    Spicy egg biscuit sandwich

Ivéta has the BEST scones. 5 star scones. So moist. Yet crumbly. How do they do it? Their other food is good too. Coffee is also good. Portions are small. This space is surprising because it's in a mostly industrial area, but they actually have a rather pleasant outdoor patio. (And indoor tables too). I think the lack of 5th star really is the price. It's spendy. And yes it is good, but still feels a bit much.

    Breakfast burrito

The cafe is hard to spot off Delaware, but the directions were accurate and there were several available parking places. The cafe has indoor and outdoor seating, which seemed clean and well cared for. Music was playing at a comfortable volume and the layout seemed well thought out, with a long bar and sets of tables for two people to sit comfortably. They have decaf expresso, but not a large range of decaf options, and a selection of baked goods. Food arrived in good time and ordering was easy. Water was available to self collect and the cups were clean. The food was decent, but unremarkable. The chipotle burrito is cheese, eggs, and pan fried potato. The breakfast burrito is egg, spinach, and some tomato, like an omelette in burrito form. Despite being a perfectly decent cafe, it's location means it's up against some tough comparisons from Verve, Cat and Cloud, and 11th Hour. I think the food and drink of Cat and Cloud are superior, but I would consider Iveta for the atmosphere, as I found the seating and music volume more comfortable.

I love Iveta! Their pasties and baked goods are the best in Santa Cruz! I also love their breakfast items but typically opt for sweets. Their coffee is the best too and is made with an extra kick for those slow morning. I love the take home scone mix as well, tastes just like in store and even better when they're fresh out the oven. The service is great. Always quick and welcoming. There are so many seating options but my favorite is upstairs or outside.

super cute cafe & bakery with a chill vibe. Two floors of seating indoors as well as outdoor patio.

Spicy Biscuit Sandwich & Lox Toast
    Chandra R.

I found this place on Yelp and decided to stop by for a quick bite to eat before heading to the beach. We ordered the Lox Toast, Spicy Biscuit Sandwich, Scrambled Egg Sandwich with Bacon, Strawberry lemonade and a Salted Caramel Latte. Pros: -Lox Toast & Sandwiches we're delicious (clean and simple ingredients always taste amazing together) -Staff was friendly -Lots of outdoor seating Cons: -The service was pretty slow (waited over 25 minutes for our toast/sandwiches) and I saw a lot of staff just standing there sipping their coffee drinks and on their phones while they were working. -The strawberry lemonade tasted like plain ice water with barely a squeeze of lemon which was basically from the sliced chunks of lemons in the drink. There was a light pink tinge from whatever strawberry purée they may have put in there but you could not taste the strawberry or any sweetness at all. -The Salted Caramel Latte did not have any sweetness either and had only a salty taste. I did not taste any caramel at all. I would come back for the sandwiches but the drinks were not what I expected them to be.

Yummy bakery and great sandwiches. Must try scones. Very laid back atmosphere. Breakfast sandwiches are so good.

We were hunting for a solid breakfast spot and honestly weren't sure from the outside. But the moment we walked in to a warm welcome and were seated right away, we knew we'd picked the right place. My grandson -- who can be a bit high‑energy -- was treated like a little gentleman. Seeing him enjoy himself let me actually relax and enjoy my own breakfast: a massive plate of French toast so good I couldn't even finish it. Linda's Sea Breeze Café is the kind of place that wins you over fast. I'd recommend it to anyone looking for a great start to their day.

We got there about 10 am and had a bit of a wait with people continuously arriving so it's clearly popular. You write your name down and request inside or out or first available. It was a bit chilly so we opted for inside. We were seated after about 20 minutes. It's pretty small inside so the addition of the picnic tables outside is a plus. We all ordered different items, sausage and eggs, bacon and eggs and blueberry pancakes. The egg breakfasts came with a side of either toast, a pumpkin muffin or a cinnamon roll. We ordered a muffin and a roll. The food arrived fairly quickly which was good because after a 2 hour drive we were ready to grub. The egg breakfasts were pretty average in taste and portion. The blueberry pancakes however were good a good size and came with 3. I did think the pumpkin muffin was fire and my bf said the cinnamon roll was excellent so maybe it's their baked goods that are part of what makes this place so popular? I didn't think the amount of food we got was that much of a value as it was a $60 breakfast. Other downsides for me was the parking situation which is common in SC. We found a spot about 2 blocks away. Also, the bathroom is outside and in dire need of a makeover. Lastly, they don't take cards. It's cash or check only. WTH? I haven't seen a restaurant take checks since I was a kid so that's been a minute, lol. Overall I can't really see myself returning other than to get the pumpkin muffin or cinnamon roll. Maybe I just need to try something different.

The service was outstanding! I wish I could remember our server's name--she had shoulder-length dark hair and such a bubbly personality. We were there on Thursday evening (7/23/26). I think her name may have been Kaylie. She truly made our experience even better. The food was delicious! We both had the prime rib, and it was cooked perfectly. I'd rate it a 4.8 out 5 (only because a little too much fat)--very flavorful and definitely something I'd order again. Parking was a bit challenging, but that's honestly the only minor downside. If you're planning to visit, I highly recommend requesting a table on the patio. We didn't this time, but after seeing the view, we'll definitely do that on our next visit. Overall, it was a wonderful 5-star experience from start to finish. Thank you for a memorable evening--we'll definitely be back!

My partner, J does something similar with her entree selection. The steaks look good, our waitress suggests the Halibut with the Chardonnay Cream sauce served over polenta but after due consideration she orders the Sand Dabs. Again. As she always does. I enjoyed the Halibut and J the sand dabs but we ended up swapping plates to get both of us a bite of each entree. We brought in a Bargetto 2024 Viognier from an earlier in the day tasting which complemented both dishes and finished with a rich Ollaliebery pie slice ala mode. Pro tip: Get a window seat a couple of hours before dusk on a midsummer night and watch the boats entering the harbor at sunset. Who needs variety when the standards are served so well!

I asked to get a small portion of fries and salad like I usually do (they would split the portion so it's smaller for each) and the chef/manager denied it. I spoke to him mentioning how this has not been an issue over the past year I have been coming here. The guy asked me to sit down at a table with him to explain portion sizes and the guy had slurred speech and an extremely strong smear of liquor radiating from him. I asked if he is on the clock and he said I will be in a few minutes. Doesn't seem like a good idea to be wasted at work. This guy has created some very good tasting foods (hence why I like to return) and the prices are reasonable. The owner is a super sweet gal and you can tell she's pouring her heart and soul into this spot. It has a perfect view of the harbor while you enjoy some good eats. Even though this guy was wasted today, it won't detour me from returning for the 5 star food flavors! He later came to my table as I am indulging in a burger that explodes with flavor and apologized for being brash. I shook his hand and told him there are no hard feelings. I complimented him on his menu, flavors of the foods, and told him we will still be coming in.
