This time I did take-out & utilized their drive up window. Friendly over the phone. Had to wait an extra 10mins when I arrived, which I don't mind because the food is made to order. The portions are always enough to have leftovers. The meals come with plenty of veggies in every dish we've ordered. You can have an egg added to your rice as well. Today they lost our order, and the lady on the phone tried to explain to me that even though they said it would be ready in 15 minutes, the fact that it's been 45 minutes shouldn't be a problem. This may have been one of the greatest sushi visits I've ever had. The service wasn't too slow considering the entire place was packed. The outside looks a bit old- but don't let this fool you. The interior is incredibly clean and modern without having that corporate sterile feel. The average rating for this place does not reflect the quality at all. I've been coming here for years. I thought I sent a review but I guess I didn't so here it goes. They're delicious! The sushi is made extremely well and prepared well. Taste never fails to hits a beat. The place is always clean and relaxing. You can talk and hear the people who you come with which is also nice. Wait staff is also always kind. Always has smiles on their faces and always checks on you to make sure you're taken care of. Accommodates you with your service dog as well. I asked for a corner once away from being in the way and they made that happen for me. I love all the options that they have from beverage, to meal, to deserts. Ordered the honey walnut shrimp and was surprised to see plain cashews on them. The sea bass was out of stock so I updated the order to the crispy red snapper. I was expecting a whole fish like in normal Chinese restaurants, but it was more like fish nuggets. Shrimp was overcooked and the sauce did not taste right. We were visiting our son who is a football player at West Point. He asked if we could take him out for sushi for dinner, so we figured we needed to look for an all you can eat restaurant to not break the bank. We were nervous given the current Yelp rating, but decided to give it a try after seeing some of the ridiculous reasons for poor reviews. We are so happy we tried it because the food was amazing! It was truly all you can eat for a very reasonable price, and all the portions were huge. The servers were the nicest people too. It can take a little time between orders, but no more so than other all you can eat sushi restaurants and the food quality definitely makes it worth the wait. I dont understand how this place gets such a bad score. This was the 1st date night for myself and my now wife about 15 years ago. We hadn't been here in a few years, went for vday 25 to see how it's held up. We had the all you can eat deal, and everything we had, was absolutely great! I got all you can eat, and man did my eyes were bigger than my stomach. so first I had the gyoza, I never had gyoza deep fried, I loved the crispy shell and very fresh. The filling was plentiful and savory. The gyoza sauce was sweet and very Lighty tangy, which great since most dipping sauce for dumplings tend to be overly tangy and its off putting, not here though. Had pink lady, volcano, spider and spicy crab rolls. plus a few single sushi rolls. all the sushi was very fresh and so flavorful. very easy to tell how much love and effort goes into every piece of sushi like a fine piece of art. could not eat all pieces since i ordered more than I could eat, hah. so, I offered to pay extra to take my leftovers from all you can eat, and they cool about it, am glad since I really liked it and I did not want to waste it. overall decent service and awesome sushi, It's the only place I can think of you can get your fill of high quantity sushi. read more

