The place seems clean enough. The ambiance is country style but older looking. The menu seems a bit pricey for the area to me. The country gravy is thin but good flavor. I had the fajita omelet and feel the beef was flavorless and the chicken was similar. Chicken fried steak was minimal on flavor too. The cost of a glass of milk, juice etc... is basically the cost of a gallon of the product?? The hash browns were good and crispy but not overcooked. I score this a 3.5 but not an option. read more

This is an awesome little hidden gem of Tehachapi! My wife and I have been to this grill numerous times over the years we have lived in Tehachapi. We have never been disappointed. The staff is great, service is fast and the food is fantastic! The ambiance is old but not dirty. It is kept up. I like the rock fireplace. Wish it would be on in the mornings and cold evenings. Great Food, generous portions, but a few weeks ago bad service! The usual waitress was not there around 5p when we went, a man was there instead. A few things happened, simply fixed but not good: I asked for lemon in my water but after several times asking still no lemon. Had to ask yound lady with ripped jeans and she got it immediately. Next asked for my taco salad to be put in a to-go container because I can never finish it due to the size. He returned with a plate, not the container, he said he would bring it to me but never did. It wasn't even busy only us and another person. We went there for our anniversary but will rethink going there in the future due to the bad service we received. read more

I hardly do reviews but The whole environment made me feel uncomfortable! I'm sure they can tell we're not from around here. It's really dark inside you can barley read the menu. When anyone walks by your whole table shakes! I don't know if it was the cup or just the water didn't taste good at all. My wife ordered the chili rellleno/ tamale it came with some weird sauce? My daughter got pretty much the same The tamales looked dry like they were microwaved? I think all the food was reheated. Especially the bbq "prime rib" was probably bought at the Walmart down the street You know the microwave kind and was drenched in a ton of low budget bbq sauce. It came crinkle cut fries that were burnt to a crisp(see photo) Just by the photos posted nothing looks appetizing. I still left the lady a tip. My husband and I had wanted to try Gracian's for a year. Finally got there for breakfast last week. This place has been around for at least 18 years. We weren't impressed with the food or the service, although the server was very nice - she was just overwhelmed which would have been understandable if there hadn't been at least four family members just hanging out. read more

I was in Tehachapi to see a few friends that I have not seen since at least 2001. So, we decided to go here for dinner. The service by Sandra, was excellent (5 stars) as was the margarita (not a drink I usually have when I by myself, but since I was with friends, I said why not? And, only $4.95). As you can see by the pictures, I had the garlic grilled pork chops and real mashed potato2 (there was potato skin and chunks of potato), along with fresh vegetable medley. The salad, was nice and fresh. My dinner, was really good. However, for me anyway, they did cook the chops a little longer than I would have liked (moist, not dry like this was). And besides the great company and service, it was a real enjoyable late afternoon. read more

My friend has a chicken taco a d enchilada with rice and beans. The taco was not your crispy shell taco but delicious and a great serving. The enchilada was tasty also as the sauce was. Gracian Grill isn't all that fancy, but we have come several times and been delighted with the service, food, and our very full tummies upon departing. Best country fried steak in Tehachapi, and the garlic mashed potatoes are just a little lumpy with skins so they're made from fresh potatoes. Perfection. I've loved the fajitas on a previous visit, and you get chips and amazing homemade salsa when you sit down to take the edge off. Meh. I have been wanting to try this place for a while, but I have always been turned off by the shabby exterior. This was my first time here. The chips and salsa were good. The restaurant was empty on a Sunday night but clean. That was telling, but not always, given this is Tehachapi after all. We ordered the ribeye steak. The steak looked good on the plate, but more than half of it was gristle and fat. The vegetables were sautéed, but they were frozen originally; they had that gross frozen dry texture to them. Overall, I recommend Big Papas, Jakes, or P-Dubs any day over this place. read more

The steamed vegetables are phenomenal - I demolished all of my veggies first. They are that good. I was craving some mashed potatoes after work and instantly thought of this place. I could of ordered just the mashed potates, but instead I turned it into a meal. Got the prime rib special with the sides of mashed potatoes and veggies. I arrived at the resturant 10 minutes later and the food was just about ready. before leaving I took a peek at my dinner to make sure everything was as it should be only to be surprised that the mashed potatoes where the ones with the chunks of potatoe and with the skins. My heart was hoping for the creamy kind like you get with Thanksgiving. Also, these were scooped out in a small amount so I had to order another side of it. $30 she said. My jaw dropped. At home the meat was chewy so I cut it up and gave it to my dog. The only think really tasty were the roasted veggies.
