I should have asked where they get their beans because it tasted similar to some of the best coffee and espresso I've had in Miami. Price was reasonable as well, I think around $4 for the double. Well, when I was there, there was just 2 people leaving from the same party and it was empty, so it seems that your extremely limited menu of a few items is not drawing a crowd, so why not let people make tea reservations? They already make pastries and it takes nothing to make tea sandwiches. Some of the desserts in the case are in glass cups, not sure if they will put it in a take-out container. I am more likely to be in town during the week here than on a weekend. I drove by another place nearby at the same time of day and people were lined up outside to get in. The decor is really nice and the food was good. I would stop in again for pastry.

High Tea Grand Rapids is a charming tea room with a surprisingly large space that still manages to feel cozy. Between the four of us (my friend, our husbands, and me), we ordered the full tea service and sampled four different teas like very civilized, slightly competitive sommeliers. The guys stayed classic with Yorkshire and Earl Grey, while we ventured into China Rose Petal, Green Tea with Jasmine, and Rose Lemonade. The Rose Lemonade was my favorite, even though it's decaf... which feels like a betrayal, but I forgave it. The tiered tray presentation was beautiful, filled with savories, scones, and sweets. Everything was tasty, though I have to be honest: the breads leaned a bit dry, and the plain scone missed that magical scone moment. You know the one, crisp edges with a soft, tender center. You can't go wrong with any of their pastries, I've had the banana bread, carrot cake muffin, cherry lemon muffin, to name a few but they've all been delicious. The decor is so cute with black and white checkered tile and olive green board and batten walls. And the staff are always so friendly and welcoming. Highly recommend if you are in Ada!
