I've been really hesitant to book a nail appointment since I typically get mine done in Asia (they don't rush the process, pay close attention to detail and are gentle throughout the entire process). After many months of looking on the internet and looking at reviews, I was recommended to Aperson, and everyone said to book with Tina. I actually booked her super last minute for my first appointment with her and she exceeded all expectations! She was really quick and yet so gentle, thorough and helpful with choosing colors (something I am very anxious about as it's something that stays on my nails for 1+ months at a time). The shop itself is really cute and cozy; I think working with such a small studio, you really need to find the right decor and furniture -- and it's really nice! The place is comfortable and set up in a way that eases your mind. Suffice to say, I'm so glad I found her! I booked my second and third appointment already -- just had our second appointment a few weeks ago and am about to go in for my third soon. She's really patient and gives great advice on what colors or styles work together. I'm really excited for our next appointment because I'm really going out of my comfort level and getting an intricate design for the first time, but I fully trust Tina will make it all work together. This was my first time at this salon and it was with Tina. This place is a different experience where they focus on cleaning up cuticles and (I assume) nail designs (I didn't get nails designs just a simple gel manicure) because it was a quick appointment. Cleaning up cuticles and then straight to the gel polish. No massaging or anything like that. I still would go back again even though that part of the experience was not part of it and even though the appointment felt rushed. That is, if my cuticles and nails hold up nicely for a good amount of time. Maybe if my appointment wasn't at the end of the day it wouldn't have been so rushed. Tina was very nice though and as with everything else there are pros and cons but again, I do see myself going back again. read more

Been here twice and I love the location. I got a gel x removal with a Russian manicure and then I got cat eye nails with hard gel. Prices are fair with other shops The owner is very nice, easy to talk too. The quality of work is just ok, hence why 3 starts (explanation below) After I got my Russian manicure my finger beds were pretty rough, and I kept getting little rips around my nails. My hands are usually pretty dry, but the manicure made my cuticles and nail beds worse. Wouldn't get again. Another time I went in, I got hard gel and cat eye nails for an extra 20$, and overall I'm satisfied. However about 2 weeks in, They started to chip already.. I also had to file one down because it kept getting caught on fabric. For the price I paid (35$ deposit, 70 for the nails + 20$ for cat eye) I don't think they should've chipped so quickly and I shouldn't have to be filing them down the same week. Also, she is pretty rough with the filing - I don't think I've ever had my nails filed so aggressively before. I am open to giving this spot a few more tries as it's down the street from my house, so hoping things get better with time. read more

I've been to Tina twice here at Aperson Nail Studio for my Korean/japanese hard gel manicures! I'm so relieved to have found a friendly and efficient nail artist. She's located in the Sola Salons at Serramonte so although it might get busy in the mall, there's plenty of parking available usually! Tina was able to replicate the nail inspo pics I'd provide her with perfectly, while adding her little twist to each design! It really only took her about an hour or a little over an hour for each manicure. Longevity wise, I haven't had any issues with bad lifting and my nails stayed looking fresh until my next appointment! Booking with Tina was relatively easy, and she takes many forms of payment. Price wise, I will say it is a bit on the pricier but reasonable side. After all, I don't mind paying for quality and a relaxing experience! I plan on coming back to Tina in the future!!! read more

