Arianna, our server was very attentive! This was my first time and I felt like I was on vacation. Our view was like looking at a rainbow and reminded me to breathe. The calamari tacos with the guacamole was a perfect combination to hit my mouth. And, I did eat 90% of my flan.

This is such a cozy little spot. Beautiful views. Cool staff. We came for happy hour right at 3 and the bar was already packed with regulars. We sat at a table and they let us still have happy hour, which was cool. We got the tortillas soup, and the albondigas. The soups are solid. Flavorful. Served really hot. No notes. Our server was super helpful and very attentive. They have good happy hour specials. We didn't get margs, but I imagine with so many, they have to be good. Parking is tough. Valet only. Or find a spot on the PCH. Casual. Fun. Festive. Lots of locals. A great little gem.

Four stars for the comfortable vibe and great view. Salsa is super good, chips could use salt though. Food is okay, not fantastic but not bad either. Tasted a little bland, could be me, but isn't that what Yelp is about...opinions? Service was good, female waitress was really nice, the gentleman we had was probably having an off day...other than that, I'd be back, would recommend.

Dayyyym! I am so pleasantly surprised by my first visit here. It is straight up on pch. There is a view to die for. Having said that, it is comfy, beachy casual which I love. No frills family friendly vibes. Great news, there is valet parking! It's only 4 dollars. Very convenient and affordable. We sat on the semi open patio. We timed it perfectly for sunset! It was beautiful. For the food, the chips and salsa were fresh and delicious! They have happy hour everyday from 3-6. Only 8.50 for house margaritas. The food was discounted a few dollars too for happy hour. You can not beat the prices! The show stopper was the crispy shredded beef tacos. The meat was juicy, flavorful and like stew. I loved the shredded beef!!!! We also had beans, rice, salad and enchiladas. We all loved our food. The service was quick, friendly and attentive. We may become regulars.

I used to come to Coyote Grill all the time after taking my kids to the beach. Although many years have passed, and my kids are full grown adults, Coyote Grill continues to be a great choice at the beach for a fantastic meal. I followed the reviews and got the fruit plate to share - which was so fresh and delicious! I had never been here for breakfast, and it did not disappoint. It was delicious! I got a carne asada tamale with eggs and it was fabulous! We had a 15 minute wait because we wanted to be out on the patio. Valet parking is a great deal and makes it stress free in not having to worry about parking. Service was fantastic. I can't wait to go back soon! The photo is the view from the patio.

We enjoyed those calamari tacos and a cheese enchiladas. The service was very nice and very helpful. The view is amazing. The food looks wonderful, so colorful and displayed with full portions. I do believe if I were an East Coast person, the food would have tasted incredible. I think the food is bland and lacks flavor. It looks great, but doesn't have that passion or flare of a professional chef making it. It is just Okay.

Coyote Grill is my favorite spot for birthdays, celebrations, Sunday brunch, or just a random Tuesday. Their patio is to die for and we always try to get a reservation for it, sometimes we even see whales :) Service is quick and their staff is happy to please. My parents love their breakfast as they have both Mexican and American options, but their dinner menu is fabulous too!

This is such a casual cute restaurant with the best view on the patio. I made reservations and requested the patio specifically. Parking is valet $4 cash only. Service was fast & friendly. I got the chicken enchilada & the cheese enchilada, both great. Came with rice and beans. Also ordered a side of tortilla soup. Everything came out hot & was tasty. Would recommend this spot to anyone!

Seated right away on a Friday mid morning. Nice little place. I live in Tucson, one of my fav dishes is chilaquiles - decided to give it a try and not my favorite. Sauce tasted canned. My husband ordered the Beef Machaca, which was ok. Hard to compare when we've had the best. Michelada's were mixed just right, not overly tomato flavor.

If you want to have the best margarita and service in town come to Coyote Grill! Mark makes a mean margarita that's sure to impress. A local gathering spot with spectacular ocean views and great atmosphere. Epic happy hour and delicious food. You will not be disappointed. Cheers!

Pitcher of skinny margs was so good. Also their guac was very fresh and I'm still thinking about those calamari tacos! So good!

Wow! Came in with my finance for Taco Tuesday Happy Hour. Great drink specials with premium tequila. The Coyote Taco is amazing, no wonder it's rated the best in OC. Stephen was great at recommendations and service. We will be back Thank you Stephen, you made our night!

