Ithaki is one of my favorite restaurants on the north shore. It's right off route 1 and the restaurant is a lot bigger than what you'd expect. It's beautifully decorated on the inside. We're always welcomed with such a friendly staff when we come here. The food has always been great. Their bread and garlic sauce is delicious. My favorite dish is the clam pasta. All their plates are perfect portions.

Breakfast: 2 steak, scrambled sausage and toast, and another dish of French toast

One of the best places to eat breakfast since we've been here for three days the food portions were big and delicious and the service was friendly and warm and the ambience was beautiful. Recommended 100% go anytime..

Interesting spot! We're from out of town and have enjoyed a handful of restaurants in Saugus. We tend to stop here when flying in and out of Boston. We tried Ithaki without doing much research, and to our surprise it ended up being a bit fancier than we expected (the other places we've tried nearby are definitely more casual). The staff was warm, accommodating, and kind. They didn't have any availability (which actually surprised us) but offered seats at the bar for dinner. The bar ended up being a great experience, and we didn't feel out of place at all. The food itself was really good. My husband ordered the moussaka, one of his favorite Greek dishes, and he kept saying it was the best he's had in New England. My chicken dish was tasty and absolutely massive; I took half home. It came with these delicious carrots, though the sauce was a bit on the greasier side. We also split a halloumi salad that was good, but not the best salad I've ever had by any means. We'd definitely return, especially now that we know it's a solid date-night spot. The food was great and fairly priced, the staff was nice, and overall we really enjoyed our meal.

This was our first time here and I had picked it for date night based on reviews and my fiancee's want for Greek recently. You can't go wrong! The food was absolutely amazing and great service. The atmosphere is wonderful! We definitely will be returning!

Outstanding Experience at Ithaki in Peabody! Quickly became a favorite. From the moment you walk in, you're greeted with warm, attentive service and an inviting, elegant atmosphere. The Mediterranean-inspired menu is packed with fresh, vibrant flavors--everything is beautifully prepared and thoughtfully presented with upmost finesse. Ithaki delivered an amazing dining experience for our long overdue date night. Baked Feta An absolute must try dish. Served warm, the feta is perfectly creamy on the inside with a golden, slightly crisp top wrapped in phyllo, sprinkled with pistachio crumbs & drizzled with honey. The contrast of the warm cheese with the honey & the tangy pomegranate is perfection. Falafel a la Petros Crispy on the outside, soft and perfectly spiced on the inside--every bite is packed with fresh herbs and bold Mediterranean flavor. It's served beautifully with a delicious house made hummus and pita. Moroccan Crusted Tuna Cooked perfectly with a wonderful sear on the tuna. Packed with an abundance of Mediterranean flavor served with Harissa hummus puree, lentils with spinach & finocio. Youvetsi Braised lamb that just melts-in-your-mouth tender, perfectly seasoned, and served over orzo in a tomato-wine sauce that's both comforting and deeply flavorful.

Celebrating New Year's Eve at Ithaki Mediterranean Restaurant was nothing short of a five-star dining experience. We had an 8:00 PM reservation, and despite the restaurant being lively with couples and families ringing in the new year, the atmosphere struck the perfect balance--festive and energetic, yet still comfortable enough to hold a conversation. From start to finish, the service was truly top tier. Even on such a busy holiday night, the pacing never felt rushed. Drinks, appetizers, entrées, and dessert flowed seamlessly, allowing us to relax and enjoy each course at just the right rhythm. The staff was professional, warm, and genuinely welcoming, making it clear that choosing to dine with them was appreciated. A special touch that stood out was the hostess making rounds throughout the dining room, personally checking in with guests to ensure everything tasted great and that no one needed a thing--an attention to detail that elevated the entire experience. We started with the Octopus Carpaccio (GF), served with jalapeño and sweet peppers, pickled onion pearls, lemon zest, olive oil, and fried capers. The octopus was cooked perfectly--tender, delicate, and never rubbery. It was lightly seasoned, allowing the natural flavors and freshness of the seafood to shine, while the bright acidity and subtle heat enhanced every bite without overpowering it. The presentation was elegant and restrained--just enough to showcase the dish before diving in. For entrées, we enjoyed the Rack of Lamb (GF) accompanied by potatoes, eggplant, and zucchini ratatouille-style. The lamb was cooked flawlessly--juicy, tender, and incredibly flavorful without being over-seasoned. Ithaki clearly trusts the quality of their ingredients, letting the natural juices and richness of the meat speak for themselves. Each bite was balanced and comforting, with vegetables that complemented rather than competed with the star of the plate. The Wagyu was equally impressive, served with whipped potatoes, asparagus, wild mushrooms, and a silky demi-glace. The meat was cooked to perfection--rich, buttery, and melt-in-your-mouth tender. Again, restraint was key here: no heavy seasoning, just thoughtful execution that allowed the natural depth of the Wagyu to truly light up the taste buds. The presentation was refined but not overdone, highlighting the food itself rather than distracting from it. What truly sets Ithaki apart is the value behind the menu. For the price point, you are getting exceptionally high-quality, fresh ingredients prepared by someone who clearly understands and respects Greek cuisine. Every dish reflects experience, intention, and authenticity--food cooked by a kitchen that knows exactly what it's doing. Overall, Ithaki delivered an exceptional New Year's Eve dining experience--from the atmosphere and service to the impeccable execution of every dish. We loved celebrating such a special night here and absolutely can't wait to return for another memorable occasion.

