Went here for the first time recently with friends and family. What an experience! When you first see the menu you may think there are not a lot of options. Look closer and you will see a great selection of dishes that will leave you with difficult choices. The service is what you would expect at a place like this. Your water glass is always full and the team takes care of you. Great wine and cocktail list. Try the old fashioned if you're a bourbon person. The dining room may seem a bit crowded but the noise level is where you can still have a conversation with those around you. My wife ordered the Gnudi, a spinach and ricotta filled dumpling and it was fabulous. But, it did not compare to my duck leg confit with a beet risotto with duck sausage. Wow! I am just saying, this was exceptional! I have had confit all over the world and this was one of the best, by far. Overall, I cannot recommend this spot more highly. I don't generally like to leave bad reviews, I try to be fair but this place really pushed the bountries... To call this an italian restaurant is a joke, it feels like someone who's never been to Italy is trying to fool people with this generic nonsense. Service was fine, but the food quality helped me understand why the place was overwhelmingly empty on a Thursday evening. On top of that, they asked if id like bread with my pasta, I said yes and they brought 2 pieces of burnt bread. I asked for some butter or oil, they brought a small patch of decent quality butter. I finished my meal and asked for the check, I was shocked to see they charged me $5 for the bread and $1 for the tiny piece of butter. I've never seen this before, and was quite surprised they didn't mention i was going charged when they asked if i wanted bread. Avoid, customers don't deserve to be treated this way when there are so many options in the area. read more

Entry is elegant without pretension - crisp white table cloths and soft warm lighting indoors and out, with a generous patio facing Burnett Park. Apéritivo Hour should draw locals running every day in the bar & patio including drinks & snacks. I wish I had come with a larger appetite because the menu offers a balanced selection of antipasti (starters), zuppa (soup), insalata (salad), primi (housemade pasta), secondi (protein dishes), and contorni (sides). My gracious server recommended a Rosemary Foccaccia (saved for next time) and Wild Arugula salad that was garden fresh in a Texas pecan vinaigrette with snappy pecorino and the most incredible crisped chicken skin as an alternative to traditional breadcrumbs. It was light and fresh with depth and richness, a perfect starter. From cool to warm - a Kabocha Squash Soup made with honeycrisp apple cider topped a tart currant chutney and crunchy roasted pine nuts. Texture was velvety smooth, delicately sweet, perfectly balanced, thoughtfully light to precede later dishes. Dessert a must, ask for house recommendation which rotates. My lovely server remained present and attentive although I was her only patron on the patio - a sign of superb service! I'm looking forward to seconds and main on my next trip. read more

I would have given 5 stars because: 1. The venue is absolutely elegant, warm, and stunning. 2. While the courses were excellent and executed masterfully, I personally love hints of extra seasoning. However, the appetizers were a complete dream. 3. The service was familial yet professional, which is nice to experience at a high end restaurant. It makes me want to return again. While our server was very knowledgeable, friendly, and efficient -- and initially we were not in a rush for the evening -- I did mention having an uber scheduled for pick up 2 hours after our reservation time and they were a bit loquacious. I guess our main courses were not placed until about 15mins before our uber pick up so we essential took two bites of our dinner and rushed out. By this time the restaurant was packed. I paid cash and conveniently, their register didn't have enough bills to give an exact amount back so I paid an enormous tip. We've had such a great dining experience in the past that we chose to come back tonight to celebrate a friend's birthday. We were genuinely excited -- the food has always been delicious and the atmosphere previously felt lively and welcoming. Unfortunately, while we were in the middle of celebrating and simply enjoying ourselves (nothing outrageous -- just birthday joy), we were told to please be quiet. It completely caught us off guard. We truly didn't realize we were dining inside a library or somewhere that required silent reflection and deep concentration. It instantly shifted the mood at our table. What started as such a fun, special evening felt awkward and uncomfortable. A birthday dinner should feel celebratory -- not like you're being shushed for laughing. The focaccia was fresh, soft on the inside with the perfect crisp exterior -- ideal for soaking up every bit of sauce. For mains, the New York steak was cooked perfectly with a beautiful sear and so much flavor. The gnocchi was pillowy and light, coated in a sauce that felt indulgent but balanced. Service was also stellar -- incredibly friendly and efficient! To drink, I had the Saturn's Ring, which was perfectly strong and refreshing! Man this place is so good. I came here with my lady for New Year's Eve and it did not disappoint. They took our reservation last minute, which was very kind of them. Had an amazing Galentines dinner at 61 Osteria. They offer valet parking or you can find parking nearby. The entrance is a little hard to find but there is a sign out front. We made a reservation and were seated right on time. Our favorite appetizers were the focaccia, mediterranean octopus, and the arancini. Everything was seasoned very well and the octopus wasn't chewy at all. The lobster gnocchi had a little spice kick and the bolognese was amazing. We also got a porterhouse and it was a beautiful medium rare. Drinks were good. I highly recommend the Saturns ring (little fruity bubbly sprit) or wine to pair with the meal. The rosemary focaccia was so flavorful and the variety of dips and butters all added to what was already fantastic. Great food and great service! The focaccia is one of the best breads I've had in quite some time. I forgot the name of the drink I had, but it was one that had thyme in it and it was one of the more unique drinks I've had in a while. My partner and I were in Ft Worth for NYE and made reservations for 61 Osteria. The restaurant is located downtown and within walking distance of many hotels. The restaurant is beautiful. The decor is swanky and inviting. The service was also amazing. From the hostess to waitress to manager; top tier. Craft cocktails..perfect. However, sadly, the food didn't meet expectations immediately. Let me start by saying the focaccia absolutely stole