    Finished deck

Jorge and his team built our batu deck and did a phenomenal job. They were very prompt and kept the work area very tidy. We highly recommend them.

    Backyard Deck

J Perretti Builders was suggested to us by another deck builder who doesn't work in our area and it turns out that recommendation was spot on. We have been spending more time in our backyard during the pandemic and we wanted to enjoy a better deck. Jorge was prompt with everything from appointments to quotes to communicating which made it easy to work with him. His pricing was competitive and his knowledge of decks was excellent. He was flexible with our schedules and always professional. We ended up choosing a composite material called Timbertech Pro Legacy collection. We chose a Pecan color for the main part of the deck and also took Jorge's suggestion to put a darker Mocha colored picture frame around the outside. The deck looks wonderful that way. The crew did great and precise work. You could tell they cared about the job because they were punctual and spent a lot of time making sure things were measured correctly and set right. They cleaned up after themselves daily and got the job done in the estimated time frame. The overall job is amazing and we are extremely happy with our new deck. We are spending even more time outside now. I strongly recommend J Perretti Builders to do your deck or any other building project you might have.

My vintage house had a sad, small back door landing. A a narrow flight of stairs gave access down to the backyard. Jorge Perretti was recommended by friends, also with a vintage house, as resource to consult with regarding an elevated deck and replacement of the existing back door landing situation. I wanted to replace the small landing, and stairs, with a deck and new stairs. Jorge came over and within 15 minutes I knew this was going to work. The scope of the work included demotion of the existing landing, stairs, and concrete slab. The new deck would be designed and built to go up to the back of the house, but NOT rely upon the house for support. Jorge drew up beautiful plans and went to the city, for a permit. We had one minor hiccup, which was resolved in the same day. My vintage house is in an historic neighborhood. The planning department needed verification that adding a deck on to the back of the house was well within allowable changes. This was confirmed by a member of the Historic Resources Advisory Commission. During demolition, the crew did an excellent job. They were able to leave the back landing and stairs up for a little longer, than originally planned, since I needed them to let my dog out. When they were taken down, it was a mild inconvenience for about a week. The original design was going to be redwood decking and redwood railing / stainless steel cables. Jorge, after meeting my dog, suggested an alternative to redwood decking. I went with Garapa, a Brazilian Ash, which was also a painter friend had recommended. Very good hardwood and scratch resistant. It also has the insect resistant properties as Redwood. The original plans were mostly stuck to.A deck that would run from the back door to the East side of my house. The stairs would be wider and deeper. But, I did request lattice all around the bottom and fascia boards. Both of these enhancements was to cover the pressure treated wood, the "guts" of the deck. With the removal of the concrete slab and some of my flagstone, I wanted a good covering of pea gravel. It looks great! The deck is done! I am having a long-time friend and painting contractor do the final painting and staining, rolling it into other similar projects. The deck is about 250 sq feet. Just the right scale for my yard. Job well done! And, my dog loved meeting the various craftsmen that worked on the project. I would gladly recommend Jorge Perretti and J. Perretti builders to anyone.

Love our deck built by Jorge Perreti. Was not cheap but now we have a solidly built upper story composite deck . Old deck was rotted out and he suggested doubling the width from 5 to 10 feet. Great workers.

Completed deck with very old fence in the background.

I reached out to Jorge to build a 400 square foot deck in our backyard. He had some good suggestions for me and gave us a competitive price. His crew did an outstanding job building the deck and it's rock solid. They arrived every day early, worked constantly, and completed the deck ahead of schedule leaving the area spotless. I highly recommend J Perretti Builders.

Ultimately, I chose StruXure and Blue Sky, and working with Bob Grossman made it clear I made the right choice--his expertise was immediately apparent. Design & Problem Solving: The initial quoting process was done virtually using photos of our outdoor space, and Bob shared relevant pictures of similar recent projects. When his team came out for the live site visit, they identified a crucial code issue regarding heater clearance in the original design. Bob quickly proposed a revised solution that met all code requirements while maintaining full form and function. Although this required a slight cost increase and a small parallel roof modification, Bob was completely transparent about the pricing. Process & Installation: After contracting, Bob provided shop drawings, confirmed all components, and ordered materials. He even graciously held the materials until our parallel construction dependencies were ready. The installation crew was highly skilled and completed the main structure in just two days. When a couple of Bromic heaters didn't work initially due to a faulty control switch, Bob and his lead installer followed up diligently over a few extra visits until it was perfectly resolved. The Final Result: We now have an absolutely awesome pergola attached to our home on two sides, featuring: - Motorized louvers and motorized shades on the open sides - Integrated down-lighting and LED color accent lighting - A smart outdoor fan and elegant, high-power Bromic electric heaters - Internal drain pipes within the posts connecting directly to existing backyard water drains - Full smart control for everything Pergolas like this are a significant investment, making proper design and expert installation absolutely critical. I highly recommend Bob, Blue Sky, and StruXure for a fantastic experience. I will add pictures once the rest of our backyard construction is completed!

Bob came out to see our yard, helped us think through the best design, and balanced the desires of my wife and I. He never pushed us with a hard sell and customer satisfaction truly is his number one priority. Bob also helped us stay on budget, pointing out which upgrades were worth it and which we could skip. We especially appreciated Bob's responsiveness throughout the entire project as he always responded quickly. His crew was professional, detail-oriented, easy to work with and very experienced. We had some changes mid installation that didn't slow the crew down at all. They also cleaned up thoroughly every day (even vacuumed metal shards), and finished a few days ahead of schedule. Bob checked on the installation progress often and in person just to make sure the installation was meeting our expectations. I highly recommend Bob and BlueSky Outdoor -- great design and ideas, transparent communication and very professional installation.
