I took my oldest out with me here for our first visit to purchase a gift card for his teacher and have him pick out something for his birthday, if there was anything. This store had a great selection and variety of merchandise and a dedicated area for table top games. This dedicated area does required a fee paid to access and staff can explain more if interested. The gentleman that help my child and I was so welcoming, friendly, and knowledgeable. In addition to purchasing the gift card, I also bought my child's first die set of his own. If you have someone who has strong interests in gaming - especially games like Dungeons and Dragons, Magic The Gathering, etc. - this is a great place to purchase gifts. The shop blocks off almost all the space for official events, but then barely anyone even shows up for them. You look around and see rows of empty tables reserved for nothing, while regular paying groups who actually brought people have absolutely nowhere to sit.We even asked nicely if we could use the empty space, but the staff just told us we should rent out the private room instead. What a joke--that room is already booked solid anyway, and it costs a ton of money. It sucks because we loved the vibe, but it's a total waste of time to pack up our games and drive over just to get turned away. They really need to fix how they manage space on event nights.

Not only was the place clean, but they had good pricing, and the most pleasant staff I've ever interacted with in a game store! My wife even informed me that this is the most comfortable she's felt interacting with folks in a Game Store. My most favorite thing they sold, that my wife and I bought 3 of, was custom pre-made decks, one for MTG Commander, and two for Star Wars Twin Suns. I've never seen a Game Store sell custom pre-made decks constructed by the staff. Really cool concept that more stores should do! I hope to come back to Arizona just so I can give them more of my business.

Got in touch with the shop and gave me a price of $285 + $90+ for shipping. I was shopping around and found a brand new one on eBay for $250 + $22.95 for shipping. This shop kept reaching out for status on purchase to a point where they were nagging me. After committing to a new one, the shop responded "thanks for wasting our time." This is unacceptable behavior and all they care is about closing a sale vs giving right customer service. Avoid this store as their are others out there that provide better service.

I've been going to your store for many years and I had referred a friend of mine to your store…read morebecause of your wide selection of rare and obscure toys and things that you carry that that the other shops do not carry my friend had quite a few items to trade in including some vintage Star Wars Beast Wars action figures and a few other odds and ends the associate asks my friend what he wants on his collection and my friend throws him an offer of 2 to $300 and so the associate goes in the back and either talks to his manager or the owner he proceeds to tell my friend that they can offer him under $100 for the stuff so they ended up negotiating for like $70 and the guy said well most of your figures are incomplete they don't have their accessories I really felt that the offer was too low even for a business knowing that they do have to make money so then I hear from my friend that the toy box posted and bragged about obtaining his collection on Facebook and that really put a sour taste in my mouth and the sad part was is he was going in and tending on trying to get store credit so he could purchase something they don't do that I've never heard of it but terribly disappointed with how they lowball people my friend had a lot of stuff and the one thing that they said was the most valuable they didn't even highlight it on Facebook I feel like this is wrong and I feel like they should have offered him something more at least a credit they should make this right but terribly disappointed

Calvin and Emmet were working, and they could not have been more welcoming. They invited me to sit at one of the tables so I could watch the game while sorting thru a bunch of boxes. I thanked them for not sweating people who are just trying to find some gold. One of the young men went and got me a cold water and we talked ball for a while as I continued to search. All in all it just feels like the old school shops when you could go in and look for what you like, instead of being pushed out of the way for people buying thousand dollar cards. One other thing I'd like to point out, is they will take a look at anything you feel like parting ways with. Saw a couple different people come in, and the staff gave them fair and honest pricing and advice, instead of belittling them or offering them well under comps. This place is also located in a cool part of downtown phoenix, so you can park for free near the park, walk to the shop, then check into some of the local eateries and bars!
