Fish tacos were very disappointing.. they used to be great and just how they look on their menu pictures. Now it contains mostly tortillas (2) as seen on the picture. I was there today and loved it. My first visit and they being a bit crowded I didn't expect great service. I was wrong. It was above and beyond. My daughter and I both ordered ala-cart got cheese enchiladas, carnita tacos, chile rellenos. It was the best. Asked for recommendations from server and still could not make up our minds. Usually do but this was so incredible probably will just continue to order the same thing every time, it was that good. I have drove by before and seen 3 block long lines. The music was a tad to loud for talking but after the food came that made no difference because it was all about the food then. I came to Ixtapa during the lockdown and sat on the patio. We ordered the Aguachiles and a shrimp cocktail and they were delicious. Service was good. The 2nd time I came i ordered aguachiles to go for a pool party the lady on the phone was super nice and helpful! When I came to pick up my food they were extra friendly and helpful! Great service! Seriously though I normally reserve my opinions for a 2nd or 3rd visit just because most often things aren't great but I like to think maybe they just had an "off" day but in this case the food was superb! Seriously! Everything was fresh and perfectly seserved. My husband had the "vuelve a la vida" seafood cocktail and I had the shrimp tacos. Everything was prepared perfectly. I was surprised because I know right now during covid most places have gone down slightly in service and while this was my 1st time here, I must say I was pleasantly surprised. I usually don't like margaritas from Mexican seafood places. They just don't have the right flavor but here the Margarita was on point. I don't know if it was just my dish but it was the worst everrrr!! So I ordered shrimp enchiladas. The shrimp were so tiny like if they were from the cuponoddles the tortillas weren't even cooked. They were so dry. If I'm going to pay good money for my food I expect it good at least. Like I said I don't know if it was only my dish and maybe try a different dish. Let's start off with management, Samuel Paramo is very attentive and friendly. He greeted us with a smile and sat us down. The food is excellent. We tried la torre de mariscos (can't remember which one) and the taste reminded of my hometown Sinaloa. Beer is as cold as it gets for a very reasonable price. There was a very entertaining show with imitators, from Juan Gabriel to paquita la del barrio. The experience has brought me back multiple times.