A lovely, busy Greek restaurant. I started my meal with a nice expresso martini; my friend enjoyed the Persephone. I needed a light meal, so I chose the egg lemon soup and mussels. The waiter was right, there was enough for two. My friend had the cod. My only disappointments were the afterdinner masticha drink - a very light and aromatic drink. I think I did not care for their brand. Also the galatoboreko was over saturated with overly sweet syrup and needed more custard. Otherwise, a wonderful meal.

We came here on a Friday night and everything was so good! If you'd like a booth, you may want to make a reservation but otherwise, we were seated right away. Jenny is a 5 star server, super attentive and went above and beyond our entire visit. I really appreciate her hospitality. We started with the souvlaki, the scallops and the octopus. The souvlaki is tender and flavorful. The scallops with the mushrooms, asparagus, whipped potatoes and cranberry were some of the best I've ever tried, and I would absolutely get the meal next time. The octopus was cooked to perfection and the fava with the garlic aioli + arugula is delicious. Their Broken Rake drink was amazing, as well as the desserts. The chocolate cake is extremely decadent and I especially loved the galactobouriko! broken rake 5/5 souvlaki 4.5/5 octopus 5/5 scallops 5/5 galactobouriko 5/5 choc cake 4/5 (if you're a choc lover it would be a 5) I highly recommend checking out Ithaki for their amazing food + service, and they're great for groups! I'll be trying everything on their menu. ambiance: 5/5 drinks: 5/5 food: 5/5 service: 5/5 Ithaki: 5/5

It's not a true hidden speakeasy since the sister restaurant upstairs, the Dire Wolf Tavern, has signage on the street for it, but I didn't care - the drinks just looked beautiful, and the moody decor was so on trend for Salem without hitting you over the head in a touristy way. We walked down some pretty steep steps after having dinner at the DWT - not sure if there's another entrance or not, but seems a little accessibility challenged. We sat in some of the low down, trendy looking, cushy chairs, and had to order drinks at the bar. Table service would have been nicer, especially for what they're charging for a cocktail. I asked for a pretty drink I'd seen online in a coupe glass with foam and purple and yellow almost flower shapes in the foam, but was told it was from an old menu. No big deal, I figured as such since it was an older photo online. I ordered the Midsommar cocktail without egg white (was very excited to see Creme de Violette on a menu, but the flavor was more mild than I hoped). It was pretty good, and quite strong. I wasn't over the moon in love with it - I actually liked the drink options upstairs better lol - but it was quite good and made quickly. This spot would be great for a photoshoot, I'm dying to get a spot at the unique lit up circular bar they have. It started getting busier and louder later into the night, but when we first arrived it was nice and calm and relatively quiet. I'd go back to try more specialty cocktails, but for $20 including tip for 1 drink that was honestly quite small, it feels a bit like an overpriced tourist spot. Very fun to visit but not great if you want to be having multiple drinks. I'm glad we went and would try it out again for sure.
