have a more enjoyable experience. read more

I learned about this restaurant through a friend's suggestion. I usually don't come out to Roselle often enough to know about this place. Anyway, suffice to say it was a good find. My friends and I came here to celebrate a friend's birthday. He picked this place as he wanted pizza and had Rosario's pizza before. When I got here, the parking lot was almost full and the restaurant was busy and packed. Luckily, some of my friends had already secured a table. The vibe and the atmosphere were nice. The place was lively. The crowd consisted of family & kids, couples, people on a date and folks like my friends and me. Our server was attentive and provided good service. Their menu is extensive and has a good variety. The food is a bit on pricey side. For drinks, most of us ordered soft drinks and one friend ordered wine. They have Coke Zero as a fountain drink so I went with that. For food, to start off, we ordered one order of hot Buffalo wings, a large order of fries and a large extra crispy thin crust pizza with mushrooms and sausage. For our main course, we order a large Chicago stuffed crust (they have a regular stuffed crust pizza too) pizza with all garlic and half sausage. The extra crispy thin crust pizza was da bomb. The crust was exactly like what we wanted it to be. The pizza sauce was on point with its flavor. Not sweet, not tangy or bland but right in the middle with more on savory side. The sausage had a nice taste of fennel. All of these ingredients came together to make for a great tasting pizza. Definitely recommended. The hot Buffalo wings had a nice flavor with a spicy kick but the wings could've been cooked a bit longer for that crisp exterior. Now for the main course. The Chicago stuffed pizza was excellent. It had plenty of cheese. The cheese to pizza sauce ratio compared to the crust was comparable and there wasn't more of one thing over the other. We all enjoyed this pizza as well. It hit the spot. Just after having the thin crust pizza, I felt that I would be coming back to this place and after having the stuffed pizza, that decision got solidified in my mind. The restaurant also has a bar in the front side by the entrance with a small dining area and a couple of TVs. On the left side of the restaurant, you'll find a dessert shop that sells pastries and gelato. The environment of the restaurant is inviting. The owner of the restaurant came and chatted with us for a bit as well. It was good to converse with him. I had a fun time and a good experience here. I would definitely recommend checking out this restaurant if you like good pizza. Next time I go here I'll try their pasta dishes. read more

Went in for the Detroit Style Pizza we saw on Tik Tok and it blew our expectations! Not just the delicious pizza but I don't think we have ever received such great hospitality EVER! The waitress was amazing and attentive, the owner came over and welcomed us in as well as his daughter who sent us home with her moms tiramisu which was to die for! We will definitely be back soon! We always drive past this place and go to other places. So I decided to give it a try. We walked in they asked if we had a reservation and we said no. They still took us in but the place only had one table in use so maybe it was going to get busy in a few not sure. The place is nice inside. Something I didn't like was the waiters and waitresses in back just stand and stare at you and it a very uncomfortable. We came in for pizza and the menu only gives the option of small or large. We got a deep dish and the waitresses says we can only order medium because they don't make a large deep dish. So we got a medium, then we got the bbq chicken pizza in large and asked for no onions since my kids are picky. After some time the food comes out finally and yes I know deep dish takes a very long time to cook. We didn't receive refills or bread. The waitresses last time at the table was when we placed the pizza order and reminded you there's only one table busy with a couple. The deep dish pizza was gooey at dough and the bbq chicken pizza had extra onions. We didn't eat the bbq pizza it smelled like raw onions and the color purple from the onion penetrated the cheese and turned it purple on the spots. Now our waitresses is no where to be found since they have a big party in back and people are standing. Everything is out of control. We just ended up eating the gooey deep dish just ate the crust and the cheese and left the bottom wet dough. I received my bill because I asked a boss boy to bring it. The prices from the menu are different from what they charge you so watch that on your receipt. We paid and left I didn't complain since I had no time to wait and no one to come and see if everything was okay. Who knows where the manger was. What a waste of $85 dollars. read more

I may be biased as I grew up on this pizza. It's still hands down the tastiest in town. The secret is in the signature Rosario's pizza sauce. Can't find anything else with that same kick, and I've searched for years. This place is also family owned since 1976- I used to go to high school with some of the family. Amazing food and people. Tonight, better half took me this wonderful place near her neck of the woods. Great pick! Masks are encouraged but not required. Being vaccinated, I was happy to see this. We were promptly seated and received our drinks. We ordered a small, Sicilian crust, Rosario's special. This comes with pelt, sausages, peppers, mushrooms, and onions. It was delicious and plenty to split with 2 or possible 3 people. The sauce was slightly sweet but bursted with Italian spices. The cheese was done perfectly to a lightly golden brown consistency! Her kids got the gnocchi and calzone. Both were absolutely excellent as well. Overall, the place is excellent. Service was great and so was the food. One thing, they will not honor the Yelp! Reward for checking in. The manager took 2 sodas off the bill though, which was still a nice gesture (the reward was supposed to be a liter of cola). I pass by this place a ton so I finally decided to check it out, I really liked the selection on the menu, there was a lot of good choices to choose from and it made it hard for me to order. I ended up getting a salad along with another appetizer and the pizza. I was very happy with how everything came out!
