They have always been consistently good and provided me service that I have grown to expect. have tried several places closer to home (I lived in Murray, now Sugarhouse) and always been disappointed, so I make the trek to WVC just for MK Nails. They do get busy, so try to make an appointment if you can! You can sometimes wait up to an hour if you don't make one, but they are WORTH it. read more

Don't know how this has so many stars. They are not friendly and over charge by a lot. Also can't do nail designs like they say they do. I asked for black and purple ombré nails they said only pink and white. A full set solid color should not cost $65. They don't know what they are doing. Asked for black acrylic coffin nails and said I work with heavy equipment and not even a week later broken nails. They tried to do clear acrylic then paint over with black gel polish and got aggravated when I asked for black acrylic powder not the clear. The shape was great but barely enough acrylic for a good quality nail. read more

I've never been so angry in my LIFE about a business dealing before, but this took the cake. My wife was looked down on entering the shop, was passed on to several people who didn't want to deal with her simple requests, while also asking her several times if she's ever been at there salon before, AND THEY MADE HER PULL OUT THE MONEY BEFORE THEY FINISHED HER NAILS. I called at around 10 am to set up an appointment at 6:30 they asked me if i could come at 6:15 and i said i would try i got there at 6:15, i had to wait in their hot waiting room until 6:45. They seemed short staffed, i didn't take it personally and just happily waited. Finally they got me into a seat. It took over an hour to do shellac nails. But the man doing my nails was so sweet and concerned that i had to wait so long. He was nothing but nice. The wait sucked but he made up for it. I asked for an hombre, they talked me into doing French tips and they looked HORRIBLE, the pink was only a quarter of my natural nail and the transition line into the white went straight across my finger instead of rounded. I had them removed and someone else "fix" them, same thing and she refused to do almond shape and insisted on square to "save time". They look like ghetto nails. I have one hand and i try not to raise a stink about the price if the nails are good quality. These nails are thin, not enough acrylic or nail polish because you can see right through them!! I didnt want to embarrass my partner so I had my mom come back and let you know that you charged $75 for a fill on one hand and some short acrylics, so not worth it. $25 for one hand, $50 for my fill if i had two hands. I hope you are more open-minded on what is good for the customer, not just for your business. read more

My grandmother came in to get her nails done. Shes been going here for awhile and has had nothing but great service except this last time. She made an appointment and got there on time and was treated HORRIBLY!!! Her nail technician was Diane. She was rushed to pick a color. She asked for her to be careful while working with her fingers because she has arthritis and she would tug and pull. My grandma told her she was hurting and she continued to be ignored and treated her like complete garbage. She ended up leaving the salon crying. I dont think this salon is horrible but Diane certainly was. Hopefully they can take some action and responsibility for this horrible service!!!!!! read more

Here's the thing, I have no problem waiting for my nails to be done. However, honesty goes a long way. I came in here to get my nails done. Prior to going I called and asked if they could do a fill. They said if I came in ten minutes they could do it right then. So I was there in five minutes. Nobody greeted me or asked what I needed. Moments later a mom and daughter came in and were helped right away. I was noticed only after another woman walked in behind me... I'm patient so I just waited my turn, an hour and 15 min later I was placed in a chair. My nails were done and were done amazing! They took the time and care to ensure they looked perfect. After almost three hours I was on my way. I just moved to the area and needed to find a good place. I will give this place another try as it was a Saturday around 4 pm. My new go-to nail salon. Brian was amazing. Very friendly and professional. He took his time and great care, even though we came in right before closing--thanks for taking us in! We arrived about 715pm and every chair was filled with another person waiting in front of us. We waited about 15 minutes. My sister wanted coffin nails, and I got suckered into paying an extra $15 for the gel lol, but they said it lasts 4 weeks instead of 2. Since she will be traveling, I thought it was worth it. They did a nice job, and he even threw in a free design on her 2 ring fingers. This place was a big upgrade from the place in valley fair mall. And their prices are the same. $25 for a full set. $5 extra I forgot for what. And then $15 more for gel. So I paid $45 + tip. My sister is happy with her nails, they are really good by Utah standards. read more

What a great experience! Jasmine is so good and so talented! She paid so much attention to the small details that are usually ignored at other salons I've been to. She avoided hurting me with the tools which is so important. When it came time to paint she did an excellent job interpreting the picture in my head and putting it on my nails. I'm writing this review based off of my first visit. My friend and I found this salon on Yelp, they have fantastic reviews and we decided to give them a chance. I got a full set of acrylics with a matte topcoat. I was charged $33 aperently its $3 extra for matte topcoat . I'm happy with my nails, they look great, I'm just not happy with the service and upset that the gentleman who attended me was in a hurry to leave and didn't allow my color to fully dry so becase of this, 3 nails were ruined and I had to come back the next day to get them fixed. My friend was also unhappy with her nails. Her nails were done super thick, the color looks horrible in sunlight and her index finger nail is super curved and uneven. We called the salon the morning aftee our first visit and they said they would see us at 12:30, when we showed up at that time they then told us to come back at 4:15PM. At this point we are super annoyed that we are getting the run around. So we show up at 4:15 to only be asked to wait another 20 minutes. The gentleman who did my nails comes to me and says "See thats why you need to be more careful" in other word blaming me. I responded "You just wanted to leave and didn't give them enough time to dry ". Just to be more clear all I did was reach into my sweater pocket and pull out my keys, my sweater barely touched my nails and managed to peel off some of the polish. So he wasnt happy that he had to redo them. As for my friend the lady who did her nails was staring at her with a mean and mad look since the moment we walked in. They were also charging an extra $10 to fix her nails. Honestly if someone was ever upset or unhappy with my work I would definitely apologize and make sure to let them know I'm willing to make it right and fix the issue. To end this review none of the employees gave a sense that they were willing to help, we were over charged and will NEVER go there or recommend. My friend did not pay the extra $10, instead she went with her regular nail lady and had them fixed for $4!!! Oh also she actually showed sympathy and was willing to fix someone elses mistake! read more

DO NOT GO TO THIS SALON!!!!!! They use cheap product and do not do your nails to your liking even after multiple requests while they are being done! When I called for an appointment they told me it was 25 bucks for white tip and when they finished told me it was 30 dollars even after I told them I was not satisfied with how they turned out. They asked me to go around to multiple people working so they could see if they were good or not.....it doesn't matter if they like them or think they are good when they are on my body and I am the customer and if I don't like them they should have re done them to my liking. I even asked for a discount and was told no. Horrible customer service and worst nail experience ever and trust me I have been to quite a few bad salons and this was by far the worst! I only wanted a full set coffin nail nudy color for shellac and i was chared $50 for a shit job.... So i called in to come in the next day and have the crooked one fixed they said just to come in so I did to be told to wait until4pm as well as they were wanting to charge me an extra 10 dollars .. ugh nope i hate this place if I could I would give them negative stars I dont advice anybody to come here.
