Came here for breakfast on a weekend and had an OK experience. J Christopher's is a nice breakfast/brunch/lunch place located in a large, sprawling, outdoor retail complex. Parking is easy to find; however, there aren't any parking spaces near the restaurant entrance. When we walked in, there were already a lot of customers inside, seated at their tables, and it was loud with conversations - lots of families with kids. After waiting a bit for a host to acknowledge us, we were led to a table in the same section as the low counter seats away from most of the other customers. J Christopher's always has seasonal entrees, but we weren't interested in those this time. I already came here knowing that I wanted to eat - a patty melt with fries. R had the spinach bacon skillet. Our server, although friendly, seemed a little preoccupied, concentrating more on what was going on in the kitchen rather than spending more time with us customers. It could've been that they didn't have enough employees available to cover everything in the kitchen. Anyhow, it was about a 20 minute wait for our food. R said that his skillet was good. It certainly looked good to me. The rye bread used in my sandwich was swirled in color. I know it was meant to be cool looking, but I thought the bread looked burnt when I first saw it. The flavor was ok, though. Nothing about this experience stood out or was really bad, so that's why I rated this OK. read more

Although the decore is lovely the service pleasant, coffee good and the very small single pancake delicious, the bacon is too fatty and their low quality signature potatos are dry boring and tasteless. Also they're way- overpriced for such small portions and inconsistent food quality. My guy and I got our food to-go so I can't tell you about the ambiance/environment of the restaurant and barely on the service. The food was good; I had the eggs with two sides which was turkey sausage and fruit. No complaints, basic, standard breakfast. It was good and tasty, definitely suited my needs. My guy had the turkey and avocado smash/skillet and he loved it! It included a little bit of everything. Very clean! Restaurant was quiet when we arrived. Only one other party. Were told to seat ourselves. Destiny our server came over and greeted us. I was glad to see her wearing a mask. Took our drink orders. Nice breakfast menu. Fair amount of options. We both ordered the billy goat omelette with fruit on the side. I had sausage and a blueberry crunch pancake and my companion had turkey bacon. Blueberry crunch is a blueberry pancake with granola on top. It was ok. Our food took longer than average to come out and a nearby table that came in after us got their food prior to us. Our omelettes were overcooked. Fruit bowl was a lot of underripe melon and cantaloupe with a few grapes and strawberries. Meh! For my first meal out since Covid not impressive at all. Service was good, food not so much. Prices reasonable. Portions ok. The manager? came out to the floor at one point to greet some guests ( no mask or gloves). Food took so long to come out I forgot to take a picture. Cute patio space to sit on and service was great despite short staffing (Shawn was very attentive). However, the food was nothing to write home about. We started with the cinnamon roll which wasn't great- the icing was way too cream cheese forward and the consistency of the roll was off. The western omelet also wasn't good- it honestly had the taste and consistency of a microwaved omelette in one of those molds you see advertised on TV. The grits also weren't very cheesy despite being "cheese grits." They we're pretty bland which was disappointing. The skillet was the best of the things we ordered but the potatoes weren't crispy at all which would've made it much better. The biscuit also wasn't very good. My favorite place for brunch. I go there frequently on my own and with friends. It's a great neighborhood vibe, Family friendly and great staff! Michael, the manager and his team knock it out of the park when it comes to welcoming the hungry! I was in a pinch trying to find a place to host a group of 20 on short notice after a baptism service. I called Michael in advance and he warmly said come on over! Two stars not one because our servers were fairly nice people,the bacon was cooked correctly, and they gave me a pitcher of coffee instead of having to wait for them to come refill. But everything else was honestly terrible. One of the worst breakfasts I've had from a food standpoint where something didn't go quite wrong and they technically got the orders correct. My mother got the grit cake special and she didn't eat half of it due to being incredibly bland and dry, her breakfast potatoes were pretty much just raw cubed potatoes, zero color on them at all. My steak and eggs (subbed bacon for potatoes) was a very small portion for the pricing, see the attached photo. The steak wouldn't feed a small child and the plate costs almost 15 dollars, the eggs were dry and needed salt. Steak was order medium rare and came out a very firm well done. It also just wasn't good. I did not come here expecting a ritzy breakfast that blew me away, I've been to other JC's before and have not once come away thinking I had just had some really great food. But this one set the lowest bar by a good margin, we regretted the calories spent and neither of us had too many calories. read more

