I moved here to Temple in November and have been searching for pizza that I would like since. I'm not talking about one of the major chains but Italianos gave me what I was looking for. The food is delicious but I assume it depends on who's making it. The first time I went I got the carryout special which was a XXL 1- topping for $15.99 which is fair for 2024 along with a meatball sub. I chose hamburger and it was everything I wanted and the meatball sub was fresh, home-made meatballs not frozen loaded with cheese and sauce. I recommend getting a meatball sub definitely. I went back a second time and it was good again, I said they couldn't miss. This last time I went I ordered 2 pizzas 1 with hamburger the other with pepperoni. That time they weren't as good because the bottoms were burnt too hard and tasted like eating pieces of cardboard. I'm assuming they had an off day but when you pay near $40 for 2 pizzas there should be no off day. I really like Italianos and will give them another shot and hopefully it will be like the first time I had it. Give them a try if you're looking for some good pizza because they are very capable of making it happen and get that meatball sub.... CIAO read more

I order a Alfredo chicken pizza to go which I haven't had before and boy we were very happy we did. The pizza was made to perfection and was still hot when I returned home. I have order at Italiano's many times before but the first time for the pizza. Received great service and will start ordering more pizza next time. read more

The pizza here is fairly good, but I enjoy the spinach rolls. They are served with warm pizza sauce on the side. I prefer ranch instead of the sauce. This is the only place I know of that regularly has them. Joe's pizza off East Gate in Killeen doesn't have them usually, even though they are a regular menu item. We also tried the chicken Alfredo calzone, I think that's the right name, it was a great flavor combo. However, it had a lot of grease. I guessing it was from the Alfredo sauce being baked. Unfortunately, my most recent visit was not very good. A few years back I gave them a 4-star review and was pretty happy, but this time I got stale garlic knots that had no garlic flavor, very greasy pizza, and waited way too long for my food than I should have - - which results in a 2-star experience. Waiting is a theme here, and the staff will tell you it's because they have a lot of call-in orders. Yeah, I get it, but the food I ordered is already cooked and sitting there and just needs to be reheated and packaged up (2 slices of pizza and 2 orders of garlic knots). So ideally my ticket should go directly to the front prep-line where the food is and NOT in the back queue 6th in line where they are making pizzas, right? Not to mention there are 2 people up front who are multi-tasking and have time to talk n chat and could immediately start working my order. I tried explaining this to one of the staff and just got a blank stare. Plus these garlic knots used to be really good last I remembered, but they were very stale and lacked garlic flavor. Why? It's real simple - they've been sitting there for a long time in the pan - same goes with the stromboli and other pastries. They should not have sold these to customers - cold and stale - and should have made a new batch, but they're serving expired food. It was so gross I threw them out. So, in that case, I don't think I'll ever be back here for stale garlic knots that weren't garlicky and really really really greasy pizza, and waiting 25 min for something that could have been done in less than half the time. Ugh. It's so sad, sorry Italiano's. Please improve the quality of your product. Thank you and have a nice day. read more

This is a great spot for inexpensive Italian food. Their food is consistently filling & delicious, and the prices are hard to beat. My favorite thing to order is the white spinach pizza. The cheese is so fresh and flavorful, which really sets it apart from that of fast food type pizza places. We ordered delivery of 2 Italian trios. A very disappointing presentation of gobs and gobs of what appeared like someone vomited up cheese into a foil plate. The filling had very tasty and high quality ingredients but the ratio of cheese to pasta was way too high. The aesthetics were unappetizing to have what appeared like 4 pounds of cheese thrown into a plate with very little pasta and very little filling. The included garlic knots were very tasty but we will probably not be ordering this again. Was too expensive and overpriced for just cheese and very little pasta. When it 1st arrived it was actually oozing and dripping oils out of the paper bag surrounding the individual containers. They should do a better job when they plate the customer's food to be more appetizing. read more

Update: I am very happy with this restaurant. I would be a regular if I lived closer. I go though whenever I am in the area. Mostly when I visit the hospital which is located right down the street. What keeps me coming back here when I do visit is the variety of things on the menu. I took pics of their current take out menu. My favorite two items are the calzones and the chicken Parmesan w spaghetti. The salad w chicken was good and I like the fact that they serve full sized salads w an Italian bread. The pepperoni roll was great as well. I like how they seem committed to food quality. They remind me of an authentic Italian place I went to as a child in Houston. The marinara tastes very similar. They use take out containers and disposable eating utensils but that matters very little to me as I come there for the quality of food they serve. The prices have increased slightly but in my opinion I rather pay a tiny bit more and get great quality than the same and get average food. I have a great respect for Italiano's making quality a top priority. If your looking for a flashy place w overpriced mediocre food don't come here but if your seeking the real deal look no further. read more

I had been wanting to try this place for a while and I got a free slice and coke for donating blood. I was not disappointed but I wish I could have gotten a few more pictures. I had the chicken Alfredo which was dripping with cheese and sauce but make sure you catch all of the sauce and save it for the crust. I also got a pepperoni for dinner later that night. Both were amazing. This is a great place to take your family. The only thing is parking is a little scarce so try not to go at the prime times. Pretty ridiculous when they can't accommodate people's dietary needs. I asked for Buffalo wings as that is the only sauce I can have because I can't have any sugar. They don't have any. Then I ask if they can make me a pizza without the crust since I can't have bread. They tell me they have to ask... they ask and tell me they can but they're going to charge me the price of a small pizza and for sauce, cheese, and pepperoni, it'll be $15!!!! I tell them no thanks and move along. If you can't accommodate people's dietary restrictions and you aren't willing to help accommodate for less than an obscene price, why are you even in business? Have been here 3 times so far. Their spaghetti and meatballs are delicious! Their garlic rolls are nice but maybe need more garlic & a tad more butter or olive oil. I've also tried their calzone. I'm accustomed to calzone which are closed like turnovers. The filling was tasty (philly cheese), but I would've preferred the calzone to be crimped closed better, and the dough could be improved with more density. This one was a bit too airy for me.
