UPDATE: my BMW x5 is now at a BMW shop in NY. Brought them the $1480.00 receipt from JAMS just to find out all sensors i paid to have replaced were never touched!!! They took complete advantage of women and will be heading to court. read more

My husband and I always use Jams, we bring our Lexus and Porsche there for any issues that we have, they take there time and get it done, there honest, they communicate with you along the process, and they always get it fixed. I have been coming to get my car repaired here since 2014. After getting ripped off at other local car repair shops. I went to Joe to get an estimate. Quoted me the proper price for parts n service with a smile. It's a family owned business. They don't try to overcharge you for their excellent work. Basic mechanic rates due apply per hour. After meeting them your friends for life. Rich, is also amazing,friendly and wonderful. In mid December while getting my spark plugs done. I mention to ,Rich that I had NO HEAT in my house for 2 weeks due to a furnace malfunction. Guess, what his response was, I'll come over and fix it for you. He did, and I was super grateful. I have been going to Jams for 10+ years with no real issue for my American & Foreign made car(s). Joe and Rich are stand up guys, treated me and my family fairly and proudly stand by their work. They will take a call most anytime to discuss any issue. Their cost(s) are reasonable and will tell you when a car is not worth investment or time. read more

I bought a car four months ago from these guys..I paid taxes to them on the car..Then had to pay taxes to the DMV. I tried going thru the department of revenue to get my money back..They said Jams has to pay me..Three separate times since Joe said he had sent me a ck..I have have not received anything back..Be careful!!!! read more

I called about a car repair. I was very specific, then went to the facility a couple of days later to make sure everything was all set. I was assured it was. I dropped the car off before they opened. At noon I get a call, which I thought would be to tell me the car was ready. They were just reading my note. So Jeff S., I see what you faced. They had no intention of getting my car to me that day, and in fact I would never know what day I would get it back. Also, they claimed to misunderstand what I wanted repaired and wanted more money. I had a VW Jetta that the stick shift linkage got all out of alignment so I wasn't able to shift into the gears I wanted. I set up a time to drop it off (first thing in the morning at around 7am) and was told it should be ready by noon. Well noon came around, nothing. Gave them a call and they said it'd be going in soon for the mechanic to look at. Called a few more times and got the same answer. So I go there at around 6pm when i got out of work (my boss drove me) and the shop was closed, nobody there. My car was parked outside, unlocked, with the key sitting in the driver's seat. It's also worth mentioning that they're across the street from a bar. They made no attempt to contact me and did not do anything to my car. It was a total waste of my time and my car could've gotten stolen. I had to bring it somewhere else the next day to get the work done (it only took them 20 minutes to fix it). I would never recommend this place to anybody as this is by far the worst experience with a repair shop i've ever had. I wouldn't trust this business to wash my car, let alone fix it. read more

I don't really know where to start. I had a mitsubishi with a blown head gasket that I brought there. The car sat for about 2 weeks while I waited for my next paycheck to give them the go ahead and they didn't charge for storage, which was extremely nice of them given they have a smaller lot. My car was indeed a lemon. Simply put, it needed a lot of work. They did try to upsell me on a few parts but they where real parts that I did infact need for my car. (Such as a bad wheel bearing caused by a seized axle.) There were a few delays in recieving my car back on time (about a week) I can't remember the reason why though, I believe it was due to the machining service they used (third party) I asked them to not put the wheel bearing on my car it when i went to pick the car up, there was a squeak. They said they'd look at it, did it right there on the spot and found out it was the harmonic balancer. it was stripped out. Now the car didnt have this problem before i brought it to them and so they offered free labor if i got the part. I had my suspicions. Fortunately I was wrong. They showed me the old part and the rubber was completely stripped. After I got my car back, about a week later my harmonic balancer's rubber stripped out again. I thought that perhaps they over tightened it, so i did it myself. Another week or so passes and it stripped again so I brought it back to them and they had claimed i over tightened it. I believe they misdiagnosed the problem and that I was as well. I had a sizable dent in my oil pan... What's right behind the oil pan? The crankshaft. I believe damage was inflicted to the crankshaft or one of the bearings so I ended up scrapping the car. Summary: Pros: Reasonable prices, Honest, (And they're willing to prove it!) Very respectful, Optimistic views. Cons: They upsell, (But only parts that you do in fact absolutely need) 1 Misdiagnosis. read more

Great shop! fair prices the guys there are very knowledgeable! They did a fuel pump on my explorer and a full suspension on my mustang! Kept me in the loop the whole time while dealing with the extended warranty company! Will get more work done there. read more

Old Rich needs an attitude adjustment. He talks to women like they all cheated on him. This place is a rip. I was recommended to go there by a clerk at auto zone boy was he an ass. Prices seem to change after work is complete. Estimates also change, they act confused like the customer is lying. GET ESTIMATES IN WRITING and God forbid you ever need help even after you become a customer. Once they get your money you are just someone that came to them to fix your car and thats it. These ppl disgust me and my family and I will never go back. I had to give 1 star to post this. read more
