I made an appointment to have 2 tires put on my truck. I dropped my truck off and was told it would take around 30 minutes and that I was the next to go in. Im a single mom and had my toddler with me so I was glad it would be a quick appointment. After an hour and a half of walking around downtown in the freezing cold with my 3 year old I went back to shop. THE OWNER TOLD ME THEY COULDN'T GET TO MY TRUCK TODAY!! He never bothered to call to inform me either!! Was this guy going to let me wander around all day?? I wasted an entire morning in the freezing cold with my toddler. Not to mention I had to load my own huge tires into the truck and back out again. Complete disregard for my time! I will never go back. read more

I had scheduled an appointment to get tires replaced for my daughter. When I made the appointment I had expressed I knew nothing about tires and some of them could still be good. And that we'd like to keep any good tires. My mother, a senior citizen, ended up taking the car as my daughter and i had to work. They replaced all the tires and kept the ones we had on the car. I then found out that there were a couple that were brand new. They never said a word. When I called they didn't even apologize. My guess would be they sold them, though they said they were just too busy to notice. I find that hard to believe. I hate to leave a bad review, especially at this time, but they clearly took advantage of my mom, who always recommends them. I will never return. read more

J&K does not use quality parts. I brought our SUV in for service in 2015, had front sway bar links replaced. Again in 2017, front sway bar links needed replacement. Its now 2018 and front sway bar links need to be replaced again, and Walt decided to charge us for labor, when really the problem is they don't use good parts. I can further verify this because they installed rear calipers on my car, and not too long after I had to take them apart to refurbish them and the pistons inside the calipers didn't match. One side had a piston that was almost too large for the caliper, making it difficult for the brake to even function. In my opinion, if you're going to service your vehicle in the Hudson area, either don't use J&K, or if you have to, supply your own parts. Fair warning. read more

To price some tires after going to a couple different place. The other places told me it would take several days to weeks to get some tires installed. We have used them in the past many times. Three times ago, they must not have attached the protective casing on the bottom of my car and it came loose on the highway! Second time, I believe (they deny) that they didn't properly re-attach (or knocked loose) a water hose and our engine blew by the time it was discovered. Today though? My husband decided to give them another shot. He had them replace tires on a car and when he drove away, the entire tire flew off the car within a mile. Are you kidding me? They are called J&K Tire - you would think they could do ONE THING right. My husband had to call them, have them come, find all the lug nuts that hadn't been put back on properly, bring the car back....you get the picture. He was in danger and he had his time seriously wasted. I am SO unhappy and disgusted. read more

I needed a specific tire for one of my work trucks that no one else had in stock, they didn't either but Walter said he could get me the tires on the same day, (everywhere else I had called told me it would take 5 days to get them) I brought the truck to them and they mounted them. Walt and J&K Tire Company, 118 Main St, Hudson, MA, are tops in our book! We are repeat customers and Walt is our go-to mechanic. All of our experiences have been positive, the most recent being today. My sister's "Check Engine" light came on over the weekend. We brought the car in to J&K this morning. Walt called around 1PM to let us know what they believed the problem was and what the estimated repair cost would likely be (around $600). We told him to go ahead and do the repairs and he told us the car would be ready sometime Tuesday. At about 4:40 PM today (Monday) Walt called to let us know that, 1) the car was done and ready to be picked up, and 2) the repairs were half the price quoted as the car did not need one of the parts originally thought to be needed for repairs. My sister and I are not mechanics; we know nothing about car repairs. A less reputable mechanic could have gone ahead and charged us the $600 that we'd agreed to and we'd have been none the wiser. But not Walt. He is as honest as the day is long and a heck of a nice guy! We highly recommend Walt / J&K Tire for auto repairs and tires! read more

Walter is trustworthy and his prices are fair. The first time I went there, he could have charged me for a new tire and instead charged me a minimal fee for a repair, saving me hundreds. So I went back to him when my SUV needed new tires and they have been great. Today, I brought a used car to him that I just bought for my son, and it was making a noise - Walter fixed it immediately, and charged me very fairly. Another mechanic had made a potentially horrible mistake. His staff is great too - as I was having trouble backing out onto the road, one of his guys made sure I was doing so safely. I came here after having the worst experience EVER at Hogan tire up the road. All I wanted was a snow tire change. The people at Hogan refused to do it saying that the law had changed and they could only replace all four tires at a time. What BS...!!! I went to J&K tire to get my two snow tires put on my car as I've done every year for over 15 years. What a FANTASTIC experience at J&K. I met Walter, the owner, who took very good care of me there. I did not have to make an appointment or anything. I just drove right in, and Walter was standing there in the parking lot. I asked if he could changeover my TWO snow tires, and he said that was no problem. I would highly recommend J&K for any tire work. I also inquired about buying two snow tires for my girlfriends car. He said that was no problem, and gave me a very reasonable price. I will have my girlfriend go to J&K for her tires and oil changes from now on. Walter also told me they do all kinds of repair work, so when my car is out of warranty, I will be going to J&K for all my work. I drove by this place all the time, and never thought about stopping in. I'm sure glad I did today after an AWFUL experience at Hogan Tire up the road. I even made an appointment and asked Hogan if they could replace my TWO snow tires and they said it was no problem, and then I get the run around when I arrive.... I will always go to J&K Tire for all my repairs from now on. Very nice people working there, and they changed the tires very quickly. I could not recommend them enough!!! Life savers!!!! Honestly... I felt so lucky that this happened to be the place that I pulled into in a dire situation of needinghelp to fix my tire pressure gauge that completely snapped off as I tried to fill my low pressure tire (on the way to a client - of course). The guys here were SO nice, above and beyond customer service. They were honest and told me they had a bunch of people ahead of me and it may be a while before they could get to my car. Fabulous place! I had always gone to a "large" store for my tires - setting up a commercial account for business in order to get the best price. When it was time to get tires however, I couldn't make an appointment, I would just bring my car in and get a coupon to go to the mall to shop while I waited. Sometimes, my tires weren't readily available and I would have to wait a few days. Well..... I called J & K because I had a bobcat tire fixed there as well as a trailer tire. I never thought to go there for my vehicle, thinking I was getting the best deal at the big store. Well, I cannot say enough about the personal service, speed and pricing that Walter delivers! I drove in and was immediately met by an employee and that was it! My tires were in stock and I waited 40 minutes for them to be installed. The price was the same if not a bit cheaper!
