They didn't have Chicharrón, but they offered instead to cook Tostones y Fried Pork Chunks. Perfect! Waited a few minutes and my meal was prepared. Their buffet selection consists of about six meat options like stew chicken, baked chicken and beef and the plates come with the standard white or yellow rice and beans. The stew chicken was tasty and so tender it glided off the bone. The fluffy yellow rice was mildly seasoned but the flavor comes from the red beans poured on top (or on the side). The enchiladas were lost under the salad, oddly dry, and just "meh", though were previously great. The surf and turf burrito was both very salty and oddly dry -- like someone forgot to put sauce in it. It needed some kind of sauce, salsa, or crema. We'll hope it gets back to prior 5 star standards and re-rate it today with a hopeful 3.
