I've driven past this small Italian restaurant dozens of times over the past few years, but had never stopped in until tonight. Glad we did. I've been craving chicken parmesean for a while and hadn't had the opportunity to have some. So tonight's "what do you wanna eat" discussion went fairly quickly. I was eager to enjoy a plate of this long time favorite. Happy to report that this cozy little place did not disappoint at all. The food was very good, the service was attentive and fast and very warm. Sides and starters were good. I just really had no complaints. Our visit was fantastic. I've tried this place twice, and both times were disappointing. The first time I ordered a large pepperoni pizza and it had barely any sauce. I decided to give it another chance, and specifically asked for extra sauce. When I received the pizza, it still had very little sauce -- definitely not extra. This is a simple request and they failed to follow through. On top of that, the service was poor. I was told the order would be ready in 20 minutes, but when I arrived nearly 25 minutes later, it still wasn't ready. Between the lack of attention to order details and below-average service, I can't recommend this restaurant. The food isn't good enough to make up for the poor experience. read more

My monthly dining out group chose Italiano's Restaurant for our monthly gathering. We'd heard wonderful things about the restaurant, staff and food. There were around 20+ of us in the group. I hope we didn't overwhelm the kitchen on a Saturday evening. Diana, our server, greeted all of us warmly and asked if we had any questions about the menu. She started taking our drink orders and menu selections. My wife decided on angel hair topped with meat sauce and I opted for the lobster ravioli topped with a pink sauce and chopped shrimp. With my entree a side salad came with it. I ordered it with the house "red" dressing that is very popular with my Italian restaurants in the Fort Worth area. While we waited, we munched on fresh baked bread and enjoyed catching up with everyone in our group. Diana did her best to "work" the room and gather all our orders in an orderly manner. After a bit of a wait, due to the size of our group, our orders were starting to flow into the room. Since my wife and I were some of the first to order, our entrees were some of the first to be delivered. On the other side, I never did receive my salad. Once Diana, our server, realized it, I told her to just skip it. It was too late. We all know Diana was doing the best she could with our large group. My wife really liked the angel hair and meat sauce. My lobster ravioli with the pink sauce and shopped shrimp was good. It would have been much better it the entree was a bit hotter. It probably sat in the kitchen for a bit. Overall, it was just ok, I've had better at other restaurants. I know Diana and the restaurant staff did their best to accommodate our large party and overall everyone had a great time. Italiano's Restaurant has a great party room. The kid and I came here for lunch on a Saturday a little after they opened. We were the first ones in, but people started trickling in soon after. Neither of us have been here before, but we both love Italian food and supporting local businesses. The inside isn't very big and decorated as you would expect, with Italian decor. The waitress came right over and took our drink order. By the time she got back we were ready with our food order. We ordered the mozzarella sticks for an appetizer, and wow! They were warm and gooey and just delicious! I ordered the Chicken Forest which comes with mushrooms and garlic, subbing angel hair pasta for spaghetti. The food was fantastic and creamy! I did add a sprinkle of parmesan and red pepper flakes. It was a lot of food which I was able to split into 3 different meals. Score! Mine came with a side salad and I chose the house dressing. The salad was decent, and the dressing was a unique vinaigrette. The kid ordered the philly without peppers or onions. It came on a large, toasted hoagie topped with melty cheese. Unfortunately, it was very dry. I guess they don't put any type of dressing or sauce on it? The meat was good, but being dry made the sandwich disappointing. Our waitress didn't come back after taking our order until we were ready for the check and to-go boxes. The cook (I think?) brought us our food and got us refills. Placed an order online through their requested app and received a confirmation. Showed up to the restaurant 30mins after our scheduled pick-up time only to learn they "had no knowledge of our order". They offered to "make something real quick" but we declined. We love this place, However the last time they rushed an order it was terrible. No thank you. Week 9 Letter I-we went to Italianos Restaurant in River Oaks Very much a "family owned hole in the wall" type restaurant, we walked in and it was not crowded at all. The service was great! They bring out fresh bread. Not knowing this, we ordered cheese bread and fried calamari-both excellent! My children ordered off the kids' menu and the portions were huge! Spaghetti with a meatball for one, spaghetti with meat sauce for the other. My cousin came in town and went with us to dinner. She ordered the special of the day - Chicken Sunrise - pasta with mushrooms, sun dried tomatoes, and chicken tossed in a garlic cream sauce talk about food envy! Hubby ordered chicken Parmesan, which is his go to for Italian, and he thought it was really good. I got the tour of Italy-chicken Parmesan, lasagna, and fettuccini alfredo. Amazing! The prices were very reasonable-again, huge portions! We brought home so much food. I ordered To-go Alfredo pasta and a Philly steak sandwich they barely put any meat on the sub and they basically poured water into my pasta plate and they barely gave me a single portion they spilled it all in the bag and half ass made our food wasted $30 bucks and literally still went to Luigi's Italian restaurant (they're so frkin good) , we wanted to try it for so long cause it was just down the street n we were so excited about it too then we come to find out the food is bad doesn't taste good but idk it was my first and last time tbh service wasn't even good and I should've known it wasn't even authentic Italian food lol, im not gonna go back that's for sure but igs it was cool to try just to find out it was hella mid. read more

Came in on a Tuesday evening. Very cute Italian restaurant right off the road. Nicely decorated. The service is great. All of the employees working there each came out and checked on us. We originally just came in to grab a drink and sit down and talk but we were impressed by the genuine appreciation and hospitality that we ordered a pizza to go. We have tried every pizza place around our House in Hurst, 20min out. Nothing compares to this place 30 min away. lol Will be more than happy to drive the distance for this pizza. i made a 78$ order. i got 2 parmesan chicken plates. one with alfredo sauce instead of marinara. the alfredo sauce had NO FLAVOR AT ALL. the one with marina was good. i got 2 Philly steak subs which was basically a vegetable sandwich. i ordered buffalo wings which had good flavor but incredibly soggy. i got two garden salads which were good. i asked for a coke 2 liter and got sprite instead. i give them 2 stars. thank god the people were nice or it'd be one star. read more

So this place opened up not too long ago on River Oaks Boulevard where the old Rivas Mexican restaurant was. I was happy to see that it was going to be Italian food, so a couple days ago me and some co-workers decided to head over for lunch. When we arrived I was happy to see that they had some lunch specials to offer and they serve free hot fresh bread for the table, by the way this place is BYOB so don't expect a beer or a glass of wine unless you bring it yourself. I ordered the Ziti Bolognese and it came with a side salad which I chose the house tomato vinaigrette and it was pretty tasty, ziti Bolognese was actually better than I expected pretty good stuff and the portion wasn't skimpy either. I ordered a large pizza. The crumb on the crust is non-existent. Plain, no yeast flavor or semblance of Italian style bread bake. The middle of the pizza was just a goopy soggy mess. Idk how you can bake pizza and have black charring on the outside bottom crust but a soggy undone center. Maybe the oven isn't got enough or too hot? Like I said idk. I ordered extra pepperoni among other smaller toppings, unfortunately that was a big mistake as the pepperoni cuts are inconsistent, and mostly thick causing large amounts of grease pools. The mozzarella was not low moisture, so that's probably what made the water come out easily at the boiling point and made the center soggy. I tried baking it longer to see if I could get the center crispy, but there was too much water in the cheese and sauce to make up for the evaporation of it in the oven. Pizza is a science. People forget that. Probably won't be back again. Friendly and kind service. Open environment and covid friendly. read more
