If you want a great meal with wonderful service, laid back feel and family owned then this is your place. I go to breakfast alone every week and I have to say JC's was the most welcoming without being in your face. I was comfortable being alone and well taken care of. The chicken fried steak was cooked perfectly, gravy was a little thin but that's Personal preference! I will be bringing the family back with me next time.

Was getting my care serviced at a place close by on an early Saturday morning. Was lucky enough to have a friend in the area and decided to go to breakfast to spend some of the time out of the waiting area of the dealership. We decided to see what was around and happened on this little gem. I will admit I was a little leery of the location and outside appearance. It is lived in. What the heck, some of the best food I've eaten had come out of worse looking places. It's laid back, easy, and an amazing breakfast at a reasonable price. I do love some corned beef hash. We were chattering so I ordered quickly. I was pleasantly surprised when the hash was cooked just the way I like it. Crispy! Lots of great stuff on the menu. Next time I have to drive to Golden I will be stopping back for more!

Great local joint - super friendly people, excellent food and generous portions. If you leave hungry, that's on you!

We stopped here for breakfast on the way back from Breckenridge. Service was fast and portions were good. The ambiance of the restaurant is unique and eclectic. It features writing on the wall and various different grouped decorations. My husband and I had the huevos rancheros. The platter was swimming in the green chili sauce. The sauce was good, not too hot. My daughter had the breakfast burrito. It was good sized and also swimming in the green chili sauce. That was the only downside as there was no mention of the sauce for that item on the menu. My other daughter had the grilled cheese and tater tots. The sandwich was good but the tots were over cooked and a bit too crispy.

Mass Confusion with bacon and sunny side up eggs! Seriously enough for two meals.

Sometimes closed at odd times, like many small businesses. But if they are open the prices are good and the food is great.

Staff was pleasant. Area is cramped for the amount of tables they have. Food was bland. Overpriced.

    How is the Mexican food?

So far, so good. Chile Rellenos, Huevos Rancheros for breakfast options, as well as green chili options as a topper to the chicken fried steak.

Apparently, this is a customer favorite special that earned its place on the regular menu... but they still run out. Consider yourself warned. He ordered a half portion and received the last one they had prepped for that day. I only got to try a small bite, but agreed that it was an explosion of flavor and amazing if you're looking for a sweet breakfast. I enjoyed the coffee and the spicy sausages that were the centerpiece of my order. I wasn't as much of a fan of the plain biscuits and gravy that I selected for my side, but the eggs and potatoes were well done. Our waitress kept my coffee cup full and checked on us frequently. I'll definitely be back again, maybe earlier so that I can also get the French toast! (BTW, the half order was plenty of food for one person.)

I said it was the best burger I ever ate. My husband, whose hobbies include crushing joy with logic, said, "No it wasn't. It was an ordinary burger. You only think it's amazing because you almost died." Had to settle that debate, so we tried it without the kill-me-hike warmup this time. Food I don't like my burgers swimming in their own juicy filth. And these burgers are dry, juicy, beefy, and didn't almost drown in their own fat. Even the bun (brioche, I think) stayed dry as summer heat. Plus, their fries are that kind that almost seem battered. Crisp on the outside, potato-y on the inside. We also tried the deviled eggs, which was a nice update to an old classic. Atmosphere This is perfectly casual with outdoor dining (great for dogs). Big umbrellas and coverage from the summer sun. I've never eaten inside because why. Service Perfectly competent. Nobody gave us a pony. Nobody accidentally set us on fire. The food arrived quickly, while the check took its own scenic route through the restaurant. Everyone was friendly. No complaints. Value Expensive burgers at $18-22 each. But I only have burgers a few times a year, so when I do, I'm going to demand one of these from now on.
