Unbelievable!! I went in for a hi lite & root touch up (I am a blonde) and the stylist toned my hair brown! corrected it with a partial hi lite at the crown (back was brown). Went back for a color adjustment and they would not fix the damage from the brown toner. I spent over $300 and you wont fix it! Then wanted me to payer another $150 to hi lite it (bringing me back to blonde). NEVER go here!!! Horrible Experience.....not to mention 3 hrs in the chair!!! Never again!!! read more

Just found this salon and Megan. The place is clean and beautiful. I have somewhat curly hair, and Megan worked with me on two occasions to make sure I got just the cut I wanted. She also gave the most relaxing shampoo massage in the world (I would go back for the shampoo alone). Megan also spent time with me explaining The best way to care for my hair. Should've read all reviews for all locations. Stay away from this company. Last picture is my hair a week before this nightmare! Only problem was my grays. Scheduled a root touch up with Amanda Level 4 - quoted $235 for a Simply Root Touch UP- I agreed because they don't tell you until you are there and ready to get your hair done. Amanda had an assistant that pretty much helped Amanda with placing color and handled the washing and styling until I complained my head hurt from being pulled both sides while styling. Not to mention the assistant was clueless and wouldn't surprised me if not licensed. I didn't know I had agreed to pay $235 to be cared by a starter. I had asked Amanda to kindly avoid making my hair red or black and to match my natural brown color. Well as you can see my hair is now red and orange. Manager said a wrong developer was used causing my hair to turn red. Amanda said Redken color doesn't work on my hair. Nicholas at front desk was very pushy and asked me to pay upon leaving even though Amanda admitted the mistakes and blamed Redken for failing on my hair and discounted $75. She charged me $90 for a GLOSS that was applied to my ends while at the chair and not all over. So I paid $155 for this disaster and had still agreed to go back to see the manager to get it done correctly. Amanda kept a stating the only was to fix it was to go black while the manager said she could fix it by using a different developer. This happened at the LOL location. I called the Lutz location and explained what happened and they scheduled me at their location with Jeremy for the service adjustment and that the money paid would be transferred/assigned to the new stylist. I got a VM from Nicholas the following days stating that is NOT possible and that he has now CANCELED my appointment with Jeremy and has scheduled me at the LOL location where Emily informed me Amanda would be working at that time. I declined and explained I did not feel comfortable going back to that location and was willing to give them another chance at the Lutz location especially after the manager at the LOL told me "it wasn't so bad". Because I complained... THEY THEN DENIED ME the SERVICE ADJUSTMENT and TOLD ME I WOULD NO LONGER receive an appointment and HAVE REFUSED to SCHEDULE ME at the LOL location with the SAME manager that was going to FIX this disaster. I then asked for a refund if they were not going to reschedule me and they denied and said they won't provide the service adjustment as they don't think I will be happy. And if I want get fix this at another location I'll have to pay AGAIN!!! I have sent them two emails regarding VIOLATION OF POCILY TO PROVIDE SERVICE ADJUSTMENT but haven't received a response or call. They couldn't care less after they get your money!! I met with Hailey Thursday Aug 10th. I had shown her a picture of the colors I wanted in my hair. I thought we were on on the same page, but WOW - NO we weren't. I was in her chair from 2pm to after 7pm. At that point my hair still partially wet and un-styled. I told her I was really disappointed, as my new color is no where close to the picture I had shown her. She had the manager came over and told me that I didn't explain myself very well to Hailey and that I asked for some waterfall effect. I said what is a waterfall effect? I never asked for that! I showed her the picture and said this is what I asked for. Does my hair now look like this picture? She said no. She told me I could come back tomorrow for "free" after I paid $350 for the services today. She said tomorrow we will strip the hair color we just put in it and re-color it again. For FREE... really!! It should be free! You messed it up!!! You damaged my hair!! I think this place is a joke! I could have gone to Target or Walgreens and got a box kit for my hair and done it much better! I shouldn't have had to pay for anything other than the hair cut. No, I didn't go back for the FREE service of correcting it or damaging it further. I'll never go back, nor will I ever recommend this place to anyone. Let me give you a review that is from the current year! These past reviews are very very old! I have been coming here for at least 4-5 years and I have always had a great experience. My first experience was in the nail department, which I was in love with my nail genius who could do anything with gel- even all my crazy design requests. On one occasion, years ago, I was unhappy, the front desk manager overheard me talking to my stylist to get it corrected and next thing I know, I had a free facial to make sure I was a happy customer. For the past 3 years, I have been seeing Jeremy. I tell him a color, show him a picture and he makes it happen. I went into the Land O Lakes location this last time and a woman came out and talked to me with the stylist.... completely ramrodded and tried to upsell with all of these things I didn't want--- wouldn't even listen to what I had to say. I have been getting my hair done for over 4 decades--not to mention I used to do hair myself..... When It was all said and done my normal cut and partial highlights would have cost me 400.00 with tip.