I knew I was going to need a locksmith soon and I needed fast service at the drop of a hat. I happened to see the black J & M Locksmith van cruising around town and took a picture of the van. Why? Jim is the man. I reached out on Yelp for a quote at 10 pm and he responded in about 10 minutes. I was hoping that he would actually get some sleep. He immediately provided me a fair price for my scope and he said that he could come the following day. He was going to come out in the afternoon, but called as he had an earlier opening and ended up coming out hours earlier. Had a great experience with these guys. Was locked out of my unit downtown and my building security called J@M Locksmith and Jim arrived within 15 minutes on a Saturday night. Very friendly and efficient. Was able to get in my unit in less than a minute. Well done. Charge was $80 for what is described on the receipt as a "emergency lockout service." Honest, trustworthy, and Woody quotes is what you will pay. Other locksmiths will cheat you and promise you low prices. But when they come out and they are there they will jack up the prices by 50, a hundred, or $200. He is a nice guy and has lots of tools. My door has a very difficult lock to pick and he had to try several different methods. He did the work and didnt leave a mark. I highly recommend him. read more

Called these guys on a Saturday afternoon because my son decided to lock us out of the house. The good was they were available when others were closed - hence the two stars. The bad, they wanted to charge 40% more than the other place we called who was able to show up in 45mins and ended up doing a perfectly good job. AMAZING CUSTOMER SERVICE! Newly purchased a condo and the only key missing was the mailbox key. I was advised to contact a locksmith to come out and replace the lock. I called J & M Locksmith, they answered their phone right away and asked me to provide photos of the mailbox current locks to ensure they had the correct lock in stock. I thought sending over the photos was an excellent idea suggested by J & M Locksmith so neither of us would waste out time. Had a property rekeyed. Emailed J&M Locksmith and received an estimate within minutes. Scheduled an appointment and they were done early on the prior job therefore they were able to arrive ahead of our scheduled time. They replaced a few bad knobs and rekeyed all locks (7) to operate on the same key. They were done in less than 30 minutes. The price was slightly higher than some of the estimates received however they were first to respond and accommodated my schedule. They did a great job and were efficient. This guy is amazing!! My hubby Lock our house n car keys inside the car trunk and Jim came to the rescue very fast. Called him, got a quote, sent him my address and bam there he was in 15 minutes.