    Any Taco Tuesday specials?

When will you start offering lobster?

Hello Katy! Generally for us it would be the first or second Wednesday in October. Once we hear from our fisherman, we'll have a better idea. FYI, once it does become available you could call us in advance and reserve them!

    Is there parking available?

We have a $2 cash only valet lot provided by a separate company. Everything else is street parking!

    Is there valet parking?

I have seen valet parking available, but not used it. We park up the street and walk.

Do they have Puerto Nuevo style lobster?

To put it simply: this is the kind of place Laguna has been missing. From the moment we walked in, the energy felt dialed-in in a way that immediately reminded me of a Hillstone experience -- polished but not pretentious, lively but still intimate. That balance is incredibly hard to execute, and Nix nails it. For context, I'm part owner of 230 Forest Avenue, so I don't say this lightly: Nix easily lands in my top five in Laguna Beach. We started with Aperol spritzes (perfectly balanced, not overly sweet), along with a couple of appetizers -- including a fried asparagus dish that was addictive in the best way. Crisp, flavorful, and gone way too quickly. For mains, I ordered the veggie burger, which was genuinely one of the best I've had -- hearty, well-seasoned, and thoughtfully constructed (not an afterthought, which vegetarian options so often are). My boyfriend had the noodle salad, which was fresh, vibrant, and layered with flavor. But beyond the food, what really stood out was the overall experience. The atmosphere feels intentional , great music, beautiful crowd, and a buzz that makes you want to linger. It's the kind of place where dinner effortlessly turns into drinks, and drinks turn into "should we just stay a little longer?" Laguna Beach doesn't have a ton of restaurants that hit this level across the board -- food, service, ambiance, and energy, but Nix absolutely does. We'll be back, and soon.

Then came the artichoke appetizer and the soup of the day... and honestly, I could've stopped there and been happy. But we powered through like professionals and went for a late lunch entrée, the Chilean sea bass- and WOW. Worth every bite. And shoutout to our server and the entire staff, total pros. Super polished, attentive, and clearly know what they're doing without being over the top. If you're looking for amazing food with a cool, laid-back vibe, Nick's is your spot. The food was all so delicious. For appetizers we ordered the White Mexican Shrimp & Chilean Sea Bass Ceviche, the Rosemary Focaccia Bread, and a cup of their Seafood Chowder. The Ceviche was fresh and packed with flavor. The Focaccia was so fluffy and was served with a delicious whipped honey butter. For my entree I ordered the Short Rib Pappardelle. The chunk of short rib was massive and the creme fraise really tied all the elements of the dish together. My friends ordered the Wild Caught Chilean Sea Bass and American Wagyu Beef Burger. Both were yummy. Overall the food, service, and ambiance were top notch. Will definitely be back.

The main patio was covered with umbrellas, so once you are seated for dinner, there was plenty of umbrellas for shade and heaters for when it got a little cooler. For our food orders, and as recommended by our server, we went with their seafood options and ordered their Pacific Ceviche for an appetizer and for Entrees my husband got the Roasted Halibut and me and my mother-in-law both got the Scallop and Shrimp pasta. Secondly, the service and wait staff is impeccable. We received great recommendations, attentiveness, professionalism, and hospitality. We never had to ask for anything because our needs were anticipated. Lastly, the food, we ordered several different things. The lobster bisque, Parkhouse rolls, octopus, the special of the day, which was tuna Hamachi. We also ordered the scallops, mushrooms, green beans, mashed potatoes and sea bass. The items that stood out the most were the lobster bisque. the Parkhouse rolls, the Seabass, the scallops and the Hamachi tuna. I was taken back that the octopus was fried and it was tough and had an interesting flavor. I'm used to octopus legs being grilled and tender, so I was quite disappointed with that. We also ordered a couple of cocktails that we weren't thrilled about. The flavors didn't work well together in the drink, but I did like how the glasses were ice cold I just wish the cocktails were more impressive. I feel like that's the gift and the curse. When you have a restaurant that is oceanfront. Typically oceanfront restaurants their food isn't that great because it doesn't have to be because of the ambience. The only place I've ever been where they had the oceanfront location and the food was amazing was Nobu Malibu specifically.