Pretty good food. Pretty consistent with the food as well. Sometimes they make me pay extra for crab tempura when I'm already eating the all you can eat special which I had thought was all you can eat. Besides that I love this .... Recently there has been a serious inconsistency in my spicy crab roll. One day it's great you can see the orangish crab and other days it's white crab meat with some orange stuff on the side, now it's all orange stuff and barely any crab. I am a firm believer that the best food in the world comes from places that look like they should be condemned by the health department! That's not the case here - this place just needs a visit from the health department. If the food had been amazing the rest of the cleanliness and maintenance issues would not have mattered so much - but alas this was not to be. I ordered two rolls and the age tofu. My son ordered the sweet and sour chicken lunch special and the edamame. Now....I like to keep my reviews honest but funny in nature. In the genuine interest of public health I am going to forgo the sarcasm and be specifically deliberate with my words - what I say to follow is the HONEST review of the food. The edamame came out first, and while a favorite of my family I had severe hesitation about trying it - it LITERALLY smelled like sweaty gym socks! The tofu was barely cooked - I know, it's tofu what's to cook but in this case its supposed to be lightly fried - this was still cold. My son commented to me that his rice tasted "sour", I thought maybe the sweet & sour sauce got on it so I tried it - no, it was sour! As in 'left out too long starting to turn' sour. It's rice!!! It's fairly easy and fast to make, why would this have been left out or old? My California and Philli rolls smelled fine but were warm (room temperature warm) and the Philli roll was 90% cream cheese - I literally had to de-cheese it to make it edible. Now for the cleanliness and maintenance of the place - yikes!!!!!!!! The carpet is stained (everywhere) and SMELLY!!!! The vents are BLACK with dirt and RIGHT OVER where they make the food Went to the bathroom to wash my hands, my feet stuck to the floor b/c I'm quite sure they were using the same cleaning water from 2002, and I'm fairly confident that's the water they used to cook the rice. The wallpaper is being held up with making tape and (I know this is petty but it's part of the overall environment) there were two Renusit air freshener ON the toilet - they didn't help! This place was clearly purchased from a Caribbean or nautical theme to restaurant as the rope around the interior support polls and lime green coloring throughout was still evident. The only positive was the service - very attentive, friendly and welcoming (this the 2 stars and not 1). My friends recommended this place to me. Clearly my friends like to lie to me! My first clue should have been the broken window when you first walk in! $100 in PineSol and wallpaper and a $30 rug cleaner rental would go a LONG way in this place as this place is desperately in need of a thorough cleaning! Pre-pandemic this was our (brother and I) go to place for all you can eat sushi. I understand that some things had to change, and we were still able to support them since they had a drive thru. We decided that Chopsticks would be our first place to eat in person once we got vaccinated/opened for in room dining, but we've noticed a down-trend in both the drive-thru and in-person dining/food. Capped by what happened today. So we arrived around 4:20 this afternoon for all you can eat sushi. The entire time we were there, my brother and I were the only customers dining in. There were 2 to go orders and 1-2 drive thru (aka, not busy). We were brought two menus and 1 sushi order form, and the girl seemed confused when we asked for a second sushi order form. I noticed our last two visits that (1) they tend to mix our orders together and (2) I was fairly certain each time we weren't getting the entire order, so I wanted to see if separate sushi order forms helped. First, drinks. When she came to ask what we wanted to drinks, I said iced tea and my brother asks what type of sodas they had, to which she responded "Ok" and walked off. Not telling my brother the options. He ended up with a Pepsi which he isn't a fan of. We each order appetizers and sushi from the sushi order form. The appetizers were as ordered and tasted fine/normal, but the sushi is where the issue started: Brother ordered: 3 salmon and 1 shrimp sushi (the single pieces), 3 salmon rolls. I ordered: 1 salmon, 1 tuna, 1 yellowfin, 1 shrimp, and 1 eel sushi, spicy tuna roll, oshinko roll, 1 other roll I forgot their name for, and 1 spicy crab handroll (instead of cut into pieces looks like a cone). What we got was: 2 salmon sushi, 2 shrimp sushi, 1 salmon roll, 1 spicy crab as a sushi roll, and the one I forget the name (shrimp tempura inside, spicy tuna outside). That's about half to two-thirds of the order missing. We also were not given the little dishes to put the soy sauce in. At first, we thought they had given us part to start with while they finished the rest. Then I quickly noticed the man making the sushi was not at the counter and never reappeared. I could hear something being made in the kitchen and assumed at first he was in helping; the rest of the staff/family were sitting at a side table. We then realized the rest of the order was obviously not getting made. One of the staff approached when they saw we were done and asked if we wanted another form. I informed them politely and clearly that most of our order was missing, to which she seemed confused. It would have been very easy at this time to bring our order forms back and we could point out what was missing, or talk to the man making the sushi to see what he had made vs was ordered, etc. She did neither. To her credit, she did ask verbally what was missing, but it was clear after we tried to tell her there was communication errors happening. Eventually I said I was fine, but my brother did want his last two salmon rolls. She went back over and informed the sushi man, and other parts of the staff/family that part of the order was never made, to which he seemed confused and others crowded around the computer/bill/form to take a look. The last two rolls were brought over, then the bill. No one came to talk or clear up what happened, if there was anything they could do to fix or compensate and we were charged in full (for all you can eat when we ended up with 2-3 rolls only each). On one hand, I didn't want to cause trouble or a scene, but it seems to be a repeating trend in our visits. On the other hand, to not check out the problem, try to fix it, or offer some small gesture (make the rest to take home, discount our bill, ice cream, something) seems a bit off. read more

I moved up here from Middletown, so this place is really close to me. I thought it wasn't so bad at first, but everything changes I guess. They have their kids working, I guess that's a thing for Chinese food or Japanese restaurants, even ordering to go they give you a lot less. Two different times I've had the miso soups and one had absolutely nothing in it. Basically just broth. Another time it tasted like it was sitting in the pot too long. The prices for all you can eat skyrocketed after I guess covid which is insane. Seafood is cheaper than meat but I guess that'll be. The Chinese food isn't the best either. They don't have alcohol or cocktails which they should definitely try to do. That'll bring in more people as long as it's decent. read more

I was always a regular here, despite the fact that the owners can be very rude and even had a screaming argument match in the kitchen once that all the customers could hear. The food was always so good...however, lately it has gone downhill and tonight I ordered my usual salmon sushi and it was gross... the color was off and the texture was mush. I get the all-you-can-eat option and my wife gets a roll usually. We sat on the same side of a booth table for more space because we were next to the front door. Finally found my favorite Sushi spot. I get that craving for good Sushi, this is the place. Affordable. Good quality and quantity. The ingrdients were fresh. Favorite was the Salmon Roll. Deliscious and fresh. Customer service was attentative. Small and cozy place. Peaceful and quiet. I tip my hat to the people in the kitchen. They are doing it right. Beatiful presentation of the Sushi. Appetizing to the eyes and my tastebuds. I went with the Sushi Buffet, pretty much all you can eat. Its a everyday special there. Honestly this might be the most honest review that you will read due to the fact that I have both worked here and served here as a waitress. When I first came here the service was horrible and that's why I decided to apply at chopsticks. I worked there for 2 years and during the two years I have lost several regular customers due to my ex bosses behavior. It was overall unprofessional and non welcoming to people who are spending a good amount of their money on food there. For the All You Can Eat she is constantly watching over your plate and only allowing the sushi guys to make half of the rolls in case of waste when there is already a 30% surcharge added if you waste causing customers to complain to me and become frustrated. Every-time she comes inside the restaurant there is never a time where she is not screaming whether it be at her family or on the phone. I feel like In this business they are penny pinchers there should be on reason that someone spends 100+ dollars on food and still has to pay 2 dollars for an extra sauce. With that being said working here I was robbed of my at least half of my tips when I first got to this restaurant I was told that the sushi guy would receive 10% of my card tip which I was originally fine with. As the days went on 10% turned to 50% going to the restaurant. I tried to get my parents involved even on a simple phone call but all I was told is that If I don't want to work there they can replace me. I feel as though me bussing my ass at this restaurant everyday and having to deal with a hostile and unprofessional environment already that just wasn't an appropriate response coming from the owner when a employee is trying to address their concern.
