Dr. Lee and staff are courteous and take care of things without much hassle. My gums are sensitive and after the first teeth cleaning, I requested future cleanings be gentler, so they promptly got me a special hygienist and future cleanings were good! Invisalign process was fairly straight forward without any hassles. Each aligner (or "tray" as they call it) was adjusted just enough to move my teeth without causing too much pain. Much appreciated! My daughter needed 2 extraction by oral surgery. We were referred to this office from a different…read morelocation. We made an appointment with a doctor Sagong Yoon. We all took work days off for this appointment. We waited 3 weeks for the appointment date. 1 hour before appointment time, i get a call that doc cant do it because they have to put my daughter to sleep and the doc just saw her file. 3 weeks they had the time to review. Then they tried to put the blame on us saying that we didnt do a consultation. I was never told a consultation was needed from either offices. They had the xrays and files pertaining to my daughter already. I was told that they will try to find an office where this procedure could be done from their network and I would receive a call Tuesday morning. No calls. I call their office and am told that it has nothing to do an office, the doctor himself wont do the procedure. Waste of time and money.

He ended up paying over $3000 on dental work he didn't need. He even told them he was a student with financial struggles and they still pushed these services on him. It took him four years to repay the debt. I realized what their strategy was too late unfortunately. They exaggerate the problems with your teeth so that you feel compelled to pay for services, many of which are not fully covered by insurance. For example, they conducted a gum check that made me think my gums were more unhealthy than they actually were. Which they then used to sell me some service. The main reason I am writing, however, is because of my last cleaning, in 2021. The hygienist was inflicting so much pain during my cleaning, even as I begged her to stop. It was almost as if she were deriving pleasure from hurting me. I was so traumatized by this I didn't go to a dentist until 2025. Prior to this, my cleanings at Walnut Smiles were never painful. I really do believe she was willfully harming me. I'm sure this isn't a universal experience and there are patients who like this establishment. After this encounter, however, I had no choice but to cut Walnut smiles as my dental provider.
