This is the second time I contracted wth JQ Brick for restoration of disarrayed bricks on my home. In 2019 they repaired the west side and it still looks amazing to this day. Yesterday their crew repaired the west side as well as a support column leading to the garage. Both appear as though there was never any disruption of the brick patterns. Expertly done. We needed work regarding some mortar repair and cracks on home exterior walls and chimney. We also needed to have brick removed from around a door so the door could be moved. They arrived on time, did all the work needed to complete the wall renovation, mortar work and chimney in one day. The work was clean and neat and they matched the mortar color perfectly. Upon returning to reinstall the brick they were able to match our existing brick and completed the work including caulking seams. We were very happy with the results, the professionalism of all the support personal, and the quality of the work. They worked with us regarding schedule and we were not rushed to get the door moved prior to their return. We highly recommend this company and will use them again in the future. read more

I have used JQ before. So, I did not hesitate to contact them for a new brick job at my house. I called 4 times before I was able to make contact with a human being. None of my calls were ever returned. When a tech, Alex Guiteirrez finally came to the job site, he spent the correct amount of time looking over the job. After he left, he stated that I could expect a quote in the next day or so. Days and days went by and, predictably, no quote and no answer to phone calls. Finally after about 2 weeks, Alex answered his phone and promised a quote within an hour. No surprise, no quote. I gave up after this. Sad.. And, very rude to be treated with such disregard after being a repeat customer. CAN NOT RECOMMEND. read more

I contacted JQ Brick to ask them to give me an estimate on some repair work. I talked to someone on the phone who said I would be called to set up an estimate. Two weeks passed. No call. Anyone can make a mistake so I called back. They apologized. A worker came to my house, looked at the problem, and said he would send me an estimate. Bottom line. I never received an estimate or even a return phone call despite 3 follow up phone calls asking for someone to contact me. It has been more than a month since their estimator came to my house and 2 months since I first contacted JQ Brick to inquire about hiring them to do repair on my home. I give up. If there is no follow through before hiring them, I have serious doubts about them showing up and completing the work. read more

My initial contact with JQ brick repair was good. The tech came to my house to assess repair and emailed me an estimate within a couple days of my initial call. The estimate stated the quote was valid for 90 days. I authorized the work by signing the link attached to the quote and was told Rigo would call to set up a date/time. Two weeks later still no response even after several calls. I've never had to stalk a company to have them complete several hundred dollars of work before! I had brick cracks, some mortar replaced and two brick walls resecured yesterday on my 1976 home. The craftsmanship is excellent and the mortar color matched perfectly. EXCELLENT Work! When I backed my car into my house and saw the damage that I had done, it was overwhelming. I had no idea who to call to repair the bricks. A friend recommended JQ Brick Repair. Winston, came the same day I called and gave me a bid, which was a fair price.The next week we scheduled the work. He first had to demo the brick, (so my contractor could repair the wood that was also damaged) and then another day came and fixed the mess I made. Within 4 days the job was complete. I'm not sure why the other reviewers are hating. I had a very good experience with JQ. Perhaps the management changed? I called Winston and he showed up as scheduled, neatly dressed with a company-branded shirt, to give me an estimate. I had an estimate emailed to me within 2 days. I signed the estimate and had it back to them in no time flat. Now, this is the only reason for taking off a star: Winston initially told me "one month" until they could come out when he got my signed estimate. That turned into two. I really, really struggled about removing one star because 1) my project was incredibly small and 2) my project was superficial in nature. I didn't really mind waiting for these reasons but, at the same time, I did sort of wonder why I didn't at least get some kind of update about the hold up. The work itself was really spectacular. The workers showed up about 10 minutes before the 30 minute window I was given. They completed the job in about 30. I barely knew they were here! I had spare matching bricks left from some demolition in another part of the house, so the guys doing the repair used those. When I walked outside, I couldn't even tell where the hole in my wall had been. Flawless. 5 stars for the work done. I would hire these guys again in a heartbeat if I need any more brick work done, but knowing that scheduling might take a bit longer than expected. read more
