Best spot in IB for pedicures!! 10/10 recommend, their hand drawn flowers always come out stunning!

I can't even rare these people they discriminate against young adults with disabilities and refuse to do their nails. Today they made fun of my special-needs 19 year old granddaughter and refused to serve her. I will be reporting them to the ADA. read more

The only good experience I had there was a very first time. After that, I just felt bad vibes and got inconsistent and late service even when I made an appointment. I give them about five tries and I would say that three out of the five they were rude and did not do a good job and did not get to my appointment on time. The last time was my final straw where I was refused service by the person that serviced me last and by the time I was told that I had already waited 30 minutes even though I made an appointment at 1:30 and still after when I asked when I would be serviced by someone else they told me it would be at least 30 more minutes. That would've been an hour wait total even though I made an appointment. They are very rude and I will no longer bring them my business. I will take my business somewhere else more worthy and consistent. read more

I decided to give this place a try after being disappointed when going to many places in Imperial Beach and Chula Vista. My go to place has been in North Park but I get lazy to drive out there and really wanted a place close to home. To my surprise this place did an amazing job. I got a gel manicure and gel pedicure and my daughter got a full set of acrylic nails. The place is small and not that nice looking but since their work is good it don't matter. Firstly, I actually didn't get my nails done here. I called ahead of time to see when/if they had time on a Sat afternoon to do a pedicure, they said yes in an hour. I show up then, and for 15 minutes was never greeted or given even eye contact! A lady showed up after me and after 5 minutes we both decided to walk out. The prices are cheap, $12.99 for a pedicure, but I paid $20 and drove a few blocks away to Imperial Nails and had no wait, a great job done and the nicest staff!! Spend the extra few dollars and go to Imperial Nails and forget this hole in the wall. read more

Went today for a gel manicure($23)...very good! In and out in a little over an hour but my nails look wonderful! The gal that took care of me spent time with the cuticles, massage, everything. I will say it's not a five star hotel spa type place in tens of decor, but is clean and is a wonderful neighborhood spot! I highly recommend! I just moved to IB and this is my new spot! I don't know why a lot of people give this place a bad review . Now this isn't my go to place but i think Ima make it my go to nail place . I usually go to Kathy's nails In Chula Vista on 3rd but it's too far for me now . So I've been here a few times usually for an emergency fill or just a quick fix . Today I came in for a fill it was a little busy so she told me to come back around 3:30 .. I came around 2:50 almost 3 I don't mind waiting I'm a patient person lol it hit around 3 and she was able to get me in half an hour earlier that's a PLUS . I honestly don't remember the lady that did my nails but she's on the 2nd booth . She was very nice . Now I had an oval pointy nails and I wanted to changed it up and get coffin nails and she said of course ! Now let me say she did an AMAZING JOB on getting my nails nice and beautiful ! I paid 28$ for the fill and changing the nail shape & oh also Gel ! The only thing I don't like is that it's really limited on gel colors I hope they add more ! But so far ! She took her time and everything went well will definitely be coming back ! I love them ! read more

Always an excellent job here, from all the ladies. Jenny is who I usually go with on a regular basis for pedicures and she does an extraordinary job. But the other ladies also do a very good job as well. Very flexible with times and always make accommodations. My mom comes regularly for manicures as well and always leaves a happy customer. HORRIBLE HORRIBLE SERVICE. I came in for the first time to get my nails and my toes done. I made an appointment a day before and apparently they DONT understand english well, but I specifically said I wanted my nails and feet done for 6 PM they said YES! Anyway I came in and waited and asked for a specific lady to get my nails done and I said I wanted to wait for her and they kept telling me she was busy because some other lady was in rush to get my nails donde. That same lady with black hair and bun was being EXTREMELY rude to me when I said I was going to get my toes done and she immediately said no in a very rude tone voice almost yelling. She said if I wanted to get my nails done or not if not to come back tomorrow, again, VERY RUDELY. I told her I made an appointment and she still didn't understand what I was saying or simply ignored it. Then i said she didnt have to treat her customers like that (VERY CALM) and she stood up and said she was "done" and NO ONE wanted to do my nails. Even though I made an appointment, they said the other lady was next and she came AFTER me. Then I saw the sign out the window saying they can refuse service to anyone. Then it made sense why her attitude was so atrocious, arrogant, and disgusting. Even though i was never rude and always asked politely. Apparently these girls forget they eat and bring food to their tables because of their jobs. You CANNOT treat your customers like that simply because you want to leave early. What kind of service is this? Who is the owner? Train your staff to take some customer service classes because they SUCK at it. Unfortunately the cons outweight the pros. The place is small and unattractive inside. I just feel like they could take a little paint and some thrift store pictures and make it a little more pleasant. The manicure itself was good and inexpensive; however, I had clear polish put on and the very next day it peeled off. It wasn't gel, and I don't know why it peeled like it did. But, ugh. I didn't have the time or energy to go ask to make a $10 manicure right. It really should have been done right the first time. Won't go back. read more

Yes! This place goes over and above! Sure, the decor isn't the swankiest but it isn't at my favorite BBQ joint in South Carolina either. Jenny gave me one of the best pedicures I've had in years and even managed to make my mangled pinkie toes look normal! Then I got an hombre red and gold gel manicure with an awesome hand massage. Lily is AMAZING! I've been going to her for years and she has NEVER hurt me, most other places I've gone to have. She always listens to what I want and she leaves my nails symmetrical and natural looking. I always recommend this place to people, all 3 girls that work there do an awesome job! I've been to this location twice, both times due to other places being either too packed or the wait time was very long. And both times I've been to this nail salon, the service by the nail tech has been great and my nails always look fabulous! I always get a French gel manicure, and the price is reasonable. Horrible establishment! They did not allow a mother and her child get there nails done because the daughter was special needs.. I'm sorry but I don't know how anyone could possibly come to a place that could do that. They simply said "sorry we can't take you, we're busy" but many other nail technicians were available. Trang is my go to, if you're familiar with the girls you'd remember when they were located in the shopping center where now Starbucks, baskin robbins, chipotle is at. Anyways ive been with j and t for years and i leave satisfied every time, i also love how gentle trang is with my eye brows. I walked in and saw that staff members were just sitting in the back but nobody moved. Finally the person in the middle of a manicure looked up and greeted me. She told me that they have an appointment at noon and if they didn't show up then they would take me. Considering the dirty appearance of the walls, large amount of flies, poor selection of nail polish, I decided not to wait and went to Imperial Nails instead. I have gone to JT Nails for several years now and have always been greeted in a timely fashion. I have never had an appointment so approx. 2-3 times out of the dozens of times I have been there I was asked to wait a short time or come back at a certain time and was always taken in promptly. Since Thanh purchased the shop everything is cleaned up and she is super friendly. Her work is excellent and prices are very reasonable. i came in a while back for a fill. for one they didn't really have a whole lot of gel color suggestions, so i went for something a little safer and went for a nude (seeing as i wasn't too fond of some of the colors they offered). it was a big mistake. the polish was very dry and goopy and she didn't do enough coats so the polish ended up being practically see through. and if you though that was bad, i ended up paying $38. $38 FOR A FILL. on top of that within the first 2 days the polish started peeling off of my nails. I don't think I'll be going back again, sorry! read more
