I reached out to Don at Itasca Window Cleaning after getting what a thought was too high of a quote for all the work we needed done on our windows. Don was very prompt to respond to my inquiry and he did it with professionalism and humor. Eager to take on new business (as any small business man should be) he came out later that day to see what needed to be done. After he spoke with the boss of the house he had a rock bottom unbeatable quote and we settled on a date after a few more hilarious e-mails. What one of the big companies quoted for just windows and sills, Don had windows and sills, frames, rails and screens. (And jokes) Now, I was not home when the cleaning was done but my In-Laws who tell it like it is, said the work and professionalism was second to none. They were all very kind and neat and did a great job. When I came home I was alarmed because I thought the screens were left off the windows until I realized everything was so clean I couldn't see them. I honestly didn't know our windows could be this spotless and clean, I cannot believe I lived with such sub standards. They completed our window cleaning within just a few days of my phone call. The entire crew is polite, professional, clean and prompt. They made sure everything was cleaned up and even made recommendations on some repairs we needed. We had to have a few screens replaced and Don offered to come back and rehang them once we received them back from Ace. I called and they were out the same day to do them. Additionally, after a terrible storm we realized our gutters were clogged. We left a message at 7pm and the next day at 8am we already had a call saying they would be by that day to come and clean them for us. Again, another wonderful job. Air duct cleaning took 5 hours until David was satisfied they were entirely clean. Windows are so clean I may just walk through the patio door forgetting there's glass. He provided a quote immediately and several dates of service to select from, all within the same week. Since I was going out of town I selected 2 weeks out and this past Friday 5/12/17 we had all of our windows cleaned and also contracted them for gutters. The two gentlemen that came out were professional and courteous and did a thorough cleaning inside and out. One of my major concerns was making sure the windowsills and window screens were cleaned real well because those are the details I cannot perform myself. We moved into our home in late February and the windows were LONG overdue for a cleaning. Full of dirt, grime and spider webs. In addition, aside from being old, some of our windows are a bit odd in how they operate. I was concerned that cleaning them would either be impossible or would require an excessive fee. I reached out to Don, based on customer reviews speaking to a professional job and affordability. For the past 10 years, Roman Windows have provided me with exemplary service but are no longer serving my area. I provided Don with the specs for the job and he gave me an estimate--more than double what I have paid in the past and been quoted by other companies. When I enquired, he replied that he didn't do partial jobs and I should go with a "second tier" company if I wanted less than a "proper" cleaning. I am a senior on a fixed income, and I do the windows I am able to to reduce cost, as do several of my neighbors. I do not live in a second tier area, I am proud of my home, and willing to maintain as much of it as I am able. Even with the exception of these several windows, the estimate was extremely high. I have to doubt the validity of the posted reviews.