the show! Accompanied with Saba & Olive Oil, Whipped Ricotta & Chorizo and Parm Butter....outstanding! For entrees, I ordered the Tagliatelle Bolognese and my partner the NY strip. The Tagliatelle lacked flavor and the pasta was mushy. So much so the ribbons were all broken and you couldn't twirl if you tried. The NY strip was overcooked. Granted my partner ordered Med Well but what she received was well done with no pink in sight. The steak definitely needed a do over so we alerted our waitress who let the manager know. The manager was very nice, accommodating and immediately ordered a new steak for my partner. Even though I had no plans on sending the Tagliatelle back and was going to muscle through it, I decided to let her know that it wasn't up to par as well. However, she insisted that I not leave hungry and that she'd bring me a new dish; which I appreciated. The new steak was perfection and so was the pasta dish; the Serpente! We also received dessert on the house; Texas Olive Oil Cake and Tiramisu Cheesecake. The cheesecake was the winner here! I'm not sure if the kitchen was overwhelmed because of NYE or if it was just an off night. Nonetheless, I'm happy that they were able to make it right. I was invited to a work dinner here during the week. It was a great location downtown Ft worth and had a pretty extensive menu. Our server was able to answer all our questions and was attentive. They have outside seating as well but we decided to sit inside and enjoy the views from the large windows. My husband and I came here for our 1 year marriage anniversary and thoroughly enjoyed our experience, the dinner, and the dessert! We started with the bread and various accoutrements (whipped butter, handmade butter, etc). That is a must have! Then my husband had the seafood stew, and I had the pesto ravioli. Both were great but the seafood stew was excellent. And we finished with the Texas olive oil cake, which was so unique and delicious. It was pretty inside, and our booth was nice. We actually found this place, since we had dinner at grace a month ago. this place and grace and little red wasp are all owned by the same company/owner. Since i liked grace and this place, i have to check out little red wasp in the future. We came here to celebrate my wife's birthday and it didn't disappoint. I know there is valet in front, but we got lucky and found street parking right around the corner. We made reservations, and was seated promptly. I was actually surprised they didn't offer bread in the beginning while we wait for food, but instead they offer bread to buy, which i'm glad we did, since the rosemary focaccia bread was so dang delicious. We ended up getting two appetizers (fried seafood & grilled octopus), and a salad to share. out of the two appetizer, i really enjoyed the octopus. it wasn't a lot of food, and it was a bit on the pricier side, but it was really good. For the entrees, we ended up getting two pasta dishes. (i mean, this place is known for their pastas). out of the two (Bolognese and mushroom) both were wonderful. The mushroom pasta had tasty sauce you can dip the bread in, and the Bolognese being a classic is hard to mess up. We ended dinner with tiramisu, which i highly recommend. The serving was small but every bite was perfect. The pasta was perfect. The meatballs were divine and the sauce full of flavor. I would have ordered another one but decorum made me not do that... but I ordered an appetizer, the risotto balls and if the pasta w meatballs was great, this was even better. I even used a tablespoon to have all the sauce in the little bowl that these were served. I was not going to leave a drop in the plate. Oh no! My server Lindsay was charming and competent. We were excited to try 61 Osteria, and while overall it was wonderful, there were a few things that hindered it from getting a 5/5. Note: all the food you get can be shared, as portion size for everything is great. I definitely recommend getting several different dishes and sharing with the table. Ambience is beautiful - I could only add 10 photos, but the whole room is beautiful, and one of the classiest venues in all of DFW. Pastas were cooked perfectly, and each have a unique flavor that leaves you craving more. We had also gotten a shank that was fall off the bone good - definitely an inspiration from Grace. Now the not so good.. service unfortunately missed the mark on this trip. We know our way around fine dining and sadly our waiter was a bit patronizing through the night. We wanted to speak to the sommelier for wine recommendations as we had gotten several different dishes, but the waiter took it upon himself to give us wine recommendations.. which unfortunately missed the mark. That's on us in a sense for not being a bit more insistent to validate with the Sommelier. Secondly, the veal chop Marsala had incredible flavor, but was a bit too overcooked. My girlfriend and I celebrated a mutual friends birthday and was greeted by smiling service and attentiveness that was refreshing and honest. Our waiter gave us a rundown of the menu and pretty quickly we had drinks and appetizers ordered... Both were tasty but for the price one would think there would be a bit more portion/quantity wise. The Capesante comes in a trio so we had to order an additional a la carte for 4 guests this is honestly ridiculous at a 29$ price tag like even if I come on a date my date and I have got to argue over the last piece and it's already 30 bucks it should come with 4... We got the rosemary focaccia as well and this was pretty good I enjoyed the dips and the bread was very soft. We put in for our main courses a (spicy) Rotollo and Serpente. The Serpente (white) was excellent very sharp with a robust cheesy flavor that leaves you satisfied but isn't overpowering. Highly recommend this dish!! The Rotollo (red) in my opinion lacked flavor, I asked for a spicier version and they added some peppers but the dish had no kick whatsoever and it honestly lacked flavors I thought it would've considering the presentation of the dish. We were spending a weekend in Fort Worth and I came across 61 Osteria while researching restaurants in the area and I am so happy we came here! First of all atmosphere was great, with a ton of sunlight coming into the restaurant. Servers were very kind and knowledgeable and all the food that our server recommended was awesome! Our favorite was the Serpente. It was pasta filled with ricotta cheese and our server said that this is his absolute favorite pasta dish and it's one of a kind that we won't be able to find anywhere else. I'm so glad we listened to him and ordered this one. It was so creamy and the pasta felt so fresh, and the sauce was amazing. We also enjoyed all the dishes we had. Octopus was cooked very well and the fried seafood was so crispy and the batter was seasoned perfectly.
