Came here to get dinner with my lover and our friends. Originally wanted Hako but the wait was too long haha. We had a party of 8, and this place is kinda small so we got seated at 2 different booths behind/in front of each other. Originally, they wanted to seat us farther apart, diagonally, which was kinda weird but whatever. My lover and I ordered the bulgogi combo to share and chose the dumpling tofu soup (mild). The bulgogi was rly good, but the tofu soup was unfortunately super bland. Their assortment of Banchan (side dishes) was different than the ones I'm normally used to but they offered some good ones! My faves were the pancake, rice cakes, and potato :) Service was not good though. We were seated before another party but we didn't receive any water until we asked for it whereas the other party got their water handed to them without asking Also, they accidentally gave us a full size of the bulgogi instead of the combo size and I ate some of the full size already (since I thought it was my order) but they took it back anyway??? I'm unsure if they gave it to another customer or not but why not ask if we ate it already or just leave it since it was their mistake? Idk, I just found that to be weird. And they also kinda rushed us by giving us the check super early, even though there were no parties waiting for a table? I don't like that. We wanted to ask for more side dishes too but at that point, we didn't think we could ask anymore since they already gave us the check. Try this place if you're rly craving tofu soup and are interested in a different assortment of side dishes, but me personally? Back here a month later! Food and service here are as excellent as ever! My daughter's enjoying the kids meal and she already wolfed down one seaweed rice ball before I took this photo. The first thing she said upon tasting it was, this is so good! I got the medium spice beef tofu soup and my husband got the beef and kimchi tofu soup with spicy pork bulgogi. Did not know this place existed and it's a lot closer to home instead to driving to the BCD Tofu at Diamond Jamboree. My wife and I wanted something warm and spicy during this cold night. I ordered the Dumpling Tofu Soup (Spicy) and the Seafood Onion Pancake and my wife ordered the Seafood Tofu Soup (Mild). The Dumpling Soup has four pieces of dumplings that blended well the broth of the soup and accompanied by small portions of beef. The Seafood Onion Pancake had equal portions of squid and onions and a delicate dipping sauce that enhanced its flavor. read more

Good food ruined by terrible service - not worth the price I rarely leave reviews, but this experience was so frustrating I have to share it. This was my 2nd time here. The 1st visit was during a slower time and it was fine, but my 2nd visit on a busy Sunday around 12:30 PM was a completely different story. The food itself was decent & came out quickly after ordering, but the service was beyond disappointing. Every time we asked for a kimchi refill, it took forever -- or it was completely forgotten. I had to ask multiple times, and while the staff verbally apologized, they never actually brought it back the second time. What made it even stranger is that instead of just bringing a new bowl of kimchi like most Korean restaurants in OC, they kept taking the same bowl to the back and returning it. It felt inefficient and honestly unhygienic. On top of that, our water bottles were empty for most of the meal. I raised my hand for at least 4-5 minutes, but none of the staff would even glance at the tables. It felt like they were purposely avoiding eye contact, hanging out near the kitchen and iPads even after the rush had died down. I eventually had to literally shout to get someone's attention -- something I've never had to do at any restaurant before -- just to get water or even ask for the bill. Ironically, the only time they moved fast was when it came to taking our payment. The moment we put the credit card down, someone rushed over immediately. That says a lot about their priorities. Lastly, I asked for just hot water and was told they don't serve hot water. For a restaurant, that just seems ridiculous. Overall, the experience left a bad taste in my mouth. No matter how good the food is, it's not worth the price or the stress of begging for basic service. I won't be coming back, and I'd recommend others think twice before dining here. read more
