Better customer service than my last time. But my chicken wings were over cooked. Spicy ranch is not ranch, let alone spicy. They were luke warm when I got them. Bar tender never asked me how my wings were. She was pouring cocktail sauce into cups. Some must have landed on her fingers because she licked her fingers and then continued pouring without sanitizing her hands first. Still a waste of time coming here. went here for dinner last night with my grandparents (they love bar food). overall good experience. the room we were placed in was non-smoking (i think the whole restaurant was non smoking?). the food was delicious - phenomenal bar food. however, it took us over an hour to get our entrees ordered. we didn't mind at all, we we were having such a great time talking and hanging out, but it did take quite a bit to cook our dinners (we had shrimp, salad, and sandwiches so pretty simple things). overall would come back. their buffalo chicken wrap was amazing read more

Great food lots and lots to eat. Place was realy busy but our waitress Carolyn made our day. Zucchini was out of this world, the steak salad was huge. Excellent food & service!!! We arrived close to 4 o'clock on Friday and got a table!! There are plenty of tables in the restaurant section and in the bar area. Our waitress was outstanding & didn't miss a beat. I ordered the hand breaded fish sandwich with tartar and hot sauce and it was very good. The waffle fries seemed to be a little bit over done but we're OK. I might get Cole slaw instead next time. My boyfriend loved his beer battered chicken tenders. Spent $53 in takeout. The only thing edible was the pepperoni rolls and ranch. The salad had wilted greens, the chicken sandwich was just tiny pieces of chicken that were flat as a pancake. They put a brown piece of lettuce on the chicken sandwich. I ended up feeding the chicken to the dog. The French fries were old , cold and stale tasting. She is very well mannered, promptly took care of our exceptionally large group by herself, and got all the orders correct without missing a beat. Jabby Joe's recently opened where rocky's was located on island ave. Years ago, they were located on steubenville pike in Robinson. Theu also run the Cooked Goose. I met my family for dinner on valentine's day. When we got there, they werent so busy but they filled up fast. The wait staff and owners were on top of everything, checking in with every table- never left a glass empty. I ordered the chicken marsala and it was great. The portion was large, the food was cooked perfectly and it came with a large dinner roll that was sliced in sections and buttered. The salad that came with the dinner was also a decent portion size. I'm not sure if it was just a valentines day special, but the meal came with a desert. I chose the cheesecake. You could tell it was homemade and the presentation was great. It was pretty tasty too. A lunch and a long overdue covid delayed visit with my family in Stowe Twp (aka, The Rocks) was a great chance to see how Jabby Joe's made it through the past couple of years. Formerly known as Bialeks, Rocky's and I'm sure a few other names, this space has suffered through the changes in Pittsburgh industry but has somehow survived and expanded. I'm never sure what the longterm intent of expansion might be but, I'm happy to see it. The quality of the food has also always been maintained, as affirmed by my oldest brother who ate there years ago as an employee of Shenango on Neville Island. His half hot sausage hoagie with fries was huge and looked great. They have also been known for a great fish sandwich which I can't get enough of since moving back to PIttsburgh. The other five of us ordered the roast beef sandwich with gravy and mashed potatoes. The roast and gravy were tender and tasty, better than I would make at home. The potatoes were the real deal and were also rich and creamy and plentiful. My reason for only 4 stars is that the potatoes were not warm, they were refrigerator temp but were so good with the hot gravy that we all ate them as is. I admit I've dived into some cold mash before if they were somehow left over from a dinner at home. The drafts were cold and they had a good selection. Neither the food or drinks were as expensive as I've come to expect post covid. The staff was friendly and good. It was a really good lunch and a great chance to catch up. read more

Have had the fish sandwich here several times, and tonight was the worst breaded fish sandwich ever had. Fish came out and was lumpy breading, over cooked, and all you tasted was over fried breading. The fish was severely crunchy. Advised waitress, and half of our fish was recooked. The second chance came out, and it was not much better. It's really uneditable. Breading again clumpy and hard. Fish appeared as if fish was breaded twice. Also, the sandwich comes with fries or coleslaw, but they were out of coleslaw and wanted to charge an additional $2.75 for other side options, so you were stuck with fries only. Compensation for 2 terrible meals was free iced tea. Not going back. read more

Very disappointing. Thought this was going to be great but sadly we were wrong. Maybe we made bad choices? We had a veggie pizza...worst pizza I ever had...crunchy, raw veggies and very little sauce. The wings were sub par, not crispy and well done as we requested. We checked out this place with some friends. The food was not very good. Very plain or bland. We ordered about 6 beers, two appetizers, then a promotional item of buy a plate of speghetti and get another, plus dessert to go. The service was pretty good until we were informed we broke the rules by getting a box for the speghetti to go as it was for dine in only.... At this stage I doubt we will return to the place, as nothing stands out and the comment on breaking this rule was the deal breaker. I fully understand the concept of why these rules are put into place which is so the business can make money on other items. Surly you would think the fact we ordered essentially a full course meal that would account for they purpose of the rule? Anywho, just our experience and I hope for the sake of the employees and owner that this isn't the typical experience and others will have a better one. read more

I'd been missing a really good fish sandwich since I no longer work downtown. I'd had a few people recommend Jabby Joe's beer battered fish so i finally ordered one for lunch and was not disappointed. The large fish was enough for lunch and leftovers for dinner. Perfectly cooked with moist flaky fish in a light beer breading. If the rest of the food is of similar quality, this could be my new lunch go-to spot. read more