Tina is your girl if you want those instagram perfect nails. I found her because I'm really passionate about keeping my nails healthy, long, and natural and the only way to do that is with hard gel. Not only that, I needed someone who has an eye for design and Tina is a nail magician. She and I are on the same boat when it comes to nail health. I have gotten 2 hard gel sets with Tina so far and they have come out better than the inspo pics I bring her. Her eye for design, her perfectionism, her vast collection of gels and gems will keep me coming monthly. Retention is perfect, no lifting at all and even better that the top coat shine is there even by week 4. The quality of her work and materials speaks for itself. HUGE plus that she does removal, hard gel fill and design all within 1.5 hours. I can't recommend her enough and she is so conveniently located at Sola in Serramonte Mall. Her appointment schedule is so transparent online and easy to access. So glad I found her, worth every penny. I didn't know what to expect during my first time, but overall pretty satisfied. I didn't know the difference between soft and hard gel. She gave me a mini crash course. She designed the winter nails for me, and she was really friendly. The salon was also new with a lot of colors to choose from. She took under 2 hours to do my nails which made this experience even better. It usually takes an hour and a half for nails whenever I did my nails in Japan with designs. Found Aperson through my IG algo. I've been looking for an asian nail artist who is local, for some time. I had tried a few different places but none of them were quite "it" for various reasons. Then I gave Aperson a try. Her prices are high but for the quality of work and in the US, what can you expect? It's more than fair. Especially considering just how much care she puts into the set. I went in with a general idea of what I wanted and showed her my inspo. She convinced me to try extension (for the first time) and I was game. She put so much attention to my nail prep that I KNEW she was going to be good. My nails were not in great shape when I came in and she was meticulous with her prep work to make sure the new art wouldn't damage my natural nails. No regrets. Big fan of Tina's work!!! I've tried many nail salons before and I just couldn't find one who does such a clean job until I found Tina. She really takes her time shaping the nail, working on the design, and cleaning the cuticles (i have VERY dry hands and cuticles). I used to get gel extensions ALL the time until she put me on gel builder. My nails were so thin and weak before she started doing my nails. Now i don't need extensions anymore because my real nails have grown so strong, i've never had a broken nail from her work. The first gel ex set she did on me lasted over a month, and I went on vacation with those nails and went swimming a lot! If my nails didn't grow so fast I'm sure I can keep them even longer than 5 weeks! I haven't gone anywhere else since I started going to Aperson Nail Studio. Super professional, detailed, and puts out amazing work. I've been coming to Tina for hard gel mani's since the beginning of the year, and have been loving every design she's done for me each month! Booking with her is straightforward using her booking site, and all her instructions are clear and precise. Her room at Sola is very clean and she even has snacks, cushions, and a couple phone stands to make sure you're comfortable while you're there. I went here recently and I have been looking for a nail place close to where I live. I have been to every single nail place but I decided to try Tina because she is in the same place as my lashes. I also found out she was a nail person that my cousin has gone to before! Tina is sooo good. I was able to tell her my vision of my nails and she executed it beautifully. I always struggled to find someone who can do intricate designs. The quality of the nails is so good and her work is so clean. Also she did my nails in a reasonable time. Obsessed!! I came here on a whim after seeing all the cute designs on Instagram, and I'm SO glad I did. The vibe is super chill; great music, the salon is spotless, and she is genuinely so sweet. TLDR: Avoid this place!…read more I came to Sunny twice - once to get my nails done and then weeks later to get the hard gel removed. Both times I had a negative experience. I only returned the 2nd time because Sunny made a big fuss about how other nail techs don't know how to take off products carefully but she does....boy was she WRONG. Sunny is unfriendly, rude, judgemental, and likes to argue. She has been late both times to my appointments as well. I got tip extensions because I wanted a little length. She expected me to have my nails super long but I asked her to cut a lot shorter and she got mad and proceeded to argue with me. I asked her to remove the tips so I can leave, because I don't want her doing what she's not comfortable with and I don't want to get something I didn't ask for. She refused and kept arguing and then ultimately said she would do what I asked for (I sent pictures beforehand, asked questions, and she accepted my request and scheduled me). She assumed I wanted an almond shape but I told her I wanted square, and she got annoyed and mentioned most of her clients prefer almond. She's pretty rough on the hands and nails, and doesn't carefully file the nails. She charges extra for a manicure, but she literally spent a couple minutes "cleaning" my cuticles. When it came to the design, she complained about how she doesn't do "American style" and only does Asian style...and how she usually doesn't do custom nails for first-time clients. Why book me knowing what I asked for and then proceed to complain the entire time? This was the sh*ttiest nail experience. She painted my nails pretty sloppily and then complained how it took her so long to do my nails. In the end, she started rushing because she was running behind and her next appt was already waiting (she yelled at them to wait outside and stop knocking). I returned to Sunny to remove the hard gel because she knows what products she uses and repeatedly has stated in the past that she knows how to do this carefully. My natural nails had grown longer and I wanted to keep the length but they were so brittle by the end she just cut it off and then shaped it round...barely asking and confirming. She doesn't use clean or sanitized tools...and she reuses the same nail filer with all clients. She did such an awful job filing off the hard gel and got too much of my natural nails ans even left scratches and dents in my nailbed. My nails were SO sensitive and are still sensitive (writing this weeks later). When she got down to the tips, she just flicked them off with her fingers and it ended up ripping off and further damaging my nailbeds. I had to trim my nails when I got home because the new growth was so flimsy and weak. I continue to trim my nails bc my entire nail bed is overfilrd amd messed up. This is the worst state my nails have been in and I can't believe I paid $30 for someone to damage my nails. Avoid this place and give business to nail techs who actually have customer service and care about a clients' nails.

I enjoy the Vietnamese coffee that they offer while you get your nails done. They do rush sometimes but i do get that they get pretty busy. There are people i've seen who does a really good job like Jennifer, Na, Daisy, & recently seen John's work even though i haven't had mine done from him. Tracy is also so nice to us when we come & always check in with us if we need anything done.
