If you want a great meal with wonderful service, laid back feel and family owned then this is your place. I go to breakfast alone every week and I have to say JC's was the most welcoming without being in your face. I was comfortable being alone and well taken care of. The chicken fried steak was cooked perfectly, gravy was a little thin but that's Personal preference! I will be bringing the family back with me next time.

Was getting my care serviced at a place close by on an early Saturday morning. Was lucky enough to have a friend in the area and decided to go to breakfast to spend some of the time out of the waiting area of the dealership. We decided to see what was around and happened on this little gem. I will admit I was a little leery of the location and outside appearance. It is lived in. What the heck, some of the best food I've eaten had come out of worse looking places. It's laid back, easy, and an amazing breakfast at a reasonable price. I do love some corned beef hash. We were chattering so I ordered quickly. I was pleasantly surprised when the hash was cooked just the way I like it. Crispy! Lots of great stuff on the menu. Next time I have to drive to Golden I will be stopping back for more!

Great local joint - super friendly people, excellent food and generous portions. If you leave hungry, that's on you!

We stopped here for breakfast on the way back from Breckenridge. Service was fast and portions were good. The ambiance of the restaurant is unique and eclectic. It features writing on the wall and various different grouped decorations. My husband and I had the huevos rancheros. The platter was swimming in the green chili sauce. The sauce was good, not too hot. My daughter had the breakfast burrito. It was good sized and also swimming in the green chili sauce. That was the only downside as there was no mention of the sauce for that item on the menu. My other daughter had the grilled cheese and tater tots. The sandwich was good but the tots were over cooked and a bit too crispy.

Mass Confusion with bacon and sunny side up eggs! Seriously enough for two meals.

Hard to mess up eggs and they didn't. Potatoes were a little bland, other people's orders looked good. Nice staff, good service.

How is the Mexican food?

So far, so good. Chile Rellenos, Huevos Rancheros for breakfast options, as well as green chili options as a topper to the chicken fried steak.

The breakfast scrambles are a highlight, topped with fresh sauces and served with perfectly crispy hash brown medallions. Their smothered burritos are another must-try, loaded with melted cheese and served with fresh sides. Apparently, this is a customer favorite special that earned its place on the regular menu... but they still run out. Consider yourself warned. He ordered a half portion and received the last one they had prepped for that day. I only got to try a small bite, but agreed that it was an explosion of flavor and amazing if you're looking for a sweet breakfast. I enjoyed the coffee and the spicy sausages that were the centerpiece of my order. I wasn't as much of a fan of the plain biscuits and gravy that I selected for my side, but the eggs and potatoes were well done. Our waitress kept my coffee cup full and checked on us frequently. I'll definitely be back again, maybe earlier so that I can also get the French toast! (BTW, the half order was plenty of food for one person.)

We put our names in for a 20-minute wait for a table and found seats at the bar. Bartender Lucas was so welcoming and friendly that we decided to stay at the bar to eat and we were not disappointed! First of all, the view is gorgeous and the staff is so amiable--even when busy--that it made it super entertaining to sit there. Everyone else who bellied up to the bar was a local, which tells you a lot about the quality of the place. We had lots of fun conversations and it made a great start to our vacation. The drinks were fantastic! I got a Sidecar and it's the best I've ever had! Lucas made an off-menu Tequila Old Fashioned for my husband and it was delicious. Later he recommended a Coors-made beer that you can only get at a couple of places in town, a German lager, and it was really good. For food, we got Fried Green Tomatoes, the Prime Rib Dip, and a bowl of Colorado Green Chili. Everything was delicious but that chili was fantastic. I would go back just for that! The only caution of our entire visit was that the food took awhile to come out, so if you're starving, it might not be the right place. But if you want a great introduction to the food, people, and natural beauty of Golden, it's the perfect place!

It's located in Golden, Colorado, right across the street from the world-famous Coors Brewery, so the setting is already pretty cool and scenic. Bob's Atomic Burgers has a great neighborhood-joint feel: small, cozy, clean, and eclectic, with interesting stuff on the walls and a fun local vibe. When we walked in, there was a table near the door with order sleeves and paper forms where you build your burger by choosing the meat, bun, cheese, free toppings, and extra toppings. They have a really good selection. I went with a single beef patty on a white bun with American cheese, pickles, raw jalapeños, tomatoes, green chiles, banana peppers, and a large fry. We turned in our order sleeves at the counter and ordered fountain drinks. When we mentioned it was our first visit, the staff gave us a very warm welcome. The young lady behind the counter explained a little about the place and how the ordering process worked, which was much appreciated. The burgers are made to order, so we waited about 10-15 minutes. Honestly, that worked out perfectly because indoor seating is limited, and during the wait we were able to grab a table. They also have outdoor seating, though it was raining when we visited. When the burgers came out, they looked amazing. I'd describe them as a cross between a smash burger and a traditional patty, and I really liked that. My burger was delicious, juicy, flavorful, and messy in the best possible way. The large fries came in the usual paper sleeve, but it was absolutely overflowing, and the fries were hot, fresh, cooked to order, and excellent. This was honestly one of the best burgers I've ever had. Great food, friendly staff, cool atmosphere, and a local feel that big chains just can't touch. Skip the lame McDonald's or Burger King run and go somewhere that makes an actual great burger. Bob's Atomic Burgers is absolutely worth the visit.
