I went to this nail shop hoping to find a new place close to home, but I left more than disappointed and almost in tears, I know it's dramatic, but people spend their money that they work for on services like this and my Christmas party is tomorrow! The pedicure felt rushed, the water was barely filled below my ankles, the polish was thick and looked old, and there was no massage or lotion at all. When I asked for it to be cleaned up because the paint was all over my cuticles, she did that but it still looked bad, so I asked her to remove the polish all together. On top of all that she still charged me $25 I paid and left. this was easily the worst pedicure I've ever had. I wouldn't recommend this place. read more

by all means i am NOT a Karen... I went here because its close to home and thought id give it a shot. For one this place is extremely dirty! Nail dust evey where, trash everywhere, clutter, boxes everywhere. I went for a fill and pedi the lady had just got done w someones feet and had me come over. I asked her if it was sanitized she yes of course. I was like but you just got done w someones toes like 3 mins ago.. shes like yea i cleaned it just now. Sooo i took her word for it. ( i have never got an infection but if i do this place is why.) another thing is when i was doing my nails the lady was extremely quick, rough and when she was done she wiped the dust off my fingers with her hand and looked at me and said done. I was like okkkkay no brushing off the excess or cleaning around my skin where she got polish on. No cuticle oil to finish off. Just like that your done. So i got up and went straight to the sink to wash my hands. Im praying i dont get a fungal infection from this. I used to love coming to Vy for my nails but stopped because the place is VERY dirty. I don't mind that the chairs are old and ripped. It's the dirty towels they use for all customers without washing, the nail dust piled up on all the tables, and the fact that they do not clean the pedicure bowls in between uses. This place is gross. I gave her one last chance a couple weeks ago because I needed my nails done quickly and everywhere else required an appointment. My nails were done in under 30 mins for like $40 I think but were thick with excess acrylic bumps on the back and mediocre design. You get what you pay for I guess and just be careful, you might catch nail fungus here read more

It's pretty dirty. There's not much else to say but the hygiene standards are not up to par and I would be very surprised if people haven't gotten foot fungus or something because they "clean" the pedicure bowls with a quick spray of some solution, drain the water and half way wipe it down before moving to the next customer putting their foot RIGHT in there. Zero stars!!!!! This place is the worst! I got a crummy gel manicure in SF yesterday. It started to peel on our plane ride to San Diego. The following day I quickly yelped a place near by and found this dump. It had good ratings on yelp but my experience was crummy. The location is small and only has 3 nail techs. This place came highly recommended by my sister in law although note *I did not get my nails done with the tech she recommended* More than anything my review is based on cleanliness and appearance of the salon. Yes they have reasonably cheap prices but still the work of my tech was mediocre, nothing special or amazing about the work I had done. He was very nice and friendly but reeked of cigarettes. Literally like smelling an ash tray the entire time there. There isn't much option on gel colors but he did try to accommodate on what I wanted for my nails. I wanted an American ombré set but got something close to it. The salon itself is in really bad shape, ALL the spa chairs literally look as though they got from the trash. The particular chair I had, had a large visible burnt hole right down the middle. All were torn and peeling as well as the manicure stations. I hate to sound so stuck up about a business but a business should have some integrity in their own business, they should care about their appearance. Wipe things down, stations had file dust everywhere. The towels they used look like they don't wash them. I will not be coming back and hopefully they get a makeover soon bc it's long overdue. read more

Here's the yelp review you wanted! Friend and I came here with my daughter roughly around 11:30am. They told us to return at 1:00pm because they were busy. No problem! We returned at exactly 1:00pm And goodness! All of the employees stared at us and obviously talking about us in their native language. At least be discrete in doing so! My friend and I were seated almost immediately. My daughter (who I clearly stated will be getting a kids spa pedicure) was asked to wait. NO PROBLEM. My friends spa water was turned on and I immediately noticed hair floating all over her leg. -_____- in the meantime, no one even bothered to turn my pedicure spa on.. We patiently waited for about 30 minutes.. Finally, there was a seat available and they sat another customer instead of my daughter that had been patiently waiting for 30 minutes! That was definitely my last straw. I got up and left. They insisted they would tend to us in a few minutes..WHY NOT inform us instead of letting us sit and wait "a couple minutes"? Why not just tell us they are under staffed instead of wasting our time? Also, a lot of their nail polishes were dried out just overall limited selection. We ended up going to another salon 5 minutes away, paid a little bit more for WAY BETTER SERVICE. It was absolutely worth it. I DO NOT AND WILL NEVER recommend this place to anyone!! read more

Worst place ever I went there to get my nails done for the first time and they didn't even last me 1 week and an half and what I notice is that if you're a guy your service means everything such as getting your eyebrows wax and they under charge them too while they charged everybody full price for any other service. Girls next time if you go in pay close attention to what they are charging you and ask around because some people are getting full service as you are but getting charged cheaper. This is the only nail salon I have ever had a positive experience in. I've been going here since 2002. The staff is always friendly and efficient. Walk ins are welcome; stations are always clean and sanitized. Prices are reasonable and no one ever pressures you to go for the more expensive menu items. The parking lot is rather narrow and small, but there is also (free) street parking! By far, the worst gel manicure ever! Vee worked on my nails and seemed to do the opposite of everything I asked. I wanted a slight cut down and she chopped of my nails. I asked for a square shape and she rounded them. The polish is already peeling and don't even get me started on the poor cuticle work. Check out my pics and judge for yourself. These pics were taken today, the day of the manicure. I will have to pay to get my nails redone at my regular shop. The only reason I went to this shop is because I was visiting my mother and it was conveniently located. My nails look like they were done by an 8 year old. I came here because it has a decent star rating on here but I will not be returning. While my nails look good and for the most part, how I want them to, the guy was rude. While my base coat was drying he proceeded to go outside and have a cigarette. When he came in, he didn't wash his hands or anything. He did this one more time while one of my coats was drying. When finishing up, he played on his phone while my nails were drying. The salon has no music or tv on, I could hear the other customer's entire conversation while I was there, very awkward and uncomfortable. read more
