I spend a fair amount of time in Texas, and have actively sought out many of the Texas Monthly Top 50 spots. This place would fit right in... perhaps not at the top of the list, but certainly above the bottom! Finding perfect brisket in Everett WA was absolutely not my expectation, yet here it is! I was lucky that the place I intended to go for dinner was closed, or I probably wouldn't have even tried J&L BBQ. I WILL be back, though! The owner was super-nice, knew the difference between point and flat (even some places in TX don't, sadly), and had hands down the BEST Cowboy Caviar I've ever had anywhere, including my own.

The food was good. Jalapeño Cheddar sausage could have had some sear to make it a bit crunchy. Sauce was really good. Overall a decent bbq place. The only thing I would change is the prices, a bit spendy compared to other places With similar menu items.

What a great surprise! We were in snohomish visiting antique shops with relatives from abroad and we were looking for a good lunch option. We were intrigued by this BBQ and decided to give it a shot. We were not disappointed! The guy at the counter was very kind and suggested us to get the 3 meats/3 sides combo for us 4, instead of individual picks, more convenient and enough to feed us all. He was right! We got brisket, pulled pork and ribs, everything was delicious, especially the ribs and the brisket. The place is very small and cute, very cozy. Highly recommended.

WOW! This is the best BBQ food I have EVER had! J & L catered a wedding last night and the food was absolutely perfect!! I took some food to go and can't wait to eat it again today for lunch! The Mac and cheese: perfection. The brisket: perfection. The pulled pork: perfection. The chicken: perfection. The potato salad: perfection. The corn bread and bomb cinnamon infused butter: perfection. I cannot stress enough how bomb it is! I can't wait to go back sometime! And I live in Bonney Lake.

WOW! Thank you so much for the amazing BBQ to celebrate Boss's Day. The brisket and pork were perfect and the sides were amazing. Our staff can't stop talking about our great lunch. Thank you for being such a community-driven and supportive local business. Heather AIM High School

Good Bbq! Brisket was very good, potato salad delish, beans = 10/10. Nice staff. Good beer. Good price. Would definitely go back again to try more of the menu!

This is a great bbq joint. The meat is on point with the char and seasoning. The sauce is sweet and balances out with the meat. The ribs were juicy. What I liked most was the brisket. So tender!

I will travel for this food truck, I HAVE to have that Pulled Pork Bowl again. I have to bring friends so they can partake in its delightful deliciousness. Now, about the Keto. Having been on Keto in the past and studied Keto in depth I can say with certainty that the Pulled Pork Bowl is most definitely not Keto. Onions and the sauce throw it under the Keto bus, it might have sweet pickles on it too, which of course are loaded with carbs, but I might be mistaken as the pickles may be dill. But seriously, if you're looking for a filling, taste sensation that is somewhat low carb, try the Pulled Pork Bowl. You will be happy that you did.

Absolutely delicious and so friendly!…read more I'm on a low carb diet, and here at Boeing we only have so many options for food that falls into that category. I've been following their page for a while, but when I saw their food truck on the map at work today, I HAD to go try them - I was not disappointed!! I ordered the BBQ Chicken Sandwich, but I think I got something in-between that and the Cowboy Grilled Cheese... which was beyond totally fine with me because I wanted to order the Grilled Cheese, but as soon as I walked up I heard that they had sold out! Mind you, they had only been taking orders for about 45 minutes at this point in time. The chicken sandwich that I received was FANTASTIC! The fried chicken (which I believe was pork panko?) was extremely tender and juicy, the fry sauce had amazing flavors, and the frizzled onions gave it a great crunch - add the cheddar cheddar on there and this was EASILY one of the best sandwiches I've ever had... Keto or not!! Pleaaaase keep coming back to Boeing, Best of Both Worlds!