( almost double what I normally pay) So I only got a cut that was not what I wanted and bangs that looked like a 5-year-old cut them... I am not upset with the girl who cut my hair she was obviously new. God Bless her--I know it takes time and practice .......she'll get better.... but the rest was unacceptable. Well.. to start, i used to come here a year back and have been a client for about 5 years now. Went in today to get a trim, not only did the hairstylist not do what I asked, she literally butchered my hair. Great clips would've done a better job. I asked for layers, the top part of my hair is now 2-3" longer than the sides and completely covers the sides... hence no layers whatsoever. I asked her to thin my hair out, she spent about 45 seconds thinning out the same side of my head then called it a day. My hairline on my neck is crooked as well. False Advertising !!! I was so happy to find this offer in the local paper, I have been looking for a new stylist since moving here from Brandon. I currently drive all the way to Brandon to have my hair done! So this was a great enticement to try a new place close by. I made an appt. on their web site and received a call to make my actual appt. I scheduled with one of their level 3 stylist and informed her I had the offer of $25 off. She then told me the owner stated that he would not honor HIS offer with a level 3 stylist only with the lower level stylist!!!! I was shocked ! This is my first time going to this salon and let me start by saying Deseree is why I had such a phenomenal experience. It was worth the money and time driving to this place. I have curly hair and asked for layers, and she definitely understood the assignment. Deseree was polite, professional, and had an exquisite sense of humor. I felt very comfortable and felt heard with all my hair requests. She even gave me tips on how to keep up with my hair needs- she is very knowledgeable and helpful. I've been going to Kayla for over 4 years. Kayla is one of the kindest and caring people I know. There are times when I walk into the salon not feeling very good about myself. After spending time with Kayla, I feel so good when I walk out of the salon. She works with me to give me amazing hair styles. She is a pleasure to talk with while she is working her magic. She is a perfectionist. She takes her time to make sure I'm happy. As a side note. There is an area on a side of my scalp that has to be handled carefully. Kayla is amazing. First off let me say, I do not work for this salon nor do I have any friends/family that work at this salon. Having said that: I called last minute on a Sunday and was given an appointment with Robyn. Upon my arrival, I was greeted and escorted to Robyn's station with an offer of something to drink. The salon was beautifully decorated and very clean. I showed Robyn a picture of the style I wanted which was quite a change from my previous style (I had mid shoulder-blade length hair in long layers, what I wanted was what I called a short stacked bob in back to a very long angled tampered length in front). Robyn's approach was confident, which in turn instilled confidence in myself that I was making the right choice since I had never had my hair that short. The cut/style was everything and more than I expected it to look on me. I LOVE IT! Here's a tip for those other reviews. 1. Stylist are artists not mind readers. Bring a picture of the style/color you want. 2. The place may look expensive, but it is quite reasonable. You can go to other salons North by Publix or by Collier, however after you go there, you will wish you had spent the extra $10-15. Trust me on this one. 3. I personally would put this salon up against any salon in the Tampa area. Just my two cents worth. The only reason I did not give 5 stars, was because of the outfits of some the stylists. One stylst was in a very short skirt more suited for the bar or beach, not an elegant salon. read more

Not sure why I gave this place a second try. Should have learned the first time around, but I honestly thought that I would get a new stylist and that they are not all the same. Well I did receive a different stylist, but they are all the same. The girl was sweet, outgoing and looked young. Inexperienced, maybe? I showed two similar photos of what I was looking for. We talked about it and my desire for it to be easy going kinda style. Nothing like what I showed it what I received. I left in tears, devastated. She cut way to much off and it was nothing like the photo. The manager came over and tried to fix it the best way possible. I had to put a end to that too. I would have no hair left. The stylist never did a word to me when I started crying. She just stood in the background. Ofcourse, I did not pay for my cut, but I was told that the owner would be calling me to talk about what happened and he would want to try to make things right. Well 2 weeks now and no call. Ian new to Florida & decided to try this place out. I had my hair done at the lol location twice, each time with a different stylist. I had no problem with the first stylist but the second time I made an appointment with her she canceled on me and rescheduled several times. After bitching and complaining about all the canceled appointments they ended up giving me an appointment with Christina. On what was to be my third trip to this salon I wanted to give the first stylist another chance but shame on me, of course she canceled again. Her name is Alexis Register so my suggestion to you would be not to make an appointment with Alexis because she is a huge flake. Both Alexis and the other girl did a pretty good job on my hair but that doesn't make up for all my canceled appointments. Besides, the salon is overpriced and hoity-toity. Lisa is a color savant. She is the best colorist I have ever gone to & I've been getting my hair colored for 35 years . She colors highlights and does balayage on my hair She also is excellent at cutting and styling. Additionally ,her assistant Alex gives an amazing wash and style and Anastasia who is another stylist does the most fabulous updos you have ever seen.