This location is incredibly slow. It's like they never have enough staff. Everyone is running the entire time and the food takes forever. It's like management didn't want to put enough people on payroll to cut costs so they're always packed, like every table occupied buy it takes forever. If you want a refill, your server has 6 other tables so it'll be a minute and that's no fault to the servers. These people worked super hard & maintained their cool the entire time. It just appears they've got too much & I didn't see a single manager even walk through & look at how busy it was while we were there. The food is amazing, the coffee is amazing. Our server was super friendly & did a good job when he was with us. He was also very attractive so there's some eye candy while you wait for your food. When it comes to brunch this place is a hate crime. 15 years ago they had a stranglehold on the Atlanta brunch scene but other places realized they could do it better and thank god for that. This morning I realized why I haven't eaten here in years. The food - cold, tasteless, and expensive. The atmosphere - nursing home vibes. We heard a lot of great things about J Christophers and decided to do it for breakfast this morning. My son got the strawberry crapes and they were very good. My husband got the corn beef hash skillet with eggs on top it was quite yummy. I got the feast which was two eggs bacon or sausage, potatoes and a blueberry crunch cake, I have to tell you the crunch cake was a highlight everything else was really good but I loved the fresh blueberries on top of my pancake. This was an awesome breakfast... we got there may be 1030 this morning and there was a 10 minute wait which was even better, definitely give this restaurant a try you won't regret it! read more

I went for Mother's Day & we had such a wonderful experience! The staff was all very friendly. The food was delicious. The restaurant is clean and lovely inside. They had a buffet set up just for Mother's Day , with every food item we love! Eggs Benedict, scrambled eggs, omelets, pancakes, waffles, bacon, sausage, turkey bacon & sausage, yogurt with toppings, strawberries, blueberries, and more I can't remember ! We stopped here for a quick Sunday breakfast around 8am and were seated right away. I ordered the The Route 66 which was okay. My boyfriend ordered the eggs Benedict which was okay as well. I feel like they missed out on seasoning the food overall and the potatoes weren't very crispy. Hadn't been here in a decade literally, until this Saturday around 1030 am. Called ahead because a party of 7, but wasn't necessary. Very good taste and portion sizes. Price lower than some of the other breakfast restaurants, (and last decade I think it was higher priced relatively ) Service was Excellent!, and that's not easy for a large group. There's also a low counter top dining area around the registrar near the kitchen. PARKING: Private lot - plenty of parking Dined here for breakfast (9am) on a Monday morning with a friend. It wasn't too busy so there was no wait. We were seated immediately and brought coffee upon request. Coffee wasn't very warm... meh. FOOD -South Beach: scrambled eggs, 2 slices of Canadian bacon, fresh fruit and whole wheat toast. This entree wasn't bad nor was it great. It was delicious and on the lighter side. The fruits were fresh so yes please! -Strawberry Waffle: a Belgian waffle with strawberry and whip cream. It was perfect. Big and just the right amount of crisp. -Spinach & Bacon Skillet: comes with potatoes, sun-dried tomato and bleu cheese. It was delicious. I had a small bite. Overall, food was good. Went to J. Christopher's on a Sunday morning and was surprised by the lack of patrons within the restaurant. Expecting there to be a wait-time to be seated, I was pleasantly surprised by our luck to be seated and served almost immediately. This J. Christopher's is located near the Kroger supermarket. It is an inconspicuous restaurant, not really standing out from the street or the parking lot. Inside, it feels very homely, as-if you're walking into your grandmother's kitchen for breakfast. Service was typical, no complaints there. They were courteous and took our orders quickly. The food also arrived quickly and we were again asked if we needed anything further and to not hesitate to reach out to our waiter. The food however is simply bland. For a place that specializes in breakfast, I would have expected better quality. We did not finish our meals. I would recommend the pancakes above all else, but do not come here expecting a level of quality much-higher than IHOP. read more

My spouse and I went to the Dunwoody location just for a change There is a location much closer to home. I will get to it: After seating and then getting a cup of tea, waited about 8 minutes for the waitress to return and I then went to the counter to get silverware. We got our food and the fruit medley had some old old looking fruit. Then I saw that our waitress was ringing at the register, then making toasting English muffins, basically just touching EVERYTHING. There was a guy standing behind the counter taking plates from the cooks. At one point I saw him in the kitchen chewing and liicking all of his fingers. came out and wiped his mouth on the back of his hand. Was sat after 10 minutes then waitress came 3 minutes later took drink order, returned 5 minutes later with only water and no coffee, 5 minutes later came for the for meal order and still no coffee but said they are working on fresh coffee which proved not to be true since people after us were receiving coffee by their waitresses. 10 minutes later we decided to leave with no food or coffee being delivered. The food was tasty in comparison to any other breakfast place, nothing over the top with it. I had the blueberry crunchcakes, and must admit, I expected more from them, since that's supposedly their signature thing. Although it tasted fine, just didn't meet my expectations: (which were that it would incorporate more granola "crunch" than it did). Service was good, our server was very attentive and helpful with menu suggestions and such.