We love Trails End so much that there was no other choice for us when choosing the caterer for our daughter's wedding. The manager was very nice and super helpful and what could have been a big problem on a very busy evening turned into a few minutes of waiting outside on a sunny day. The food was good (WOW - especially the Parmesan Artichoke dip. I expected it to be the usual, creamy dip you get everywhere but this had a hit of garlic that made it SPECTACULAR.) But the BEST part of the evening was our server, Brenton. He was funny, kind, very good at his job, checked in with us at exactly the right times and just generally made the evening a great one. Am rating 4 stars instead of 5 for two reasons: 1) They have no gluten free options. Not a GF bun, bread., pasta nor pizza dough. I understand not having many, but to have no GF choices is just not great these days. My husband with celiac disease had very few options. 2) Need more and reservable outside seating. Especially on the beautiful days (like this one was) - having to sit inside was a big bummer. They had more tables outdoors but we were told those were waiting areas and that we couldn't eat there. Anyway - a good spot and an even better one if they made just a couple changes.

As a vegetarian, my protein option was pesto tofu, while the other options were salmon and tuna. They had all the usual greens and vegetables, and everything was served cold. There were a few in house dressings along with some store bought ones. I tried the balsamic vinaigrette and a honey ginger dressing. It was good, but I think it could be better. My husband ordered the pesto tofu sandwich with Moroccan soup, and that was the highlight. The sandwich was delicious, and his only regret was not getting the full size. The soup was also really flavorful. The place itself feels cozy. The food came out quickly, and we finished everything in no time. Parking is street parking, which might be tricky, especially on weekends. Overall, a good experience. I would definitely come back to try more sandwiches or burgers, but I would probably skip the salad bar next time.

Let me tell you about Lew's BBQ. Or as my husband and I now call it BBQ from the Loo. And before…read moreyou ask yes. It earned that name. Every single letter of it. This place had every opportunity to be the holy grail of down-home BBQ. The kind of spot you drag yourself to when you're too lazy to fire up your own grill but still want to feel like a person with standards. Instead it delivered something far more memorable: profound disappointment wrapped in a paper napkin. The potential was there. The execution? Somewhere between 'bless their heart' and 'what in the actual hell.' We drove from Sultan for this. SULTAN. On a Wednesday. Like optimistic idiots with functioning taste buds and unreasonable hope. We walked in at 3pm to a dining room so empty it felt like a crime scene missing the chalk outline. Not 'peaceful Wednesday afternoon' empty. Not 'hidden gem that hasn't been discovered yet' empty. More like 'did someone die here' empty. The kind of empty that should've been a sign. It was a sign. We ignored it. Now. The meat. OH. THE MEAT. Buried under sauce and not in a 'this is so fire we had to' way. More of a 'if we cover it completely maybe God won't see what we did' situation. Spoiler: God saw. WE saw. The meat was dry lifeless and deeply confused about what year it was. That BBQ had the energy of someone who already put their coat on to leave the party an hour ago but somehow ended up on your plate anyway. The whole meal arrived in to-go containers with plastic forks. Plastic. Forks. The kind that bend before the meat does. I mentioned I'd take leftovers to go. I did not mean 'serve my entire dine-in experience like a sad airport meal.' Nothing says 'welcome to our restaurant' like eating off disposable everything while sitting in an actual building with actual chairs. Now here's where it gets spiritual. A mystery cup of mac and cheese appeared at our table. Uninvited. Unannounced. Like an uninvited relative at Thanksgiving. We thought how sweet! A little gesture! A sample! The universe providing! Narrator: The universe was charging $3.95. That mac and cheese which based on its journey to our table had clearly seen some things. Wasn't terrible but wasn't exceptional. Showed up on the bill. For four bites of mediocre mac that nobody ordered. A complimentary charge. And THEN like the plot needed one more twist when you go to pay on the counter there's a handwritten sign informing you of a $2 per plate/platter upcharge for 'product costs.' No prices on the menu. None. This isn't a scavenger hunt Lew. We're not on a BBQ treasure map. We're hungry people who would like to know what things cost before we eat them. The bill: $95. NINETY. FIVE. DOLLARS. For reheated meat, collard greens and a mac and cheese I did not order but apparently spiritually owed. I still tipped $10. Not out of satisfaction. Out of the deep social paralysis that will haunt me until I die. Look I want Black-owned soul food spots to WIN. Full stop. I am ROOTING for you Lew. But you cannot hide dry confused reheated meat under enough sauce to drown a brisket charge $95 for the experience. You cannot. BBQ from the Loo. I drove from Sultan for this. I will not be back. But I WILL be telling everybody.
